This is hands down the BEST cymbal demo video that I've ever seen. INCREDIBLE explanation of products and the playing was so so so good! Well done. I love Sweetwater! You guys truly go above and beyond.
The hat sound is what caught my attention, I'm about to buy my first non zildjian cymbals.lol. those hats are dope, only prob is they're Benny Greb endorsed. I can't stand Benny greb.
I like the sound of the hats, too. Been a Zildjian new beat fan for the longest time, then switched to Paiste a couple years ago, but I’d take those sand hats any day.
These arent meant to be cleaned. If you want to clean the brilliant finish area on the other side, cymbal companies sell polish. Don’t clean the top or the raw area though. That will remove the finish.
I can't comment on the full boxed set, but I have the bigger 22" ride from this line and I love it. I use it in a very eclectic pop and soul cover band that gigs a lot (generally 5-8 gigs a month...), and I was kind of afraid the washy-ness of the ride might be overbearing but it's not at all. The warm overtones of the cymbal really serve to sort of "bind" the sound together, and it just smooths everything out. I had been using a much more staccato K Zildjian ride, but I really prefer the more washy Sand Ride now. I use it in a very hard rock band as well, and for very low volume piano blues, with brushes...it's really good for everything. I've had it less than a year, and my only concern is it's durability. I work a lot and I hope it lasts. So far, no complaints. Highly recommended.
@@SagaContinu Very well. It’s the only ride I used for about 5 years. I now also use a Zildjian K traditional 20” that is pretty washy too, but a higher note. But I still love the 22” Sand Ride, and would recommend it. Low earthy note.
@@SagaContinu I played it all over this record. Lots of different levels of volume, super loud to very quiet and subtle. ua-cam.com/video/Cpq6bZbGw-0/v-deo.html
UFIP Vibra series cymbals check them out you can play anything with them they sound like zildjian k's mixed with Paiste signature's there frickin awesome!
Hi +Christian Hernandez Meza! This kit is a custom built DW kit made for our recording studio. Awesome sizes and incredible sound! Thanks for watching.
alandanielw I’m guessing mic placement brought out a lot of click, and heavy gating probably enhanced it. Not sure if that’s what you were referring to. I used to own a DW Collector. The kick was all punch, little character.

Check out Steve Gadd playing the KCons for the Memphis Drum Shop and talk to me later.
Nick, you always give it 110% Blessings!!!
I have the sand hats. If you can’t get anything else from this set you must get those hats. My favorite cymbals I have ever owned!
True! I'm a Paiste guy, but I'll admit, the Sand Hats are so good!
The hat sound is what caught my attention, I'm about to buy my first non zildjian cymbals.lol. those hats are dope, only prob is they're Benny Greb endorsed. I can't stand Benny greb.
@@chrisscott6417 what's wrong with benny greb?
I like the sound of the hats, too. Been a Zildjian new beat fan for the longest time, then switched to Paiste a couple years ago, but I’d take those sand hats any day.
Nick you are the best drummer in the world. Nothing left to say.
+aledrum81 Κοψε κατι......!!!
Is verry good but but i dont know if he are the best
I have the same IKEA rug! Those hi hats are beautiful.
Another great video by Nick....and a a great haircut too.
One of my Favorite Cymbals from Meinl
If only Nick could do a video of the Meinl Classics Custom Triple Bonus Cymbal Box Set
god they need to make a china for the vintage line
Carmine Daidone Equilibrium China
I’ve got a 27 inch meinl prototype China. It’s really thin. - It’s sounds like an axe murder every time I hit it.
Can you post on how (or what to use) to clean Meinl’s sand series?
I can recommend the Meinl Cymbal Cleaner.
overall cleaning the Finish on top can be quite tricky but the Cymbal Cleaner works pretty good

Have the 18"Crash and all it's awesomeness 🔥🔥🔥
One of your better reviews NIck. ;)

How did the cymbal hold up? Thinking of buying the 22" crash ride...

@@butuh13 just to make sure - is that the 22" crash ride with rivets or the straight 22" ride?
@@SagaContinu No rivets. 22” ride.

The Byzance series sounds kinda like the Zildian K hybrid line. Which came first I wonder...
Love them.
The part he was playing at 9:20 felt like something that would have been at home on a new opeth album.
whats the kit thats played here?
Its a custom ordered DW Kit for Sweetwater‘s recording studios.
They got a whole video on it just look it up
Is the ride considered a crash too?
No, however it can deffinatly be hit like a crash and it sounds fantastic!
No. But you can use it like a Crash-Ride.
Which series is that kit from? Sounds incredible!
I think it's Sweetwater's custom DW Collector's Series Cherry/gum wood kit. It has its own video
HEY !!! you forgot about Paiste's B8
He explained these cymbals better than Benny Greb himself
If Jon Lovitz had a drummer brother it would be Nick
i like this set but i also like the zildjian k set i play stuff from rock to funk what would you recommend
Ben Corfield
The old Zildjian K's were good, but the new Meinl's are more musical and overall better than the new machine-hammered Zildjian K's

What kit is this?
Hi +Christian Hernandez Meza! This kit is a custom built DW kit made for our recording studio. Awesome sizes and incredible sound! Thanks for watching.
.
What are the sizes
+Braden Cutright-Head they have a video that explains the kit, look up dw custom sweetwater and it should be one of the first videos.
what is the bass drum, details please ?
These box sets never get a discount. Put them on sale and I’ll place the order today!
Bruh box sets are already a discount compared to buying cymbals individually.
Rajiv Rath Thanks, that’s really helpful. As usual, the critics and cynics offer me absolutely nothing.
Nick! Why are you triggering your bass drum, and funkifying bennys symbols? Just kidding, but what is going on with that bass drum sound?
alandanielw I’m guessing mic placement brought out a lot of click, and heavy gating probably enhanced it. Not sure if that’s what you were referring to. I used to own a DW Collector. The kick was all punch, little character.
