No compromises the hands down best dragonslayer ever built
Its probably 99% accurate.
My simple eyes could say it IS the Dragonslayer. Perfect in every sense.
It's not the best Dragonslayer ever made, it's the ONLY Dragonslayer ever made!
@@El_Andruthe missing 1% in accuracy is that the sword is never depicted in Berserk as being flawless and brand new.
if you have like an hour to waste, Michaelcthulhu did a build with all hand tools, pretty sick too.
@@SDurkee He's my original inspiration
"It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron."
Once you see it made in real life, you can truly see that this literally cannot be called a sword for all those reasons lol
Original comment….
The funny thing about that description is I once heard that it's so thick it would be better described as a bladed club, so by definition it is literally too big to be called a sword
Yeah yeah, how original.
I like how poeple just finds a way to be mad because it's "original", that's why he/she puts quotation marks dumbass.
And every word on every language is not invented by you poeple, that makes you quite of a hypocrite.
This belongs in a gallery, a museum, this deserves to be treated as well as any magnificent work of art. It’s gorgeous, this is peak brutalism. You did it justice
Museum my ass! Find someone who can wield it properly and give it to him to kill apostles.
Pfftt... What again 😂
Brutalism?
more like a challenge for all berserk lovers like us... who ever lifts the sword like normal gets to keep it
@@narcoticman7310 brutalism usually refers to architecture, it's a very raw, expressive style, strong geometry, simple materials, etc. I'm mostly saying in comparison to brutalism this is peak design, and this build definitely encapsulates the pure, raw feeling I get from reading the manga. It's a beast weapon lol
love how it wasnt forged, but just grinded from a heap of raw iron
It was too big to be called a sword
ground
I mean that literally is what dragon slayer is, it’s just a slab of iron with slanted edges 😂
What type of forge you gonna use to build this, a industrial furnace
@@restitutororbis964massive, thick, and heavy, and far too rough.
Wow that’s big. The pommel itself has as much metal as some complete swords have
I think the handle and pommel together were 16lbs!
Most swords only weigh a few pounds
@@PrettyHateMachining So, individually bigger than any normal sword
@@kevgmeibigger than any sword used in combat, ever. The heaviest being 14lbs
Guts’ sword can slay over 100 men because 100 swords can’t break his
I feel like this should be part of an event at a strongman competition, see if anyone can actually swing the thing.
You'd need thor bjornesson
and I doubt even he could swing it
That would be very entertaining to watch the strongest men in the world fail to do anything with it
I don’t think it’s possible to swing by a strong man. Maybe hold up by the handle? Swinging too dangerous.
@@thorwannabe6810 feel like eddie hall could do it lol
@@StoriesOfASaytr If we're talking a 'pull over your shoulder and let the weight do the work' chop where the shoulder acts as a pivot point, I suspect a few strongmen could do it. Now, I don't know if they could manage to make it over the shoulder to drop edge first though.
the efforts needed to make this sword are inhuman. huge respect
the ones to grab it are inhuman too
@@RaktylGuts is human
The one who made it, is not even human
@@Z3MileskyYour must be a fun person.
@@Raktyl The ones that touch the other end of the blade are often inhuman as well
Guts would be honored to wield such a weapon and Miura would be honored to have this made real. Congrats man, you've crossed the threshold into extraordinary
that moment when it's actually easier to swing somebody at the sword
Thank you for giving everyone in the Berserk community working knowledge of just how BIG, HEAVY, and ROUGH the Dragonslayer actually is. Mad props to your metalworking skill and dedication.
You forgot to add the clip where you cut an horse in half with it!
Crap, knew I forgot something
@@PrettyHateMachining It is better to try the sword against an apostle
@@Braian9887 yea, but they're a rarity now-a-day, it would cost too much resources finding one
Months of work, but it was worth it. Best part is that you made it from an actual big ass slab of metal, its no joke that if someone could wield this, they would be capable of killing a dragon.
Eddie Hall would totally collab and try to wield it jsjs
he can't hold it by its handle because it's not full tang. it only has a couple of inches of threading, it'll bend if you try to pick it up by the handle
@@thai33oz Honestly, I don't think that thick ass rod of steel bending would be the bottleneck here.
@@thai33oz it doesn't bend, it's already been picked up by the handle as a test
@@PrettyHateMachining oh really? sorry for assuming then. what did you use to pick it up from the handle?
the only beings/creatures in this world that could be considered dragons are dinosaurs , but unfortunately however they're extinct . so there's no dragon to test it on
I had the pleasure of following your whole building process, the final result really is one of a kind
When you think about the fact that there's probably enough metal shavings and scrap pieces to make a whole other regular sword xD, Outstanding work sir
If you really think about it, the original blank started at 516lb and the finished sword was 324lb. That's enough for probably 50 swords or more!
@@PrettyHateMachining Hmm.. ya know, the berserker armor weighs around 60-80 pounds 👀👀 XD just sayin lol
@@TheSlaker99 Helllllllllll no lol
@@PrettyHateMachining how much is that in kg?
@@TerenceChiII 494 bananas, I think
One of the greatest feats by man was to create such a beast. The greatest still is to find a beast to wield it.
