Yea the USCG doesn't get enough credit. They save a TON of lives.
But they still can't process my Merchant Mariner credentials on time
I’ll be going off for my basic July 23! Very excited and very proud!
@@tatersncorn you ain't priority
@@HyperstimaddictGood luck!
USCG FOREVER
My late father spent 30 years in the US Coast Guard.. it’s an amazing thing they do
We almost lost 2 legends in 3 days
Glad you’re ok Presidente
Imagine being alone, lost at sea, and then a teenager shows up asking to make a tiktok with you.
Wild times
Captain Dave, we need your man card back toooo-day.
At least until you get back to shore, then you’ll need it for your amazing pizza reviews!
A three hour tour. We're glad you're safe, Captain.
Thanks, Captain Dave, for recognizing our small, but "Alway Ready" service. Glad you are safe. Regards, Ronald W. Northrup, Lieutenant Commander, U.S. Coast Guard (Retired). 👍😊🇺🇸 #SemperParatus
Thank you for your service! ❤
🇺🇸
It takes a real man to admit something like this publicly well done great lesson God bless
“can I make a TikTok with you”. Unfrickinbelievable. 😂😂😂
Other than getting lost at sea, you're living every man's dreams Dave. You're my hero.
Damn we nearly lost two Presidents in a span of 48 hours. Glad your good bud 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Retired from CG after 22 years. The seas were angry that day, CAPT Dave!

What and where were you over your career?
@@frankrizzo5594 Not sure what you mean by what? Florida, New York, Virginia, Washington, New Jersey, PR

Captain Dave has been demoted to swabbie Dave. 😄
Deckhand Dave!
You’re way past rambling. You started to sound like Biden.
Everybody knows the rules
Sometimes lessons are learned the hard way. Glad those lessons weren't too hard today and glad you are safe.
I'm glad you're safe Captain Dave🙏🏻... How's Miss Peaches?
I'm sure he'll answer, give Scott a moment.
@@jdawg9137 It was worth a try lol
You got this capt'n! Just take this lesson to heart and be prepared! Conquering fear is a huge part of being a sailor.
Hey bud, seen your hammering skills leave the important stuff to... anyone else😂😂😂 glad your safe all jokes aside.
When I was in my 20s I went on a boat with a bunch of friends on Canyon Lake. My fiancé at the time jumped into the water and seconds later a huge wind pushed our pontoon boat. She started panicking so I decided to be a hero and swim over to her to help her get back to the boat. Well, as soon as I got close to her she latched on to me for dear life and wouldn't let go. I didn't have a life vest, none of us did so she almost drowned me. We finally managed to get back on the boat but I had never been so exhausted in my entire life. I was seconds away from drowning. To this day I will never get on a boat. And if anyone is reading this: do NOT get on a boat unless you and everyone on board puts on a life vest.
Instructions unclear, now I am the new god of the sea.

So many words. Nooooo
Captain Dave lives to see another day! 😃👍🏻
Ha. This tale was right up there with The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.
Captain Dave… aka Gilligan! One flare.. everybody knows the rules! Glad you are safe!
God Bless the USCCG! They never get credit. Glad they saved you from possibly having a soccer ball as your new best friend!
I couldn’t stop laughing 🤣 oh Captain my Captain and the sea was angry. just kept stacking the references.
Yeah, as someone who grew up around the ocean, learned to sail at a young age(those dinky little sailboats not real ones), and who routinely goes 2-4 hours(or even 6-8hrs on rare occasions) on shark and wreck dives, people just don't realize how bad shit can go, and _really_ fast.
