I had that same reaction to this song back in 1970 when I was 21 years-old. It's nice to see you young people today appreciate what John (CCR) Fogerty left us.
CCR is my fav band of all time. John Fogerty is a genius- singer, songwriter, great guitarist. He wrote nearly every one of CCRs songs. He's still writing and touring today.
I was 16. I pray the younger generations never let our music go away. We knew the next song no matter who it was would be a great song. We took it for granite ! Can’t say that now. There are great vocalist for sure now but nothing like old rock. ❤️❤️
Another hit from 1969. My sister sent me a pic today of the view from her front porch in the country with a storm brewing. I told her I could see myself sitting on her front porch in a rocker listening to some Creedence Clearwater Revival. Willie and the Poor Boys is classic. So nice I watched and listened twice.
It is cool to see younger people like you getting blown away by the vast amount of just straight forward, ass kicking Rock and Roll. It was always in our lives when it came out so I guess we kind of took it for granted. It was just always there. The concerts were irreplaceable. Now THAT was a scene I really wish some of you newer people who really appreciate this kind of music could have seen for yourselves. I would love to be the time machine tour guide for that! I want to see the shows again and laugh my ass off watching your brain melt live! Ha ha! Carry on gentleman! Carry on.
I remember my dad bringing home his first CCR album. We sat in the family room for hours listening to music. Check out a song called “down on the corner” “cotton fields”
For CCR, this IS pretty much THE song. I believe it’s what they are most famous for. Even people who don’t follow CCR know this song. It’s about as American as you can get.
It's true, it's hard to find a bad song. CCR thank you. I'm happy that a whole 50 years later you guys are getting in the groove and appreciating them the way you do. Three Dog Night are a great band. You should check them out as well as more, more CCR.
I'm so impressed by your grasp of the English language. You're my favorite reactors! Just wish Patrick was given more of an opportunity to speak his piece. I know how it is to be the younger brother. I'm the youngest out of 7!
Your love of CCR tells me you guys can understand what American kids felt growing up in the 60's & 70's. How else to express it? I don't know. Creedence had an original - yet familiar American sound. Probably the blues and the folk heard everywhere that was starting to mingle into the - then new -rock n' roll sound. There is a documentary, "Travelin Band" narrated by Jeff Bridges of CCR's first European tour in 1970. The film culminates with their entire concert at The Royal Albert Hall. It's so good...!!
Awesome reaction guys, you'll love Who'll Stop The Rain by them as well, different song from Have You Ever Seen The Rain. Also Run Through The Jungle is great as well.
You want longer sets? Here's an idea. You make a theme called Three Songs. You ask viewers to list three songs that are the same kind of music (favorite three songs), in the comment section. Then you pick one set of three, and play all three in one reaction video. You can talk about the genre, how they fit together or just which one was coolest. Etc. That way you get a sound vibe that lasts longer, more like a Pink Floyd song goes on and lasts. For example, you could have "What's three favorite Metal songs? What's three favorite "New Wave" songs? What's three favorite Stevie Wonder songs. Etc. (Ok, if that's too long, make it be called Two Songs.)
Sounds like a plan to me. Ooh you know what else they can do, or the commentators? Daisy Chain; 2 or 3 songs that are weirdly or oddly linked together. A female DJ in the 70s, Annie Nightingale, used to do a Sunday show with a Daisy Chain section in it. It was fascinating, the minutia of what some people knew. Every week the last song would then become the first song in the chain the following week, and would have to be connected to whatever it was the listeners came up with. I seem to be over complicating this idea; am I really high or is this making any sense? :)
What a coincidence - I was listening to this particular song a wee while ago, on UA-cam! It's a fab song as all CCR songs are - really like it, what a riff!! Other great CCR songs are Bad Moon Rising, Proud Mary and Green River. Definitely worth checking out, guys, as I know you love this band! They have so many great songs! Such a fab band, they left us a superb legacy of music. Thanks so much for the reaction, guys, really enjoyed it as I always do. Never get tired of CCR songs!
Guys, if you haven’t reacted to their best rendition of “I put a spell on you”, we are all missing out. Imo their best track ever. Oh yeah, Live Version.
You guys should check out the extended version of Heard it Through the Grapevine.. It's about 3 minutes longer than the one you did a little while back..
Love CCR, I was able to go see John in Buenos Aires with my parents, one of the best of my life! **Please react to Janis Joplin, Ball and Chain, live un Monterrey. And Summertime, live too!!
I was 8 in 1969, my dad playing this cassette tape (the only one he had with him) as the 4 of us drove to Florida on vacation, no Air conditioning in those days 10 or more hours in the car, though there were times I wanted to beat my brother I learned to love CCR.
I've probably listened to this song ten thousand times, and it can _still_ make the hair on my arms stand up. Check out "Bootleg (Alternate Take)", "Walk on the Water", "Penthouse Pauper", "Pagan Baby", "Ramble Tamble", or their two very different versions of "Before You Accuse Me", one of which was on the Cosmo's Factory album, and the other was included as a bonus on the 40th anniversary release of their debut album.
i totally agree with you bros CCR is one of greatest bands of all time!!! yes CCR is great road tripping music for sure!!! throw in some SKYNYRD and some outlaw country man you can cruise for days on the open road for sure!!!!! good job bros!!!a great deep track from CCR is Penthouse Pauper!!!
