What about a flight that was changed from 2 am to 2pm without calling the customer to notify them of the change. Now they have my money forcing me to travel or lose it. Mind you had to book a whole new flight to keep my vacation date in march!

How does this not have class action lawsuit written all over it? If you have to be somewhere for your job at a given time, and you are on-duty to perform any task at all, you should have to be paid for that time.
The significant delay refund is not going to be valid for weather delay or cancellations. Also, if you do have a significant delay, and you choose to continue on the flight, you won't get a refund. it's only if you decide to not continue and want a refund.
It makes sense . Imagine airlines getting in pressure of cost cutting and decide to fly despite weather changes . I would prefer to loose money than to be in mercy of these corporate greedy ppl

Im from the philippines and just experienced this terrible thing myself.. the airline shifted my flight for about 6 hours due to "airline schedule adjustments".. but this proposed new schedule doesnt work for me so i wanted a refund.. but the airline said i could only be entitled for rebooking or a travel voucher because the flight wasnt cancelled, it just changed schedule.. tried to involve the govt by filing a complaint thru them but to no avail.. the whole experience was so frustrating

Sadly, four Republican senators have already been lobbied to repeal this, and the Chamber of Commerce filed a lawsuit against it.

I think it can only apply to flights that happened after the change to the law took place. Anything lost to the past, stays in the past.
