This is extraordinary. The rhythms, key changes and melodies are insane. Linley Marthe drives the band. I love the way they all keep looking across at Joe for the directions. Just when you think they have reached the peak it goes up a whole new level. Saw this band at the Camden Jazz Cafe the same year. JZ is sorely missed. The Master.

Among all the fantastic rythms. AND Joe Zawinuls whispering, like no other, and caressing his keys, as well as his amazing soundscape.
      The bassplayer is insanly good:
      Fingers like Flee
Accuratess and preciseness as Billy Cobham
      Melodies like Jan Hammer
Playing bass, not guitarsolo, like a real man
And in the middle of music and grooving the bass is surfing on top of the harmonics
I am blown out my mind!
Maby, for real, on my top 3 best bass in my life!
      And I am 65!!

    Joe Zawinul
As a composer, jazz keyboardist, bandleader and hit-maker, he put his stamp on five decades of music - through his own bands, Weather Report (co-founded with saxophonist Wayne Shorter) and the Zawinul Syndicate, and also the tunes he wrote for Cannonball Adderley and Miles Davis.

His musicianship and improvisational skills that sound just absolutely astounding to me and how he spontaneously combusts all these ideas as he listens. Just awesome iimo.

I am with you on that statement. I sawJaco, I’ve seen Haslip, I’ve seen Mbappe, etc etc. I’ve seen Linley and he is right there. The first time I saw him with Paco Sery, they blew me away...
