I know just where they need to start: those paths were they gain speed. I mean even sonic doesnt just randomly give you this speed all the time. You usally earn to go fast through the entire level. This just seems like random speed boosts.

I dont udnerstand why people like this games graphics over the original game. There is something lackluster about the art direction - it looks flat and simply cant compete with the sonic-esque detail and "ingenuity" of the first games pixelart. Im sorry but Im going to be THAT guy and state I really dont like the look of this game - and wish the designer stuck to the art direction the prequel was heading in.
I mean in the first FP, I swear Milla was so god damn hard to use and know she seems like the most fun i'll have fun with. Everybody just seems more fun to play as. It will get better. Christopher Sabat (English Vegeta from Dragom Ball Z) and Lindsay Jones (Ruby from RWBY) are in this game as major characters and Sabat is handling voice direction. I have no doubt they'll be great.

Freedom Planet 2 looks worse, I know the game is running on Unity now but the assests looks so off, and seeing the scalling even a good gameplay element make it look even worse and you see how basic it works. Also why they added some more things that looks like Sonic like the animation when you jump on a spring, I was hoping this game will go away from Sonic and beeing more its own thing, now it looks like they wanna to get thouse people who only play 16bit Sonic without notice we already have a game in development for that fanbse the game is called Sonic Mania! I got FP on day 1 but this game maybe if it is on sale
Uhh... No. The character redesigns were specifically made to distance itself from Sonic. Spring jump animations really aren't just from Sonic. Also, they most definitely know Sonic Mania is in development, because Christian Whitehead is helping with development of this game.
It's a shame that for the sake of cuteness they all look the same despise their race being different. You can't barely tell what animal they are representing...Look at pokemon they stay simple and cute but you can tell what animal they have been inspired from.
so while sega is off killing its franchise by leasing it to the same company that continues to screw up, the sonic series blatant rip-off is surpassing it just by keeping it simple, and the only thing rivaling it is sonic mania, a group of mod makers from the original sonic games. all in all sega is going to die and this will take its place weather it was intentional or not.

The stage clear music is beautiful. Got that creamy 90's aesthetic.

The dragon boost doesn't feel as mystical as it was in the first game. I'm sure they'll fix that. Either way great music and great gameplay.

If only the custom controls weren't' so messed up right now.
You're still able to map them in the Options menu, just every time you launch the demo.

Yeah. Keep in your mind thought: I wrote that comment months ago and even then I wasn't aware the game was at the VERY FIRST stage of the development.
The design is plain because the level has to accommodate 4 different characters and play-styles.
Alright they changed the style so that it's less sonic-like. They can stop calling it a rip-off now :)

Well to be honest. This is and mania are 2D. Comparing the 3D games (Sonic team games) would be unfair
