The first time I everr had buck wheat pancakes was in a resident which served nothing but pancakes & eggs etc. the pancakes were so good I never got forgot them.
Delicious. I had no cider vinegar so added a tablespoon of Greek yoghurt. Also added an egg. I will definitely be making these again. TY for the recipe.
If you subbed the sugar with molasses, and the white wheat with whole wheat you might just duplicate those great IHOP buckwheat pancakes I would get. Looks good though.
Absolutely. I make mine with flax seed flour and garbanzo (chickpea) flour - and cinnamon - and sometimes I add mashed pumpkin or banana to the batter. It's all good.
I love buckwheat pancakes i freeze them for toaster, and buckwheat cereal.
I didn’t know this about buckwheat!! Those came out really good! Nothing better than home made pancakes 🥰

So jealous right now. Absolutely LOVE buckwheat pancakes. But haven't been able to find any out here in Oregon. Guess I may need to look online.

Can we substitute arrowroot flour for the all purpose flour ?
I’ve not tried it with arrowroot flour but I have used gluten free flour and they turn out nice.
Is there a need for the melted butter? Would applesauce work?
The butter gives helps keep pancakes moist but yes you can substitute with applesauce.
Will almond flour work for the half cup???

You should have shown the texture of pancakes instead of eating and telling us how light and fluffy they are.
They were light and fluffy.