What gets me is the simple, (seemingly)obvious stuff like just bringing enough water/drinks(and food) for your day at sea, or sunscreen, having a fire extinguisher, or even just being a decent swimmer(you'd be shocked at how often on shark dives, which are at the surface of 200-300ft of water where I go(New England/New York), there will be people free diving(i.e. with no SCUBA gear, which is how most of us choose to roll), having no clue whatsoever about the current, how much the wind is pushing the boat, knowing how to properly swim with fins, etc., and just get stuck only like 40-50ft from the boat, because they're exhausted and can't keep swimming against the current/wind. Or worse, they start getting those cramps in their feet/toes/calves(again, because they haven't drank enough water, and don't know how to use their fins properly, so they overexert themselves.) Worse still, they don't even know how to just _float._
So then someone has to go help them, which is very dangerous to do(especially if you're also free diving) while the captain gets the boat running to go after him, and/or we can get the guy a life jacket or life line. The worst part is, they're wearing a wet suit(usually 7mm around here) that would make them float, if only they could stop panicking(or listen to what we're saying to him) long enough to realize that all they need to do to stay at the surface is drop their weight belt.
Okay, I'm rambling, I'll stop now.
USCG reporting that this could be the first time in its long storied history that they responded to a distress flair from inside a harbor. Well done Capt Dave😂😂😂
Dave is not going in the boat again. 100% I would bet anything. Dave is the type of guy that’s needs control over what’s happening, nobody has control at sea.
Black Bart Farms here in Cali wishes you the best Captain Dave. We’ll help you mellow out
I am glad Capt Dave is safe or Ms Peaches would be orphan. Thanks to the Coast Guard!
From one dave to another, the dave society is very grateful we didn't lose you, brother
Just sit right back
And you'll hear a tale.....
USCG is top notch! Glad you made it brother.
Scary! So glad you are still with us! Be careful! You’re helping the world be a better place for humans, pizza and doggies!
Captain Dave, I too almost lost it on my kayak. Scary stuff, wasn't wearing a life vest in 30 mph winds on a lake. Thrown around like a rag doll and barely made it to an island. Learn from and get back out there.
Coast guard saved my life too, mad respect for them. Glad you're okay Cap!
This would’ve never happened had Miss Peaches 🛥 been in charge! 😎🇺🇸✌️
Glad you're safe, Captain Dave/El Prez. A big shout out thank you to the Coast Guard.
Captain Dave. A real man admits when they are wrong. Everybody knows the rules.
Glad you are safe. World is better with you in it.
Thanks you are safe!! Thanks to US Coast Guards! And stay safe!1
Buy an EPIRB which is an emergency beacon that sends a location signal that is constantly monitored by the coast guard. You can get one for under $300 that fits in your pocket and you can even send texts from some of them.
This was not an EPIRB worthy situation.
Please elaborate. I keep one on me at all times at sea. @@philtheheaterguy951
Captain Dave's fish sticks are the best!
Dave get what I term in my own life “adult supervision” and enjoy your boat 🛥️
captain Dave boat traumatized, he says taking a bath gives him ptsd
My dad retired out of the Navy. He use to always says...People don't respect water.........
Glad you’re safe, Dave!
Smart man having flares on board. I spent 4 years in the CG rescuing people with NO life saving equipment. One time we rescued 4 POV's after 2 days of searching and they wanted to know why we didn't find them sooner, I asked to see their flares and radio-Guess what, they didn't have any.
Thank you for the rowing girl, she is your guardian angel.
🤣 “Captain Dave may never go on the boat again”
The sea will make a fine sailor out of you yet… get back to the helm! Glad you’re safe 🙏
Steamboats haha, where you lost in 1898?
1898 > 2024
Glad you made it back alive Cptn. DAVE
The ocean is not something to mess around with and find out that’s for sure!
Sounds to me like if Captain Dave isn’t going to take time to learn more about his vessel he may want to look into some sort of EPIRB
But I’m glad everyone is safe.. good job Captain Dave
Damn I'm glad you're okay
Captain Dave just needs more experience. Thanks to the USCG!
Glad you're ok Dave! The show 'i shouldnt be alive' is wild. You had a different kind of bubble trouble out there 👍
We lost 3 lives in Green Bay this weekend. Young father and two very young kids. They found their sail boat but not them yet. Unfortunate..
WTF did I just watch?
Captain Dave almost got lost at sea.
Did u have the audio on? What are u confused about bud? 😂
This was Captain Scott ranting on and on about something...
Lol, you’re the man Captain Dave!
As A Coastie your welcome,I was on kodiak Island 2 times but hey, grew up there ,and flew in H52,H3,C-130,Falcon,and HH65 dolphins, and then civil service working on the rebuild of aircraft in elizabeth city nc.
