- Porridge is a popular breakfast item in Jamaica. It is not only tasty, but also packed with many beneficial vitamins and minerals!
Here is how I make my creamy peanut and plantain porridge.
Ingredients
1 cup raw, uncooked peanuts
1 small green plantain (can be substituted for flour, cornstarch, or green bananas)
2 pinches of salt
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp vanilla flavoring
1/3 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp cinnamon extract
1 tsp almond flavoring
1/4 sugar (or as needed)
condensed milk....as needed
