Fjallraven Kanken is the way to go! They are durable, small, but hold quite a bit of stuff. They have stores in Germany.

Hey Katie, you can probably consider the Longchamp tote bag. I've been using this bag during my internship plus it's great and large space can put your laptop in it!
I am so excited to hear you talk about random german things, I often wonder what to call things like „brötchen“ in english!
Also re work bags: kapten and son make beautiful smart backpacks!
I would recommend Kapten & Son backpacks ( German company) as they are perfect for work. Cute & flunctional.

You should look into Away backpacks! Super durable and comfortable. It’s so sleek and professional looking. I’ll never go back to using a tote bag. Btw, Away ships to Germany!

Just a tip for anyone else! if your hair tools are dual voltage and the voltage is compatible with ones in Germany you’ll be fine using them! Just google for more information on how to check them. I went to Ireland (I’m Canadian) and used my hair straightener and had no problems using my adapter.
It used to be more of a problem back when the tools were more commonly single voltage
Yes! My GHD has worked all across the world, just need to make sure you have the right adapters.
B Pal Ya! I have a GHD too. I’ve had it for at least 6 years. It was the first time i took it abroad last year and it worked like a charm

I would recommend Matt and Nat. They make beautiful vegan leather bags and backpacks. I recently got a backpack and I love it :)

Vera Bradley has all kinds of work bags/backpacks in both fabric and leather and tons of prints/sizes!
The Calpak Kaya backpack is super cute and functional for work! I don't believe the actual Calpak website ships internationally, but they do sell them on Nordstrom (who does ship internationally).

I like the "Matt & Nat" vegan backpacks!! They look very stylish & professional. I have a Longchamp bag:tote but I find if you put a lot of things in it or a laptop it can feel really heavy & hurt your shoulder. Although the newer models have a long sling strap that might be better for long walks/commutes. Great video!!💕💕💕

Dear Katie, don't worry too much about your make-up. Less is more in Germany.
Your boyfriend will love you with a natural look as well. You will also see that most German women tend to a more natural look.
Granola = Müsli in German (from the Swiss Müesli). It has become a very traditional German breakfast (or at least part of it).
If you have a Globetrotter store in your area they will have backpacks, both for work as well as for hiking.
Otherwise Northface, or Fjallraven Kanken, or even a Jack Wolfskin backpack is ok. Unless you have to represent your company in business meetings while carrying that bag/backpack/carryall those will be totally fine. Obviously if representing is necessary then look around for a professional business outfitter.

Do you plan on learning German and eventually moving there completely?
I’m in the process of learning German right now and moving depends on where I go to grad school (if I go to grad school!) but I could definitely see myself living here at some point!

I’m really curious about the public transportation in Germany as I might be moving to either Hamburg or Düsseldorf this year. Do you think you could kinda describe it or make a vlog showing how it works?

for sure I can definitely talk more about the public transportation in an upcoming video!! and the internship is until end of june and after that I may go to grad school or start a full time job, but rn I’m leaning towards grad school!

Try Deuter or Vaude. Good for your back if you are always on the go.
Not very cute though :( I use a deuter giga for going to uni as it absolutely saves my back but for internships etc I prefer something that looks less like I'd go on a hiking trip
