the reason balm of life isn't used by the AI is because it's too valuable... Game doesn't want the AI to suddenly hurl an item that's more useful in your hands than the AIs. it's stupid, but I think for casuals using joker and act freely it's probably saved TONs of runs.

100% agree with lowering the difficulty, hell you should have done it in the first place! We all know you could have grinded to 99 in the first palace and wrecked the game on any difficulty if you wanted to.
Ya know, you'd think with the Okumura fight progressing in a manner that you take out his employees until he runs out, he'd function like Kaneshiro where he eventually exhausts his resources (employees) and is forced to bringing out the big guy, not infinitely respawns robots until you kill the whole wave. This change to how his fight works doesn't even make sense.
I imagine that the MDL-WKR bots could be replaced infinitely since they basically represent the (most expendable in Okumura's eyes) entry-level workers in the company. The next wave (MDL-CH, the chairmen) onward would have a limit to the number of respawns, and said limit would get smaller as the PTs fight through the chain of command. There probably wouldn't be enough time to win the fight if all non-WKR respawns were exhausted, but there probably could be if the DM and GM respawns were (even if barely). Also, what if Execurobo gained a second action per turn if GM (and maybe DM) respawns were exhausted, and/or if wasn't reached until after the halfway (15-minute) mark? I think that in order to still be somewhat fair, Big Bang Order would only be usable as a secondary action, and Big Bang Challenge would be followed by doing nothing (with some sort of flavor text). Also, double Executive Punch could be turned into an advantage with a Repel Phys persona and a Spotlight, Limelight, or Taunting Aura on Joker...
I know that this is absolutely a "too little, too late" situation, but looking through this run, I honestly think that you should have been allowed to add Morgana into your party after his removal in Okumura's palace. At least, at the palace entrance. All that adding a teammate into your party at the entrance entails is going through a dialogue option. And you already established that going through dialogue options is fine (as the run would obviously be impossible otherwise), and even the fact that optional dialogue options are okay in Futaba's palace. And while this may feel like taking the idea of the run a bit too literally, it's not as though going through a dialogue option that adds a teammate into your party is out of the ordinary in this run. You already go through dialogue options with teammates, and the process of meeting up to agree to go into the palace in the first place is an act of Joker making their teammates do something. I can kind of get not doing it in menus, but adding a teammate into your party at the palace entrance isn't really doing anything meaningful that you weren't already allowing Joker to do. However, since you've already put yourself through all of this, it'd be kind of redundant to go back on that now.
I'm worried about how he's going to handle Sae's palace when Akechi inevitably replaces one of his party members. And then what he's going to do for Shido's Palace and Depths once Akechi leaves the party and leaves a gap in the line-up. I agree that Nitsua should be allowed to change party members at the beginning of an infiltration, but not during the middle of one through menu-ing. Also thanks for doing all this Nitsua, your videos are really cool ^^
This was exactly what I thought when I watched part 1, not only would being able to switch party members make the run easier reduce the grind and make it less rng dependent but it would also be more interesting since you have options now, it also fits with the spirit of the run since your party members are still doing all the work while joker sits and guards
Perhaps its poetic really that Doing Nothing would be hardest in the castle run by a slave driver. I'm pretty sure of the times I've died in both Royal and Vanilla, Rebellious Excrement has been responsible for over half of them because of his wage war bollocks. Honestly I think whatever you do or decide to do moving forward in this run, or doing nothing at all, its more than earned and deserved, you have hardly any flexibility in this run compared to others and you've still hardly backed down really. Amazing work as always, and thanks for more amazing content through ball breaking hardship

The main problem about this fight is not that bots leave after 2 turns, but the fact that you can't use all-out attacks to 1)do more damage 2) reset bots from downed state to exploit baton pass. Without this two mechanic it was a huge pain to beat green bots even with normal party at normal difficulty(and i've beaten xcom2:lwoth on legendary, i KNOW something about tactic) just because they were JUST TOO durable. This was literally the only moment i had to grind in the entire game.
The Luigi comparison is a very valid point. It would be impossible to do pretty much any minigame on hard or above. So I don't care what difficulty you're on. You spent so much time and effort, it's cool either way! And now I wanna try some challenges too! Lots of love from Sweden❤️
Okay guys, refresh my memory. I know that Akechi isn't automatically added to the party upon entering Niijima's Palace for the first time, but what about during his "tutorial fight"? Because, if the game forces you to add him there, then it will subsequently force him out of the party come Shido's Palace, which might end up meaning that this run will be stuck one character short from that point on. As if this run didn't need any more reasons to suck.