Steven, I downloaded this song yesterday and I can't stop playing it - the instrumental in the middle is to die for - I reckon this is one of CCR's best songs. I had never heard of it before - I wish I had done - it came out in 1970!
John Fogerty has a voice like no other.
If you ever visit Louisiana and take a bayou tour, listen to this at the same time. It’s a perfect match.
It's almost impossible to believe that they are from The Bay Area and not from The South!
For our Georgia friends, that is the Bay Area of California.
Right down the street from my high school. If a band was a soundtrack to my highschool days, besides the Beatles, these guys were right up there.
This is what's great about America. Everyone brings something different to the table and it's all great!
It’s time to do Midnight Special, Proud Mary, Green River, Suzie Q
And "I Put a Spell on You" too!
Green River!
También lo pienso!!
Susie Q ❤️✨🎶✨🎶
The guitar reverb in Midnight special, is pure magic.
I had that same reaction to this song back in 1970 when I was 21 years-old. It's nice to see you young people today appreciate what John (CCR) Fogerty left us.
“I Put a Spell On You” ♥️🎸🎶♥️
My favourite band. Keep.up the great work brothers. You are awesome.listening to legendary music
This song makes me want to go visit my Family back in Louisiana!!❤❤❤
they are from Oakland calif
You are right. They don't have a bad song. More importantly, they have dozens of GREAT songs. They are a legendary band.
CCR is my fav band of all time. John Fogerty is a genius- singer, songwriter, great guitarist. He wrote nearly every one of CCRs songs. He's still writing and touring today.
I used to volunteer to do extra chores around the house to earn the right to stay up late on Friday night to watch The Midnight Special!!
I was 17 years old when this song was released in 1969. It just seems like yesterday
Me, too. This was our anthem at the Colorado River (AZ) for spring break.
I was 16. I pray the younger generations never let our music go away. We knew the next song no matter who it was would be a great song. We took it for granite ! Can’t say that now. There are great vocalist for sure now but nothing like old rock. ❤️❤️
This tune is thick. Thick as the air in the bayou in the middle of the summer. It exudes swamp.
For your next CCR try Run Through the Jungle.
My mother was born on a bayou in Arkansas. The sound of the river boats seem to inspire the music is some sense....😘
So many great CCR songs!
Sweet Hitchhiker
Long as I Can See the Light
Travelin Band
Hey Tonight
Someday Never Comes
CCR's song Green River has a similar vibe. Hope you get to that one too soon.
I always loved the way they snuck the cowbell in halfway through the song. Cowbell is like wah. You can never have too much.
“ I put a spell on you” is a MUST !
Hi there, they've already did a reaction to I Put a Spell on You, back in December. Hope you can find it - cheers.
"I Put a Spell on You" live....life changing! Guaranteed, will be your new favorite
This song is a total vibe 🤩 no matter where you're from , when you hear this , you feel like you're from the bayou
Hey bros,
👉👉"Down On The Corner"👈👈 one of CCRs best!!!!
You can't go wrong with CCR. Love this song. Susie Q, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, etc. Thanks Bro's.
Thanks Lis :)

I love his voice. It sounds like he's gargling razor blades

Green River is another great one and if you want to check out some of his solo hits start with The Old Man Down The Road
That's the sound of America right in your ear. CCR are crazy badass!
Rocking the camo shirts! Great reaction guys. A legendary band and great song!
For CCR, this IS pretty much THE song. I believe it’s what they are most famous for. Even people who don’t follow CCR know this song. It’s about as American as you can get.
The number one rock band in America at the end of the 1960s!!
This was the flip side of "Proud Mary" on the 45 single.
it's fun to see these young Europeans reacting to an old iconic intensely American song.
You are right, no bad CCR songs..just great rock n roll...highly recommend "Put A Candle In The Window"
Long as I can see the Light, you mean......
It's true, it's hard to find a bad song. CCR thank you. I'm happy that a whole 50 years later you guys are getting in the groove and appreciating them the way you do. Three Dog Night are a great band. You should check them out as well as more, more CCR.
Three dog night pleeeeeeaaaaassseeee. " Elias coming" is a good one.
Swamp music and CCR could do it the best, even though they were from California lol. Thanks for the reaction.
I'm so impressed by your grasp of the English language. You're my favorite reactors! Just wish Patrick was given more of an opportunity to speak his piece. I know how it is to be the younger brother. I'm the youngest out of 7!
I agree. Let Patrick speak more. You always interrupt him so he just stops talking...
That guitar tone is magical and the voice!
Brrrrr, I can feel gators all over me!! Yay CCR you get me every time!!! George, Patrick, great shirts and great reaction.🎶🎶🎵
1969 CCR brings the song and the discos all over the world play this smash hit- thanks BroAction all time from Germany!

This and Fortunate Son are my favorites. Impossible to choose one between them.
