@@narcoticman7310 brutalism usually refers to architecture, it's a very raw, expressive style, strong geometry, simple materials, etc. I'm mostly saying in comparison to brutalism this is peak design, and this build definitely encapsulates the pure, raw feeling I get from reading the manga. It's a beast weapon lol

the only beings/creatures in this world that could be considered dragons are dinosaurs , but unfortunately however they're extinct . so there's no dragon to test it on

Whenever i imagined someone making a legit uncompromised Dragon Slayer, I thought for sure it have had more mechanization, like hydraulic lifts and arms and whatnot. Have to respect you did by yourself in your shop.

This belongs in a museum somewhere, not only is this a master piece in my eyes of how faithful a recreation it is from the manga, but the pure skill it took to machine thing this shows that you are a masterclass legendary metal worker. Absolutely hats off to you man and amazing work. Truly.
I made anvils using similar methods with play ranging from 2-4" thick ..... it was a real bear wrestling that stuff with nothing but a torch and the minimal milling equipment I had at the time. You did a wonderful job and it's been fun watching.
This is unreal man, I have much respect for you, you’re the only person on this earth who pulled this off perfectly, you truly are dedicated and talented, never gave up after you faced a lot of challenges during this project. Congratulations man.
I watched all 10 parts, and I learned a lot about machining from it! I doubt I'll ever fabricate something this hardcore, but I'm excited to reference your build for my own cosplay build. Kudos!

Now that is HEAVY. There were some really heavy swords in medieval europe up to about 20 kg but no where near as heavy as yours. And the swords were not really used in war either, they were training swords. You'd swing them at a log all today everyday. The idea was when you get your real sword it would feel so light you'd be able hit your foe so hard you'd puncture their armor.
I know this isn’t usually your thing, but the single shot cannon arm Guts wields would be cool to see. I always thought it was the coolest thing in manga when he opened a fight with a cannon blast and then charged in with the dragon slayer.

If you really think about it, the original blank started at 516lb and the finished sword was 324lb. That's enough for probably 50 swords or more!
