I believe HP will be last. Wizarding World is the reason Universal is where it is today after all. Plus the Ministry Ride is the most technological attraction at the park apparently!

Even without this new park, Universal / Islands of adventure is better than Disney. Disney has done upgrades, added hotels, but the park itself is too novelty and less thrill / action.

Disney relies on people staying at their hotels and in the "Disney bubble" because they make money out of every single thing you consume. I used to book both resorts, but now I am thinking I will just take 1 or 2 days off my vacation to ride Guardians, ROTR, Rock n Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Everest and Flight of Passage. And I am staying in Universal 100%, the perks have no comparison, specially if you're staying at one of the upper end hotels.

I am a child of the 80s, I remember playing Atari, and then BOOM here comes the NES, every kid I knew wanted this console. You don't really see that these days. It was something you had to experience just how big it was at the time. I still remember when my brother and I got the NES for Christmas in 90. I was already thinking of going to Universal, but when I heard about this park, I knew I had to wait. And more importantly, I want to experience this land with my brother because it was something we bonded over.
We grew up, we have kids and money now. They knew what they were building. As much as this park would've blown our minds 20-30 years ago, our parents wouldn't have felt the same connection. They timed the creation of this park perfectly.
I'm an 80s kid too. My brother and I also got the NES for Christmas around '90. It blew our minds, but after that we switched to Sega Genesis. The appeal of Sonic was too powerful lol. It was definitely a bonding experience for us because consoles were so exciting back then, and we would save our money from doing chores, paper routes etc to buy games together. Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 are my favorite video games. The fact that there’s a theme park designed after it, makes my 5 year old and 32 year old self so hyped.
Agreed I think it's going to be a sleeper hit and better than Matio Kart. I like Mario Kart, but I think the AR and slow speed didn't live up to the potential of a Mario Kart ride.

It's basically Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters except a thousand times cooler with way more stuff going on, the chaos that unfolds very much matches the chaos of Mario Kart, and considering that the Hollywood park has been insanely successful with just that one ride, I'm clearly not the only one who thinks this!
They currently don't offer Universal Express for Bowser's Challenge in California, so I am guessing this will be the same. The pass works for every other ride in the park, except for Bowser's. You basically have to pay for early entry if you want to wait under 30 mins.

I visited Nintendo Land in California. Had a great time, and they only had the Mario Kart ride. I'm super excited about this. Something I keep thinking about, though, is the future possibilities of this area. For instance, a Luigis Mansion ride could be such an amazing expansion, one day! I can't wait for the park to open!
Just got back from Universal Hollywood and nearly cried with joy. The area is tiny there but amazing. The theming is so well done. Looking forward to Orlando!

The theming is just beyond. The story-telling is amazing. What I’m loving are the entry portal towers at each location and how they tie the whole park together!!

Epic Universe is really setting the standard. Companies like Disney better have a truly out of this world experience in the works or Universal will rightfully so become the go to for families of all ages
I went here and saying there are ganna upgrade it brings me so much joy to say this place changed everything I’ve seen about nintendos creativity the super Mario 3d world 1-1 theme brings me so much joy and happiness when I left it felt like a kid getting toys taken away this place really made me feel 5 again thanks universal for everything 😊
Okay they definitely know their target audience really well. Not just for kids in this new generation but for older generations as well that grew up with Nintendo and the games. I been to the one in Japan and it was such an unforgettable experience and would love to go back one day.

I'm glad super nintendo world is expanding. I went to the park in LA late last summer and while it was an amazing spectacle, it really did not have much to do. The Donkey Kong coaster looks amazing. I'd love to see a virtual coaster sort of like the Simpsons ride made with a Metroid or Star Fox theme someday.
There’s rumors going around that Pokemon and Zelda will eventually come to Studios and Islands of Adventure respectively. And Super Nintendo World is rumored to eventually be expanded with a Luigi’s Mansion attraction.
Not really. Or should I say, not yet. Their current offerings aren't great compared to Disney, though they've got a good edge in Florida. But Epic Universe will make them the prime destination in Florida, but ONLY Florida. Disneyland > Universal Hollywood Tokyo Disney > Universal Japan

Primarily because this is a clone of Osaka's, which was created in direct collaboration with Nintendo themselves (their main headquarters are in Kyoto, with Universal Japan being the closest major theme park to collaborate with). They stayed true to the source material because Nintendo themselves were directly involved in the creative process of developing the land, and had the final say on creative decisions.
Agreed, I'm hoping they'll eventually turn IOA's largely ignored and practically abandoned Lost Continent into Hyrule, I mean after all when it's last actual attraction, Poseidon's Fury closed last year the Lost Continent has literally nothing exciting to offer anymore except for a restaurant and a bunch of souvenir shops and snack stands, which is why I'm waiting in eager anticipation for that announcement from Universal that they're finally going to turn Lost Continent into the Legend of Zelda land of Hyrule.