Green River, Run Through the Jungle, Sweet Hitchhiker... this band had sooo many great songs 🤘🏽
@@BradCross1982 I HEARD IT THROUGH THE GRAPEVINE , NIGHT TIME IS A RIGHT TIME 👍👍I Put A Spell On You
CCR just makes you happy.
A true treasure and what they left us is more than enough. Glad you guys enjoy them!
CCR - Long as I can see the light 😉
I can picture myself sitting on my front porch swing, spitting tobacco and drinking Jack Daniels. This is my kind of music.
"Spitting tobacco..." eeYEW!!!!
Awesome reaction guys, you'll love Who'll Stop The Rain by them as well, different song from Have You Ever Seen The Rain. Also Run Through The Jungle is great as well.

Oh yeah here we go bros!!! Talk about a no-nonsense kick ass rock n roll tune. some southern rock!!
What a coincidence - I was listening to this particular song a wee while ago, on UA-cam! It's a fab song as all CCR songs are - really like it, what a riff!! Never too much CCR!! Another great reaction, guys! A real fun one is “Hey Tonight”!
Green River by them is also a cool song you should check out
Guys, if you haven’t reacted to their best rendition of “I put a spell on you”, we are all missing out.
Imo their best track ever.
Oh yeah, Live Version.
You guys should check out the extended version of Heard it Through the Grapevine.. It's about 3 minutes longer than the one you did a little while back..
CCR is an incredible delight and so are you two! I really enjoy watching your reactions, thank you :)
Some of their music was in Forrest Gump based on the Vietnam War.
Growing up with CCR, I have memories. Their sound is so unique.
CCR one of my top 5 bands. John Fogerty one of my top 6 vocalists 🤘🏽
Can feel the swamp.
Great song for sure!
John Fogerty in the 80s had some hits too. Look into "The Old Man Down the Road" and "Centerfield"
Ugh, not centerfield. This is not how a baseball player talks. Maybe football..
Awesome song especially when the 2nd verse starts and the cowbell comes in
How can you not be in a great mood listening to this! ❤✌
I know you guys love guitars and "amazing transitions" so I recommend Blue Oyster Cult..."Don't Fear The Reaper"...you'll thank me!!!🤘🎧🎤🎸💜🎶🎼🎵
Love CCR, I was able to go see John in Buenos Aires with my parents, one of the best of my life!
**Please react to Janis Joplin, Ball and Chain, live un Monterrey.
And Summertime, live too!!
Love the reaction to this old great song, if not the shirts :-)
If.
I could listen to this on a loop!! All day long
CCR does some SERIOUS jammin! 🔥
"Fortunate Son" & "Bad Moon Rising"⁉️
More cowbell 😂😂 keep the best music alive guys. Please 🙏🎵 old classic rock must never die. I grew up on the best. Oh to be young again. 😞
Thanks guys for a great reaction to a great song. Been waiting for this one!! My favorite CCR song!!!
Agreed. One of the best bands ever.
You’re right...they were all great songs...great reaction guys 🖖🏻🇨🇦🥰💥
Amazing song, amazing reaction. Thanks.
First acid trip October 1969 - listening to this album over and over and over and over
CCR HAS ALWAYS BEEN BEAUTIFUL😘
I was 8 in 1969, my dad playing this cassette tape (the only one he had with him) as the 4 of us drove to Florida on vacation, no Air conditioning in those days 10 or more hours in the car, though there were times I wanted to beat my brother I learned to love CCR.
My Dad was actually Born On The Bayou. In a little old white house right on Bayou Liberty in Southeast Louisiana in 1917.
The brother on the right has the best groove. CCR is a vibe
Sound track of my teenage years!!! Fire!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Being born on the bayou myself......It's certified bayou. If he'd said Rougarou it would have been perfect!
Golden Earring, Radar love. PLEASE😊
I spent a lot of time mellowing out with CCR.
Blessings from America rock and roll!
That’s a lotta cowbell in that song. But you’re gonna want that cowbell, baby.
This is my first album back in 1969 , still have it to this day. You need to listen to Lodi, soft more mellow song.
i totally agree with you bros CCR is one of greatest bands of all time!!! yes CCR is great road tripping music for sure!!! throw in some SKYNYRD and some outlaw country man you can cruise for days on the open road for sure!!!!! good job bros!!!a great deep track from CCR is Penthouse Pauper!!!
CCR is THE best driving music for sure!
First album I bought with my first wage in January 1970 was Cosmos Factory by CCR!
Super reaction, guys!
Im telling you guys SWEET HITCHHIKER by CCR is a BANGER!!! React to it
Ahhh...Swamp Rock makes me sweat! hahaha Definitely a fave. Thanks Guys.
CCR so good. Great reaction.😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Great reaction to a great song!!
One of my favorite CCR songs
It’s time to dip your toes into the gem that is “Ramble Tamble.”
Steven, I downloaded this song yesterday and I can't stop playing it - the instrumental in the middle is to die for - I reckon this is one of CCR's best songs. I had never heard of it before - I wish I had done - it came out in 1970!
Lots of great tune from them...!