I am alway amazed to see creatior turning this game on his hat. I even want to try this: Persona 5 Nuzlock: Easy Run: DLC is allowed. Any difficulty. Normal Run: Start 18.4 If the Player dies, the Persona is dead. Mercyless Run. If a Teamember dies, you cant use him anymore (or block if you dont have Yusuke) exept he gets a new Persona (Trickster/3th Semester). If a Persona is executed or deleted its counts as dead. Dead Personas can be rebuyed by Compendium (but only as fusion material) Any ending. Hard Run: Start from the beginning. No overleveling. 3th Semester ending. Hope i dont regret it. PS: Sonic Games woude be cool!
Now I'm curious as to how the Okumura fight goes if you exploit the "dialogue loophole" in the rules by talking to Morgana at the palace entrance...although, it would be better for my time and sanity to temporarily break some rules for an easier grind, then follow them for the actual boss test...
Okumara Arc: There is reason to allow party swapping so stuff like this never occurs - Allowing the ability to further strategize by using characters when needed.
Honestly this series randomly appeared in my recommended today and truth be told if a challenge run like this is intruding into your real life and effecting you own health be it mental physical or both the challenge either needs to be dropped entirely for your sake OR edit the rules to make it more bearable, sure the challenge could be doable with absolute perfect RNG in both the enemy and ally AI but the odds of seeing that is so small you'd probably have better luck getting hit by a bolt of Lightning...in a cave on a clear day. Some people would say this would be taking the easy way out but honestly I would have done the same probably alot earlier too, I like challenge runs but if a run gives me THIS much resistance then its not worth it in my eyes.

I really think this run would be slightly less hellish if you could change party members outside the palace. You’re doing it outside of menus, it’s within the spirit of the run (since it’s your allies who are doing all the work) and it would allow for a degree of strategy

No idea how you're gonna tackle the Cruiser of Pride without breaking the rules. Even the funny pancake man will be tough since I'm pretty sure you'll be down to 3 party members (until The Phantom Thieves rejoin after your solo fight with Kasumi that is also impossible) since it'll remove Akechi from the team after the Casino and there's no awakening fights afterwards.

The joke he made about joker telling them to throw the item in kaneshiros boss fight is half true actually. Saying “yes you can throw an item” doesn’t really count as doing nothing but telling them which item to throw is what really counts
I love how they actually made Okumura's boss fight worse in Royal I didn't have the right Persona's for the fight and ended up wasting 20 minutes of my life fruitlessly wailing away on one of the waves since while I could knock all 4 down I couldn't finish them all off afterwards, what a horribly designed fight.

This reminds me of doing Fire Emblem Three Houses with only counterattacks, and especially my "lasting damage" run... The PTSD of those runs on Maddening is real... Only counters is self explanatory, but Lasting Damage was BRUTAL, and took me over 500 attempts to do (because i'm an idiot...)! The run means that whatever damage a unit takes from enemies is permanent, meaning that you have to keep track of it yourself, and if a character ever goes over a total damage amount higher than their max HP at that moment, they are considered dead... Think a pokemon Nuzlocke, if you were NEVER allowed to heal damage, not even with abilities that heal, and can only restore PP! The only thing that makes it possible is the ability to take 0 damage from an attack, instead of a minimum of 1, but even then i was sure i would get softlocked near the end, when enemies started to have both magic and physical skills, making it close to impossible to wall them completely without insane evasion...
I'm gonna say that the control room fight in Kaneshiro's palace is negated and not considered as it's an unintentional bug in the AI. That's one that can be overlooked if you direct command for that fight

During Shido's boss fight any empty slots will be filled with Morgana, Ann and Ryuji respectively.

I might be alone in this but I'd quite enjoy a ffxv run. I love that game too, and would love to see more people that appreciate it talk about it.

I feel sonic, hitman, fallout, and uncharted/TLOU could all make for interesting vids, but keep up the good work cause damn this challenge sounds so draining

I didn't have the right Persona's for the fight and ended up wasting 20 minutes of my life fruitlessly wailing away on one of the waves since while I could knock all 4 down I couldn't finish them all off afterwards, what a horribly designed fight.

3:39 it’s true I found out the hard way when I forgot to do a request and I decided to look on the request part of the main menu and it said that they disappeared into the depths of mementoes
This reminds me of doing Fire Emblem Three Houses with only counterattacks, and especially my "lasting damage" run... The PTSD of those runs on Maddening is real...
Only counters is self explanatory, but Lasting Damage was BRUTAL, and took me over 500 attempts to do (because i'm an idiot...)! The run means that whatever damage a unit takes from enemies is permanent, meaning that you have to keep track of it yourself, and if a character ever goes over a total damage amount higher than their max HP at that moment, they are considered dead...
Think a pokemon Nuzlocke, if you were NEVER allowed to heal damage, not even with abilities that heal, and can only restore PP! The only thing that makes it possible is the ability to take 0 damage from an attack, instead of a minimum of 1, but even then i was sure i would get softlocked near the end, when enemies started to have both magic and physical skills, making it close to impossible to wall them completely without insane evasion...
this run is pretty much " never say persona 5 is to easy ever again."
fun fact : I actually had to swap from easy to merciless to finish okumuras because i physically couldnt do enough damage 😭😭

I'm gonna say that the control room fight in Kaneshiro's palace is negated and not considered as it's an unintentional bug in the AI. That's one that can be overlooked if you direct command for that fight
he was 10 levels above okumura and it stll took him half the video to finish that palace WOW
