This reel looks identical to a Zebco Cardinal 557 reel I have. It has to be some kind of cheap copy. I don’t particularly care for Silstar reeels. Thanks for this video though! - Chris PS. Did you find that Hertter’s 1580 reel on the internet?
Yes, I found it using Google to search with. I’m not a fan of Google but if I can’t find what I’m looking for I’ll jump over there. So that’s you idea of the most beautiful reel? I’m more partial to the appearance of the old Penn and Ocean City bait caster reels. Everyone has their own opinion of what beauty is. That why there are so many different ones. Enjoy that 1580 and Fish On.
@@youngmartinsreels5314 I am about 60% blind so I can only use spinning reels. I’m pretty sure that this Hertter’s 1580 is a Daiwa as I have one that looks identical to it. As far as beauty is concerned, I built an all chrome Mitchell 498 completely from parts. It took months to find everything and then get it all to fit together properly. That reel is the most beautiful spinning reel I have ever seen and yes I’m prejudiced because I built it. I recently got a Mer 52 PUNCH PUM surf spinning reel made in France in 1955. It is glossy black, has a skirted spool, has an oscillation system that works on levers, and a huge ball bearing like a Luxor Saumon Mer. It is my second most beautiful reel. I have two of them now. So the Hertter’s is nice but doesn’t hold a candle to these reels.
Excelent vídeo !!! 😉 👍 😎
I love this Type of spinn reels !!!! 😉

As for the SilStar, It could very well have been made by Zebco as a “Trade” reel, and sold under the SilStar name. It’s a very solid, well made reel.
@@youngmartinsreels5314 Good to know!
