If anyone ever tells you “Metal is just a bunch of angry screaming” then you can laugh at them whilst thinking of this masterpiece of an album. There is so much emotion in this music this is what every melo black metal band aspires to be. 11/10 would listen again
I mean, this isn't like avante garde music that eschews traditional tonalities or anything like that, but it's simple enough to dismantle the idea "that metal is just screaming noise" with something of an understanding of music theory.

@@77blacktrip Nah, never liked their stuff. I have the same problem with HftS as I have with Darkthrone, the music is good, but I absolutely dislike the voice. Can't listen to it, so I didn't even boher with their new album.
@@DasTod fair enough mate. I have that issue with a ton of bands I just can't get into the vocals. I think JJs vocals in hfts fits their sound perfectly, but that's just me.
There are several versions for the inscription on the stone in Russian folklore.
The most common:
If you go to the right, you will lose your horse, but you will save yourself.
If you go to the left, you will lose yourself, but you will save the horse.
If you go straight, you will lose yourself and your horse.

this is so good album, i really enjoyed it. some parts are epic, but some make me feel calming, peaceful..? and album cover is in as similar mood as music, pure gold

There are a lot of bands/solo artists bringing out albums in this genre but this one definitely stands out! Love the gravelly guitar and bass sound. Great stuff! It's one of those albums that I can listen to beginning to end
