Yes. For people like me, who crave imaginative new music of distinction, like it's some kind of drug addiction, Despair Is My Name is a head-rush on a stick. Especially the second half when the synths kick in. Mournfall is a brilliant album. One can only hope the new one will be something near as good because bettering it would be a gargantuan task. (New album 31/3/23 BTW).
Which comes directly from In the woods... as this one is very similar to their primigene way to play black metal. Maybe it's because Old Forest is a Mr. Fog's side-project
They have got 5 full-lenghts out more since that one, as Tales of the Sussex Weald compiles the two Ep's into one album which is, by no means, a compilation. Excluding this one ofc. High quality there, you need to listen'em

Mit Lord Asgaqlun von Dunkelgrafen/Vilkates etc. stand ich damlas auch mal in Briefkontakt... hahaha.. Briefe hat man sich da noch per Hand geschrieben... fuck, ist das lange her :D
Weisste da hör ich mir die Gothic von Paradise Lost lieber an, wenn ich schnulzige Mucke hörn will. Das läuft aber genau so wenig unter Black Metal wie das hier und deshalb hat beides nix hier verloren. Nenn es wie Du willst.

This is a really accessible album for black metal neophytes. But that doesn't mean it isn't great. I absolutely is.
It never fails to amaze me how much beautiful music there is to be discovered in BM.
