  • This one starts the story of my second knee replacement. It's 8 weeks after replacement and this one is quite different than the other one done earlier this year.

Hang in there, GFM! I agree that those painkillers are something to be wary of, but they are there for a reason and this is it. Keep healing, look forward to 2024!

Glad to hear that you're done with the surgeries and improving. I hope it continues and keeps getting better.
Thank you for your help with heating and cooling. You have helped me for many years.
Update: I did as I said on the hydrogen video, kept the oil furnace and when I started it about November 1 it lit perfectly and has done so when I've used it since then. Still not using it at night (kinda gunshy) but keeping plenty warm. Thank God it has been very mild in southern Michigan. Warmest Dec on record.
Problem now is a partially(?) blocked vent on the tank. Working on that.
Again, thank you for helping people.

It's hard to know how fast to go. Too slow and you can't move it. Too fast and yours damage.

@@grayfurnaceman go too slow then .. easier to work it out and increase mobility after it is healed !! And a lot less painful !! But if you damage it before it heals your screwed !! Patients !! It’s a virtue you know !

Hello. If you believe in the power of prayer, command your knees to be whole, without pain, and fully restored without surgical scars and scar tissue. I hope your recovery is fast.

Well, so far it has cost me nothing except for the insurance payments.

I think you're getting to antsy and over-doing it too soon, instead of walking climbing and working on it to increase range of motion and exercise it, try moving it around when laying in bed or sitting in chair, flex and move it around, even standing in place on other leg while holding on a counter, move it through a full range, even tense the muscles to exercise them and ligaments.
never had knee replacement, but a broken femur and lots of torn muscle and internals slowed me right down. the doctor was shouting at me for not exercising it enough and having limited range of motion, even after saying it hurts extremely bad and I could just tell it wasn't ready. I simply started moving it around more and flexing it in bed until it loosened up and gained full motion back.
I got a double whammy, as I broke left femur and fractured right foot in the same motorcycle wreck, wheelchair for a good while and help to do anything, then soft cast on right leg and walker, finally on to crutches. that was 28 years ago and it still bugs me, especially when the barometric pressure changes. but I couldn't jump up and move it through the full motion they wanted, when they wanted, it took nearly a full month more to recover, granted I had large muscular legs, skinny, fit and young. I believe the leg is either a bit shorter or longer now and it throws my hips and back off at times, some weather changes are killer. not doing bad for a 45Mph to zero stop though.

IMO you're pushing too hard (ladder...really?🤦‍♂ ) and just need to take the pain meds. At our age, the stuff will not do the damage it would to a young buck. Pro tip; Switch to a high fat diet for a while (as well as taking your stool softener Rx and plenty of fluids) and constipation won't be a problem. Wishing you rapid healing and a happy new year !

Is it true that it's too painful to be on your knees after these heal?
Did the doctors use titanium or the new composite build?
