They went 7 games against a Pacers team led by Oladipo, a Raptors team who become toothless in the playoffs, and a Boston team led by a Rookie and 2nd year player to 7 games. The nail in the coffin was when he only got two in Miami out of 4 years with a super team... you can give him the benefit of the doubt for that first year (building team chemistry) but failing to threepeat when MJ has two threepeats ... another way to put it is if you replace Bron with prime MJ on those teams they would probably win all 4 but at the very least 3 I mean MJ won 6 with only one other all-star Bron had two all star teammates and Wade was already a champion

    Lebron alone was not beating that 2017 Golden State Warriors which included KD! You guys are tripping. Basketball is a team sport. Clearly the GSW had the better team. Even the 2014 Spurs were a great team. They swept everyone on their way to the finals except the Miami Heat. MJ won NOTHING without Pippen and was good despite. I used to watch MJ team members shooting as if they can't miss, while LBJ team mates constantly shot bricks when it mattered (perfect example the episode in game one of the 2018 finals with the missed free throw and JR Smith which cost them a win). All the losses LBJ received in all his Finals, had his TEAM MATES been consistent, the narrative today would have been, "His team mates carried him!" Damn if you do and damn if you don't! 🤷‍♂

    I owe someone a MAJOR apology. I got into it with a friend's brother on Facebook about a week ago regarding Michael Jordan and Lebron James. I mentioned how he was still able to get the Lakers to the playoffs at his age even though they couldn't advance out of the first round and that Jordan couldn't do that with Wizards. I also mentioned stuff about how he got to more NBA Finals than almost anyone in the history of the NBA though he could only win 4 of them. He then tore apart my arguments of him reaching those Finals and how truly poorly he did in most of them. I grew up in the Jordan era and got to see Jordan play so not saying that Jordan isn't the GOAT, but I thought with Lebron getting to 10 championships and at least winning 4 of them, he deserved to be in the top 5.
    Now after watching videos and highlights of his career, I can see how WRONG I was. I have NEVER seen someone throw so many hissy fits when things didn't go his way and he wouldn't get back on defence because of it and a lot of times that would cause the other team to score! WTH?! The fact that he also mentally checked out of that Finals game proved right there that he can never be the GOAT. Jordan would've never done that and would've fought hard to the bitter end.

    I used to consider Grant Hill smart, because he is so well spoken.
    This from him is a silly stupid take, to say one half can tell you something about a player's greatness, in his 15th season.
    Does he remember Bron picked up three fouls in the 3rd quarter, and that gave him 5 on the game? One away from an ejection?
    All of his drives can be called a charge, if he took that risk, he could be out and then the Cavs would have zero chance. The Cavs shot .345 from the field and just .680 from the line, even including Bron's .538 from the field and .831 from the line.
    I remember the GOAT who had put up 49 points and then 63 points (averaging 56 ppg), who, finally back at home to avoid the sweep, scored just 19 points. Dropping his series average by 13 ppg in just one game. He had plenty of other weak playoff performances as well.
    We do not judge GOAT candidates by their worst moments (they ALL had failures), but by their sum total of peak achievements. Bron has plenty of those, too.

  • @MrSlashblade

    Just anybody ever take the whole picture, this was a guy who round after round, game after game, minute after minute was putting up Herculean efforts. The margin between LeBron and the next best cav the entire 2018 was a canyon.
    You can’t even say a guy like Kobe or Jordan wouldn’t give up because they’d never be in the position. It was a bad second half, but to dismiss him from the goat debate because he isn’t superhuman meanwhile people will excuse Jordan 19 point foul out in only the third game of the series of the 1986 Celtics by saying but he put up 63.
    Just felt no matter the outcome even beating the warriors you’d still convince yourself it’s not enough. Because I don’t know how anybody has that poor of judgment.

      This is foolishness. He's not in the GOAT debate, primarily because of his abysmal Final Record. Can't be the best, if you can't BEAT the best. No, he hasn't been enough - Multiple Times. Don't even need to get into all the other problems. The Finals Record is enough.

    • @MrSlashblade
      @MrSlashblade Місяць тому +2

      @@TheRealMusic4Life no it hasn’t. You might be too young to know this, but Finals Record was never a prerequisite to being great. No one says Hondo is the greatest Celtic forward because he had an 8-0 record while Bird only had a paltry 3-2 record. People considered Dr J at one point a top 5 player, and in the NBA he had a horrid 1-3 record in the finals. In 2007 nobody had ever claim that Duncan could be in conversations for the GOAT because he was at the time 4-0, and even when San Antonio had Miami on the ropes not a single word was uttered about Duncan being potentially 5-0. Even now while having a 5-1 record (3-0 in the 2000) many people still consider the 2000 Kobe’s era despite being 5-2 (4-2 in the 2000 with one fmvp). It’s always funny when at the moment of years like 2015, 2017, and 2018, after the final buzzer people just look at LeBron in awe and recognize he was the best player in the series, and even try to get him to win fmvp, only for a couple of days to go by and just say he lost as if he was the worst player. LeBron is there when it matter the most, he just goes against greater teams. This isn’t a comic book, you don’t win against all odds. Jordan didn’t even win unless the odds were in his favor

    • @TheRealMusic4Life
      @TheRealMusic4Life Місяць тому +2

      @MrSlashblade no son. Championships do matter. There are players with MORE than Jordan, and we still consider Jordan the best, because of the way that he did it, and the way his accolades were just so stacked in different categories. So you guys need to stop these pages and pages of excuses for Lebron - it doesn't change anything. A player CANNOT, repeat CANNOT BE the "goat" with a losing Finals record. And I think you're too young to understand what manipulating stats looks like. It's been a big part of Lebrons career, and its deception.

    • @MrSlashblade
      @MrSlashblade Місяць тому +2

      @@TheRealMusic4Life you just contradicted yourself again, championship matter to the point Jordan with a 5 ring deficit to Bill can be made up but LeBron with a 2 ring deficit isn’t a conversation? You are making an excuse. LeBron literally has better overall finals number, from a 2015-2018 finals runs jordan has no stretch of finals even close to that. Both from them at their best to just overall LeBron beats Jordan. It’s just that Jordan’s inferior numbers are able to get by because he’s only gone against at most 2 HoFers. Just LeBron in his first finals performance he saw 3, potentially 4 if they ever give Bowens the nod. Jordan is right time right place because watching both of them Jordan easily had to do less and produced less. Making excuses for Jordan is what you wanna be old heads do

    • @TheRealMusic4Life
      @TheRealMusic4Life Місяць тому +2

      @MrSlashblade I never contradicted myself. You also obviously missed the point where I said WHY we consider MJ goat even though there are players with more rings - it's because of THE WAY HE DID IT. His skill set amd donination of the league as a 2 guard, plus being a great defender, ultimately the most COMPLETE player ever. Ya'll can cry about it and stand on cumulative stats all day (that manipulation I mentioned), but Lebron is not the better player. Also not 2nd best. And while rings is not the ONLY consideration, a player certainly CANNOT have a losing Finals Record and be considered goat. It's foolishness. Ya'll can fight it all you want. It's just stupid and it's a lie.

    • @la_nomercy

      @@TheRealMusic4Life The GREAT MJ actually did do that… 5 times! One of them was in the NBA Finals (41.0ppg vs Phoenix Suns 1992-93 season).
      As for the others…
      -43.7 ppg vs Boston Celtics 1985-86
