    When giving feedback to employees, you have to point out what they're doing that is good.
    Suggestions for improvement is only one part of constructive feedback. If you don't point out what they're doing that's good, how will they know to keep that up?
    I am neurodivergent (autistic, also currently waiting to be assessed for ADHD), and I can confirm that taking criticism isn't one of my strengths. But I have learned how to give constructive feedback, and I know that suggestions for improvement and praising what is being done right are equally important.

      @petercdowney You raise excellent points. I think when giving feedback as a manager you must approach it from the mindset and intention of helping the other person (not yourself). Giving praise and positive feedback is essential. Research suggests that you need to give positive feedback at least 3 times as much as corrective feedback to keep staff happy. How many managers meet that bar? J
