I'm not so sure the new 2024 RX350 with that Turbo 4 will live up to the old v6 RX350. I drove a 2024 RX350 sad to say the 4 turbo is too small for the car. The 2024 Turbo 4 is a perfect fit for the NX350.
Don't these manufacturers take it up the exhaust pipe by warranty issues year after year? Not to mention reputation. Apparently, people are just too stupid to keep buying them, rather than these Companies actually put out a quality product for $70000.
Good morning Thomas, I really get what you are saying and it’s totally bizarre people are in denial. For example there are recalls for millions of Kia’s and Hyundais, news stories, interviews, and I personally know people on the short end of that stick and there are those who still support them and say”mine has been perfect”. The cost of vehicles these days is also a result of misinformed people making bad decisions that continue to drive these prices up. There are some amazing cars out there still and some decent reputable manufacturers but yet people follow the “light”, lol. How have things been over there. Have you been shopping for anything new?
@@ECPPhey Mark! Another great video! Again, head scratching, as to why the general public persist in buying crappy cars. The Kia and Hyundai brands seem to be at a price point that is attractive to many people, thus, accounting for their popularity, arguably. My eldest son bought one and, true to form, had the engine replaced, etc fortunately they backed up the warranty. I think the car industry, in general, is really taking it in the shorts. High interest rates and, now, the strike with the big three of domestic automakers. Of course, this affects the workers in Canada, being closely allied for decades with the manufacturers. Prices for trucks hitting 70 grand! Etc etc. I'm still looking at 911s lol, noticing a downward trend on certain models. Lo and behold, the best sport car out there is the Jaguar F-Type with the R priced reasonably, IMO! Just back from Vegas, time to settle in for winter. Not nearly as harsh as yours, however!
Thanks Thomas. It is interesting how even the worst vehicles with well known issues and recalls are still heavily supported by consumers. ie FORD (the best selling pickup in America)
That JEEP GRAND WAGONEER...does it have the Hurricane I6? I am not confident this new engjne will be without issues. Man Marc you made my wife and I laugh when you said some dudes cant get things to rise. I love your style...you have energy to spare. Your passion makes for great viewer entertainment.
This review is a little too hard on the Volvo XC60….it is a modern vehicle with cutting edge tech…and as a technical professional, I understand software glitches. The 2024 has Google integrated infotainment that has the ability to be updated over the air with very effective updates being pushed out. I think it is a safe bet if you understand the vehicle. Also, too hard on the Benz. I think you are splitting hairs, especially when it comes to depreciation. Of course luxury vehicles depreciate…tell us something we don’t know… The rest of your assessment of the others I agree with…
Subarus can surprisingly be money pits. Head gaskets, suspension, engine and CVT problems, you name it. My friend's Subaru Outback 3.6R with the CVT seems to be even more problematic than my Alfa Romeo Stelvio 2.0T which is known to be problem cars. His Subaru is a 2016 and he's already on his second CVT, had his head gasket replaced and is still burning oil and misfiring. His suspension also needs an overhaul at this point as it shakes violently above 35mph making it insafe to drive. He at least now needs ball joints, shocks and struts, tie rods, and sway bars and this is a 2016 model.
Dad owns a 2004 Subaru Legacy wagon only suspension issues during his ownership everything else was sweet not bad for a car that he's own for 16 years 😂
Wow!!! You must have bought a serious lemon. I've always had Subarus and so far they have been great. Right now I own 3: 2016 Legacy 3.6r, 2019 Legacy 3.6r and 2020 Forester Sport. I've also owned Foresters and WRX. As long as you don't buy the turbo models the engines are solid. The all wheel drive system has always been solid and never failed. The weakest link in the current Subaru is the CVT transmission but it has a 100000 mile warranty. At least it doesn't cost as much to replace or fix as a battery pack on an EV.
@@TheRaysDoc old ones without the turbos can last a very long time my dad prefers this over a brand new model with all the latest features which is fair enough I guess 😅
some average people just want to feel a bit of luxury in their life instead of always settling for your everyday toyota corrolla or civic, not a knock on them, but these money pits are just discouraging
Never buy a Jeep 🚙 Mercedes GLE, GLA, GLC, Cadillac, Audi, Jaguar, Range Rover, Ford anything. If you want a luxury SUV get a Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus LX.
Basically "don't buy any fun car with character, performance, dynamics etc that excites you. Buy dull lifeless, featureless boring cars for reliability". Guess not everyone is so broke to do that.
@@sharondalynnewton7562 those are solid, and the new expeditions are pretty hilariously fast. i was driving 7 people to dinner and decided id give it some gas, and before i knew it we were going 80. would definitely take one over GM's AFM crappy 3.0L diesel tahoes or gas tahoes
I Absolutely Agree with this first GM, You better hope it's Not over 100.000 Miles because My brother's 2018 Suburban is literally a Huge pile of 💩, This Transmission pump Problem is terrible, His is falling apart and dosen't even move, Well it does until the oil pump looses prime because it eating itself, If I had one better change that transmission fluid every 30,000 miles and DON'T push it, Because it WILL fly apart ..., It's sad GM had decent Vehicles.
yeah GM has decided that they can no longer afford to make something actually tough. their AFM systems also are horrendous on top of that. they are by far the worst for reliablity in their class. hell my uncle has had less issues with his jaguar i-pace and that's saying something.
