In my city in Canada we have a day every Autumn to give things away to students as we are a University city. You can put anything out out, furniture, dishes etc that will help out of province or local students. I think it’s wonderful.

One of my sons lived in San Francisco for about five years and he had many great finds but the best was an Eames chair that needed a little fix. He took it to be repaired and was immediately offered $3000. He kept the chair and it is beautiful.🇨🇦🇨🇦

I think that kitchen trolley would look gorgeous painted in a dark colour with the tiled top re-grouted with a matching dark colour grout, or fitted with a chunky wooden block type top? Excellent find!

Good idea for the embroidery hoop -if you find a particularly nice remnant of fabric -or even wall paper for unusual wall art-just fix between the rings and trim up the back x

The amaryillis - just sit it on the soil, roots actually in soil, most of bulb out of it. Needs support obviously! Smashing find. We lived in Portugal and its common to just put items beside bins for folk to take! Enjoy your finds!

Love the stuff! Here in Berlin we have free boxes all over many neighborhoods. I found a great teardrop-shape midcentury modern mirror last year, and also found a classic, working 1960s electric coffee grinder several years ago. People also leave huge wardrobes and sofas, but of course you need a van to move them and most people don't just happen to be passing with such modes of transport. I know a guy who upcycles old chairs he finds on the street, and he picks them up with his cargo bike.

Hello Iwan, ooh lots of free finds! Free is my fave price of all! I think lockdown opened up people's eyes with clearing out and began to put stuff out for free as they had no other way of getting rid of stuff. I had a sort out last year and put loads out, that most of it went. I live in a smalll village in Somerset and it seems to be a thing here too now! Metal poles by the way, Homebase or B&Q for future reference. That poor Amaryllis, it will have a new lease of life now and will reward you with a beautiful flower in no time I'm sure. There's that massive hoop again! I love that, be useful too if you were painting or drawing something on a tee shirt too! Think that metal plate is mostlikely pewter, That kitchen table/island thing will look great once given some TLC, a rub down and a wax or paint be great I think, that was a great find. Thanks for this Vloggy was most interesting, one mans rubbish has always been another mans treasure! Have a good week to come x

Great coasters--You can probably sand off the metallic trim but if you like it (I do), you can fix the chips with metal leaf and size., or even change the color to gold or silver. The metal plate might be Wilton Armetale, a company which made a lot of decorative pewter pieces in the 70s and 80s. Lots of great finds, Mr. C!

In my city in Canada we have “free give away weekend” in May and in September. People pile their unwanted items at the curb. I have gotten some great things for myself and my classroom. Last year I found a huge bag of DVDs. Sold them in batches. Made $100. Also found a bag of golf clubs last fall. Sold one club so far for $40. It’s just a fun thing to do. 🥰🇨🇦

Hi Mr. C! How interesting to see what you can find in other peoples dumpsters. Just goes to show ones trash is other peoples treasure right? Have you watched some dumpster diving videos in the U.S.? It's absolutely mind boggling what they find in the dumpsters of some pretty popular stores. Most are brand new, unused, not opened, &/or not even expired yet if it's food. Here in our neighborhood we have junk collection day once a month where folks put unwanted items outside their homes for collection. You definitely could grab things that catch your eye if you can beat the dump truck getting it. Thanks for sharing. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 😊❄☃️

Love the plate, I would put the larger white pillar candles on that. The round embroidery thingy I used once in a property that I rented, there was a round peice of glass just stuck to the wall, made a surround for it using some artificial flowers, looked great and another loop I had I made into a big round photo frame to make a collage x

Good morning! Love your finds, it’s great when you get something for free. I once picked up an enamel jug that had seen better days and I painted a lovely design on it, now it has dried grasses in and looks fab! I think the embroidery hoop was a really useful find. Perhaps stretch a cloth over and it could house a collage of photos 🤔 love your channel 😊👋🏻🇬🇧x

I have a cart, like the one you found except, the top is wood not tile. I use it to keep my microwave on , which gives me more counter top space. I love it. You found some really nice items.Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎

Great finds, my favourite was the kitchen trolley, looking forward to seeing how it turns out once painted.

Some great finds Iwan! We have several neighbours that put out items for free and we have started doing it too. The Amaryllis needs to stay indoors. That little trolley will look great with a make over and that plate would look lovely with three different sized candles on it. Car boots are starting up our way soon. If you ever fancy a trip up to Colchester let me know. We have a huge car boot up here! Plus a few antique centres. Much love, Soph.x

Hello, I think maybe the little white lidded cloud shaped container could be for soaking dentures.
