I first watched this gem of a movie when I was 16 yrs old and at the time I didn’t understand why so many people considered it a great comedy, 20 years later I finally understood why they said that and see that it's an exceptional dark comedy about the grim state of reality of our world, far ahead of its time. Back then I was too naive and had been spoiled by movies like American Pie and National Lampoon

I first saw this when I was much too young, and I think that Peter Sellers' most impressive feat is that I never realized he was playing three parts until a few years later...
My favorite fun fact: The set designers made the B-52 cockpit off a single photo and what they could access from the previous generation of aircraft, and apparently it was so good that Kubrick was worried it would get them in trouble.

Is this the best political satire film ever? In terms of pure comedy as well as cogent commentary on the subject matter, especially with something as complex as the Cold War.

@@ICEWALRUS sadly I must regret to inform you that I had to abandon that project (for now). 1) not enough time between work and life to get this out to be a Halloween special 2) the middle section of the Dracula book was was a drag to read lol
      Not never. Just not now.

@couchbumkino5423 it's funny you say that because bram was very much considered a mediocre author at the time and mostly wrote short stories for newspapers, which is what dracula orginally was. He was extremely well read, which is why dracula mashes together many cultures he was studying into draculas origin.
It's the source material, so it plays a key role in what we see today from the mythos, but yes after we leave the castle and have to listen to lucy bitch about getting seduced by a bat nightly it goes stale quickly.

LOL I appreciate the book’s significance, but goddamn Dracula is nowhere to be seen for like 150 pages while I read about Victorian era love triangles
