The earlier 3800 F bodies used a dbc throttle, I'd imagine that the cable and bracket would pretty much directly swap into the dbc ones. I have no idea when they made the change from dbc to dbw though
Edit- a little reading to satisfy my own curiosity indicates that the 3.8 was dbc through 98, and changed to dbw for 99-02
Good thinking, I'll have to check my local junkyard to see if they have one.
I have a 98 bird. And actually pulled my dbc to switch up to dbw from a 99 up. I know I'm backwards

I love the fact that you are getting rid of the Drive by Wire crap and going Cable. Most guys go to Drive by wire as a "upgrade" . Also I wish I had the skills you have to make parts like that! Or at least the tools to play and learn with lol...

Why not cut an o ring groove in your adapter instead of a gasket?
I probably should do that, but I don't know if I trust my mill to cut good enough groove. I'll have to try it out on some scrap material.
