- If you are not ready to file your tax forms, you don’t have to scramble (and possibly make a mistake). You can get an extension from the IRS and the state - until October to file your forms. In this video, we’ll walk you through the steps to get an extension - which are actually pretty simple. Your deadline is April 18.
Please don’t stop the video too quickly, though! We have important info to share (around :48) about what you have to do if you think you will have to pay when you file your return. Bottom line: DC wants its money now - not in October. Same for CA!