What’s the best theme park in the world if it’s not this?
It’s awesome that we’re getting a separate Donkey Kong area and we got a roller coaster ride

Japan is getting dk too, both rides were designed at the same time years ago and are now being implemented
@@kamichan127 same rides and theme but my understanding is the one at epic will not be as compact because they had to work with a smaller footprint in japan. More room in Epic which I am sure they will need with all the people going there

I visited Nintendo Land in California. Had a great time, and they only had the Mario Kart ride. I'm super excited about this.
Something I keep thinking about, though, is the future possibilities of this area. For instance, a Luigis Mansion ride could be such an amazing expansion, one day!

Just got back from Universal Hollywood and nearly cried with joy. The area is tiny there but amazing. The theming is so well done.

Orlando’s Mario area is supposed to be much larger than Hollywood because of the limited space Hollywood had.
Part of me wishes i was still 10 years old, so i could plead with my mom to go here, then i would proceed to have the greatest moment of my entire childhood.

Pokémon and Zelda already seem likely for the other parks in Orlando, but I'd give anything for Splatoon to get into Epic Universe as well!

@@birdflox1337 I would also do anything for them to add a super Mario bros wonder ride like Florian’s wonder warp or something like that, a real life location of the hat shop from Mario odyssey, and punch out pizzeria to have a real life location

Universal Creative is absolutely on fire! The Universal Orlando Resort is easily one of the very best theme park experiences worldwide!
Cannot wait to see this! My kids grew up with Super Mario games. What an amazing experience it will be to have with them!

The theming is just beyond. The story-telling is amazing. What I’m loving are the entry portal towers at each location and how they tie the whole park together!!
This is a literal dream come true for me because Donkey Kong is my favorite fictional character! I’m gonna be able to experience his world!
I’m a lifelong Nintendo fan and my son has become obsessed with Mario. We were trying to find a way to afford a Japan trip to visit the Universal there to get the Mario experience. Visiting the one in California is straight up not an option. So this is a fantastic development for me and my Family.

Okay they definitely know their target audience really well.
Not just for kids in this new generation but for older generations as well that grew up with Nintendo and the games.
I been to the one in Japan and it was such an unforgettable experience and would love to go back one day.

I'm glad super nintendo world is expanding. I went to the park in LA late last summer and while it was an amazing spectacle, it really did not have much to do. The Donkey Kong coaster looks amazing. I'd love to see a virtual coaster sort of like the Simpsons ride made with a Metroid or Star Fox theme someday.

There’s rumors going around that Pokemon and Zelda will eventually come to Studios and Islands of Adventure respectively. And Super Nintendo World is rumored to eventually be expanded with a Luigi’s Mansion attraction.

Not really. Or should I say, not yet. Their current offerings aren't great compared to Disney, though they've got a good edge in Florida. But Epic Universe will make them the prime destination in Florida, but ONLY Florida.
Disneyland > Universal Hollywood
Tokyo Disney > Universal Japan
Universal may be better at movies, but Disney is better at disneyland.
But either way, im going to this place eventually, one way or another. And also, i like orlando.

You guys definitely stayed true to the source material. Not like Disney world where those idiots ruined Star Wars and disrespected the legacy.
Primarily because this is a clone of Osaka's, which was created in direct collaboration with Nintendo themselves (their main headquarters are in Kyoto, with Universal Japan being the closest major theme park to collaborate with). They stayed true to the source material because Nintendo themselves were directly involved in the creative process of developing the land, and had the final say on creative decisions.
Donkey Kong Country is going to be enough on it's own to draw people in from all over the world, almost genius to save this for Epic Universe

Agreed, I'm hoping they'll eventually turn IOA's largely ignored and practically abandoned Lost Continent into Hyrule, I mean after all when it's last actual attraction, Poseidon's Fury closed last year the Lost Continent has literally nothing exciting to offer anymore except for a restaurant and a bunch of souvenir shops and snack stands, which is why I'm waiting in eager anticipation for that announcement from Universal that they're finally going to turn Lost Continent into the Legend of Zelda land of Hyrule.

The announcement of a Donkey Kong area gets me excited for the eventual Zelda area, imagine a ride through Breath of the Wilds world where you pass a life size guardian or the gimmick is finding all the shrines spread across the park to get points.
Or you can pull out The Master Sword!!!
Also the Shiekah Towers are already the perfect size and shape for a drop tower ride, just saying
