Just want to put this one to bed if you look at the ground when we took the flags up The ground was like solid concrete the amount of sand and cement was like I’ve never seen before so I’ll guarantee that ramp will never move unless the tank goes over it I’ve been doing this job for a long time and we know what were doing thank you👍
Nice job , we've all done a few spots before , and looks good and will hold , I've got a shed in my garden on 60x60 slabs on five spots and it's still holding after 23 years , and your customers life is gonna be alot easier ✅
I wonder if it would have been a better idea to build the ramp off the right side and have a flat landing in front of the door. It seems it would be a little tough to unlock and open the door for someone in a wheelchair while trying to not roll backwards.
Us old farts don't always no best stu 😂 I've only ever had one speed I did my time with a firm of stone masons all in their 60 s mates of my grandfather . You should have seen the tools they used brades trowels wooden levels but they really knew their trade .me I'm just an old bricky and happy to see lads like you that care
There's a tip from KC there for all tradesmen...tuck your t shirt into your underpants to avoid the builders bum! KC loves that little scraper he's got. It makes an appearance in every vid, ha! Keep up the good work lads.
Here's my 2 pence because hey why not, for every inch in height the ramp needs to be a foot long. A 1:12 gradient by law or so I'm told. You can get into trouble if someone hurts themselves. Don't give them an inch buddy because people are right swines... [oh and there needs to be a level platform by the door of 1.2 M even before you start with the slope and up stands/wheelchair stops...
I could see where you were coming from but your dad seems old school. It’s good that he thinks of the costumer first and not the extra work it makes him. Good on ya both your true craftsmen. 👍👍
They will be loose within a year ,, should be a solid dry bed
Wrong
@@bigvegass Ive been doing it most days for 20 years ,,what about you ?
@@telstar9 well said brother👏👍
Exactly
True. Also the ramp was off center as well
I think it may have been an idea to pack up the ramp with some MOT type I and get rid of those voids.
WeJOHN
Your dad's great. Love that he cares so much about the job!
was thinking exactly the same thing
Im a carpenter and i see building work all the time but i still like watching these videos very interesting
Thank you , Stu and KC .

You need to release a dang playlist. Came for the brickwork, stayed for the excellent music and positive attitude

B&Q Leigh! I grew up just down the road on Kirkhall Lane.
Love the 'safety sandles' and the stihl saw!
U gave me hope to do it. Thanks
Another fabulous job 👌
Oh spotting my pet hate. A full bed of mortar for me Stu. Nice job anyway
When you dads had enough, I’d gladly come work with you . 👍😎

Ur welcome stu anytime 😁👍🏻
Sweet job nice to see someone taking time to get it right
It’s so easy to pick at peoples work.
Ants are going to love it
Always thinking about animals and insects you see Andy 🐜
i love a good comedy act
We do too 😂
Like your style stu its about getting the job done 😂😂😂🤙
Dead right to get the chop saw out! haha no way I would've even entertained the idea of doing it manually
Work smart not hard
Satisfying
Me - I wonder if i can put up a ramp in 2 days, how hard can it possibly be?
Watches video - i think i need a professional 🤣
Muito bom seu trabalho
the new mazda MERCEDES GTS hahahah

Top jobs top blokes

Underneath the flags is fine as it's only taking wheelchair weight and footfall not traffic.
There’s a nice Mazda , zooms into Mercedes logo😂
Enjoyed videos stu ask kc what was he thinking he'd off been retired by the time he'd have finished 😀😀👍👍👍👍
Great as always
Bloody hell Stu! You enjoyed some beautiful weather up Norf! It's been bloody freezing down sarf! Looks like KC was sagging Great Work, Well Done! ⚒
Cheers John mate hope you’re well
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
ótimo vídeo meu irmão
parabéns!
I think it is not durable with time, when it comes to rain or when it comes to flowing water it will sink
KC is a bit too worried about those doors! lol
I suppose your area doesn't need to worry about frost (and heaving)
Why the bottom is not using the system of the work, whether with work like that.
I live in Leigh
Hi Stu. Been watching your vids for ages and wanting to know if you can build me a garden wall. I know i'll get a good job, hence this enquiry. Bill.
Of course Bill 👍
Hi Stu, That's great. How do I get in touch personally to arrange. Not a Facebook user. Bill.
Do you argue with your Dad a lot?😂
Good video stu, stick to the trowel though mate your useless with motors, that was a Merc! 😂😂
me eyes must be going i could of sworn it was a mazda tho lol
Do you have another pair of socks like those at home?
That looks smart

If it's good enough for Superman and Batman....
why is the ramp not central with the doors
Looks like your dad wanted to work hard while u wanted to work smart lol
Lot of gaps under there, should of least filled the gaps with sub base to fill the voids
Edges are more of a trip problem flags could have been cut diagonally to ramp sides.
enveloped
Stu excellent bricklayer but stick to bricks that won’t last one ☝️ winter in the uk not your best work hope you didn’t charge them to much
Was laughing my socks off at you and KC bickering 🤣
Just been up your way pick a roof rack up (eBay special)
Lol Tim hope the rack is a good one 👍
Love a good rack 🤣
I don’t think is right, all hallow, I will teach to do that !!!
Top 💯👌🏼
Beene talking about this at work , is kc your old man ?? What’s his name also 😂💪🏻
Luke Gara I’d guess that KC are his initials, C being crompton, I’m gonna guess either Kevin or Keith.
Thats a mercedes 😂😂
Mazda😂that’s a mer amp gt-r mate...
How's b and q building sand these days only used once years ago needed to add half a bottle of fairy each mix to make it workable, right chaff.
It does the job mate
Avoid any bags that are wet or look contaminated with mud, clean dry sand makes all the difference.
It’s actually not too bad. Better than Travis’s anyway.
Mark Felts yep always found it a nightmare to use bricklaying , slabbing no prob.
+Steven SDbuild Yeah Travis is bad and expensive.
You tell him kc
Do some more vids
👍

Surely that's a trip hazard now no ?
John-Paul Steele yes to be ultra critical they could of raised side slabs at angles, but still a good tidy job.
I would agree JP if you was walking past the front door but normally people walk in and out of front doors, well that’s what I tend to do anyway 👍
People need to look where theyre going then 😄
we're :p
Hay sty, leave your dad alone mate. There ain’t many builders about that want to do a clean job.
You 2 are a good match tho.
We could clean after that we my point 😁😁👍
I could see where you were coming from but your dad seems old school. It’s good that he thinks of the costumer first and not the extra work it makes him.
Good on ya both your true craftsmen. 👍👍
could of just protected the doors with corex and low tack tape
Dont like the yellow edges 🤮
should dry the same colour as the flags vaughny so wont stand out as much but i know what your saying
2;54 not your best view m8 lol
😕