Funny video. All is well that ends well, Captain Dave!
We need you Captain Dave, glad you’re okay!
Gotta get back up...brush yourself off...and get back at it again! More of a valuable lesson learned! Same way you got to where you are at...Captain Dave.
thank god capn daves still here man
In one month Captain Dave beats the big C, then the Atlantic Ocean…
That is some UA-cam gold right there folks…. 😂😂😂
God Bless the USCG and Capt Dave
“Ahoy I’m a sailor, I sail”… “what about Dave” the remake of what about Bob… see if Richard Dryfuss busy! Almost lost 2 prez this week!
that's a real quick way to learn an important lesson.
Glad you okay. Thank GOD for hero’s
Glad your OK Dave!
God was Watching over you my Friend!🙏
You must not be lost! What about the lovely Miss Peaches? Is Miss Peaches in your Will? Who gets custody?
Glad you’re safe, Dave!!!!
Glad you're alive, Pres !
I was always told that the two best days for a boat owner… the day you buy a boat and the day you sell the boat.
Water is a lovely yet Terrifying place. Be careful Dave!!!
Captain Dave how about Gilligan 😂. Thanks for the Laugh
If Cap'n Dave never goes in the boat again, we have indeed lost Cap'n Dave
Capt. Dave! You need to always have a fully charged starlink satellite phone, in a waterproof floatable sealed bag as a secondary backup! Because you can always lose power. But we live and we learn. Glad to see you alright! Hopefully I'll make it and see you at UFC 306 at the sphere in Vegas.
Really Dave! You were in the Harbor? Lol! Alright man! You got me on that one. I was wondering how a women in a paddle boat saved you being all the way out in the ocean. Question Dave? If your on the other side of a 12 ft. Pool! Do you call that being close to the abyss? Lol!
Glad you're okay.
Being on a desert island with only your mother would suck.
I’ll be leaving for my basic July 23rd! Very excited! 🇺🇸
Only Captain Dave could have told such a harrowing experience into pure entertainment at his expense…
I had the same thing happen to me out on Harrison Lake in BC however I was in the middle of nowhere days of paddling from civilization lol. Thank god another boat a few hours later comes by to save us and tow us back to safety. Boating is scary stuff and you think you have everything under control till it dies lol.
So glad you are safe! I could not take another travesty this week.
I am glad you’re ok “Pres”. The world would not be the same without you”AATW!”
'Merica is back on track
@@wrxzboost “ HOOAH, Merica”
We’re glad you’re ok.
Some men are meant to stay on land captain DAVE! 😂💨🌊
You're a survivor Prez!
You can’t give up!!! I was just a little tike 5 years old and my dad had health issues and told me I had to get us back to the dock on a flat bottom boat because we were fishing. I ended up pumping the gas line and pull starting the boat motor and got us back to the docks and found out my dad was having a stroke!!!! I yelled at the other 2:10 2:10 boaters on the dock and they helped me get the boat to the side of the dock. 5 YEARS OLD!!!! I was still boating until a couple years ago when my cancer got worse and I’ve been stuck a few times on the river but never untie until you start your boat. MY POINT IS DONT GIVE UP! ITS TOO FUN AND RELAXING. PLUS CAITLIN DIDNT GIVE UP WHEN SHE FIRST GOT TO THE WNBA BE ASSULTED AND TAUNTED! I DONT PICTURE YOU AS A QUITER.
Cap'm Dave got himself a life lesson.
Glad your okay
Only a true seafaring man can admit when he's been defeated by "Mother Ocean."
Miss Peaches will give Captain Dave a stern talking too!!!
Glad you are OK El Prez
Seas are rough for captain Dave. First the hammer fiasco, then the dog escapes and now, captain Dave gets lost at sea. Oh my oh my oh.
Oh Captain, my captain
Thank God you are ok brotha!! 😮🙏🙏🙏🙏
EGO CHECK HAHA
If you get spooked, stay away. It's like the mother ocean can sense your fear.
Glad you’re safe captain Dave