the thing many people are failing to realize is that this literally doesn't happen. not at all. i think many people who are skeptical about EVs push these types of arguements, but they hold no truth value. we have had a 2013 tesla model s we recently sold with 190K miles on it. The only trouble it gave us were a few interior electrical problems, and the notorious drive unit issues on early teslas (repair cost us nothing). id also like to debunk the claim that tires wear out faster on EVs. This is rarely true (unless its a 10K lb hummer). We also have a Model Y that we got back in 2020 and it's only on it's second set of tires at 53K miles. A few things that are true mentioned in this video is that the panel gaps are a bit much, and the model y's interior is.. just not great. In addition, we've had some electrical problems with the old model s and model y, but that's just part of being an american car i guess. and the last is resale value, which in some cases is awful, yet another american car thing. plaid has been completely solid though
Its actually sad knowing that the current Grand Wagoneer is now considered to be an unreliable luxury SUV by using typical Fiat/ Chrysler parts. The old Grand Wagoneer from 1960s to 1990s was proper built like a tank and it lasted forever while carrying families and hauling things, and it was the very first American Luxury SUV ever made, and it started the luxury SUV trend. And its closest competitor was the Toyota Land Cruiser, and theyre shooting up in value right now. I would gladly take the old Grand Wagoneer over that Fiat Wagoneer.

Kind of off topic but we had a 07 corvette with a 6liter and in 2022 with 24,000 and easy driving the cylinder 6 crashed
$12,000 later a new engine we dumped the thing at CarMax. Never ever will I have another GM product
Lexus is my choice now
Good choice
Simple avoid bmw, Land Rover, Audi, All the American luxury cars/SUV, and you will be just fine
Cheers
Landrover is like Cheeps. Overated and appeal to the ones who have no intelligence.
The modern car is overloaded with electronics and computerization. You should do a video showing the worst of these
Heers
Great Vid.
You have a great channel for critical thinkers... My 2010 FJ Cruiser has 113k, and has been bulletproof for 5 years now...Along with my Lexus GX460, and 06 Tacoma, I've had years of great driving...😁😁😁😁😁
I agree with you about the jeep and the Mercedes
That Jeep is on another level
I still laugh about. 4 yr free oil changes on new BMW. The only place where free costs $13.
Haha, indeed
Buy a full equiped Highlander Hybrid instead of a Mercedes or any german SUV.
Of course luxury vehicles depreciate…tell us something we don’t know…
The rest of your assessment of the others I agree with…
Subarus can surprisingly be money pits.
I avoid CVTs. The Mazda CX series is comparable and doesn't use CVT.
Jeep should also be embarrassed for producing such a headache! Go mark GO!
Jeeps are money pit cars 😂😂😂

At 15 minutes into the video, I agree with you 💯 %
How do you no they just came out
I love how, in your intro, you throw urself back in the seat before the car even moves. Ya might wanna re-think that.
Thanks for the comment
some average people just want to feel a bit of luxury in their life instead of always settling for your everyday toyota corrolla or civic, not a knock on them, but these money pits are just discouraging
Never buy a Jeep 🚙 Mercedes GLE, GLA, GLC, Cadillac, Audi, Jaguar, Range Rover, Ford anything.
If you want a luxury SUV get a Toyota Land Cruiser or Lexus LX.
Can’t go wrong with the Toyota products
I love my ford expedition. Love my ford cars. Brought brand new drive for 21 years. Then replaced with same product.
@sharondalynnewton7562 Well, you are the first person ever.
People who buy these cars have an endless pit of money, I don't, so I'll stick to my Toyota and Lexus.
World would be a boring place if everyone would just buy a crappy Toyota because "it's muh reliable". Just like you say in your intro.
Yeh but I laughed all the way to the bank by simply buying Toyotas keep them forever and save a fortune in investments not cars.
I absolutely love Land Rover Range Rover they are so awesome 😎 looking just worried about reliability and quality
How does he know they're going to be money pits if they are 2024's? Does he have a Crystal Ball? A time machine?
Good picks......as for the Volvo......a Swedish car company building in China......what could go wrong??😂
What about peugeot 3008 ?
TESLA = Terribly Expensive Super Lackluster Automobiles
Haha
Still riding with Volvo👌🏾 never had problems with my s60
Nice vehicles , sadly some spotty reliability in some models
What if the battery pack goes out on that Tesla and it is not covered by warranty? That has to be the biggest drawback of any EV.
Huge
20k for a new battery😬
Not for aduis etron doe u can replace the whole thang for $300
What can "go out" in a battery pack that would require replacement? It literally never happens.
the thing many people are failing to realize is that this literally doesn't happen. not at all. i think many people who are skeptical about EVs push these types of arguements, but they hold no truth value. we have had a 2013 tesla model s we recently sold with 190K miles on it.
Have a 2021 GLB. Zero issues and a great car.
You probably don't drive it 🤣
Attention!!! Please stay away from the Range Rover! You might do better in Vegas, instead of purchasing this vehicle.
Haha, they are risky. Huge exoenses
You can't go wrong with a Toyota
Dear Land Rover, pop out doors please
stop doing no not that one, it is so predictable, a waste of time, and it is irritating, nonetheless you are my valued teacher