Future cyborg. Callin' it
Me
Wieldy or not, this must be the most intimidating melee weapon ever made. Kouji Mori & Miura’s apprentices need to see this.
I've been following this process for months, at some point i really thought you would leave the project, but you never did, and instead you built the best recreation on internet. This is an amazing work
This needs way more likes. That's literally a real Dragonslayer.
I remember searching for someone making a replica of it on reddit, then I saw your journey of creating the real thing, amazing how it turned out and how much work went into it
This is by far the most insane display of sword craftsmanship on youtube. I feel like there was a single part of this blade that was made conventionally. It seemed like you had to come up with unique techniques for everything
That's what makes it "fun"!
They should pay you to have this masterpiece in the museum under badass hunks of metal
This needs to be part of a strong man comp!!
This is nothing but pure unadulterated perfection
Too badass!!! You're a master in your craft.
Awesome Adam!!! I'm still kicking the blanks around for Buster and Hardedge and you build this sucker!!!
You truly did the sword justice. this will forever be the best recreation of the dragonslayer.
That is beyond impressive! I can't imagine the insane work and dedication this takes. Very great job!
Now that IS a heap of Iron… Respect is due.
And to think Guts can carry this sword in one hand, I watched the entire build series, it took a lot of work and time and a few mishaps but that's the essence of struggle, super cool
I hope you'll be in the Guinness World Record for this.
I don’t even think the mountain could wield this beast of a sword
Definitely couldn’t
Absolutely not🤣
The Mountain is a wuss compared to Guts
This is hands down the best recreation of the sword. This is what Effort and Dedication looks like.
Insane. Some people have made more realistic versions but you went all-in and made my favorite yet.
bro what do you mean. That’s the heaviest one that I saw on youtube
Very impressive. I know it's not physically viable but i would love to see a person swinging that thing.
This is incredible I'm in awe man
Only real ones watched every video to see the process. So many hurdles jumped. Still in the end, perfection!
my brain wont let me believe this is real lol. awesome work dude👑
You are a real blacksmith now. I pray for your future successes
Very very cool. Truly the dragon slayer
Amazing. You made it accurately. You realize that someday they will dig this up and wonder what giants we had to wield such a weapon. This will last hundreds of years. Even if left to rot in some cave.
My man, what an amazing journey it has been, mad respect!
Truly, this is the modern Excalibur. If a man be strong enough to lift and use, he be king.
This belongs in a museum somewhere, not only is this a master piece in my eyes of how faithful a recreation it is from the manga, but the pure skill it took to machine thing this shows that you are a masterclass legendary metal worker. Absolutely hats off to you man and amazing work. Truly.
😍😍
Whenever i imagined someone making a legit uncompromised Dragon Slayer, I thought for sure it have had more mechanization, like hydraulic lifts and arms and whatnot. Have to respect you did by yourself in your shop.
that is absolute amazing looking. the dragonslayer is such an awesome sword
I wish you can put that dragon slayer blade close to the Kentaro Miura grave in japan. I’m sure he will be happy and proud 😊 .
That would be the perfect tribute to the man
@@Cormano980 I'm sure kentaro muira in heaven will be looking at him and smiling and saying thank you.
You have guts level determination, I've been following this since the start
Someone will stumble upon this in a thousand years and ask if Giants lived among us? All I can say is yes, they did.
that is if the berserk series would be over at that time.
when you first started i didnt really think it was possible to replicate the sword but you did it damn near perfectly
Thank you for your efforts , let us see the Dragonslayer in reality , respect !
I love every second of the series up until the very end. It was so amazing to see all the effort pay off in the end
This was the coolest process to follow, truly a beautiful piece of art
Such a badass time lapse video!. Everyone should go check out the actual build videos to see what it really took to build this monster!.
been following since the second build video was more a lesson on machining than sword making truly a joy to see the final product good job man
I know this isn’t usually your thing, but the single shot cannon arm Guts wields would be cool to see. I always thought it was the coolest thing in manga when he opened a fight with a cannon blast and then charged in with the dragon slayer.
Fucking love it. A weapon worthy of Guts, would be respected by the blacksmith Godo himself, and did sensei Miura proud. Amazing job man. The video goes fucking hard to.
Followed you this whole time, absolutely amazing and worth it!!! As the comments say, best dragonslayer ever build, not even close.
Mad respect man, what a piece to have in your collection.
Was here from the beginning and wow. Just how much time and effort it took is astounding. Great job!
Bro that's awesome, it's soo faithful to the original that only Guts could possibly wield it.
God, if there was ever something I wanted to swing, it would be this sword. But then again the sheer weight is insane. So better to just admire from a distance!
I think Kentaro Miura would be glad to see your creation! Great job!
Best Dragonslayer I've ever seen, amazing work!
Thank you! 😊
Amazing, I've seen many vids make the sword from carboard or wood, but this is the first time I've seen someone use actual metal. I have to watch this whole thing, because that is a work of art.
Finally someone did it the right way. Amazing work.
That was insane! Kudos on deadlifting the mf as well, you a strong man
This is a MAGNIFICENT MASTERPIECE, YOU HAVE ALL MY RESPECTS 👏👏👏‼️‼️‼️ now we just need to find who can use it
I made anvils using similar methods with play ranging from 2-4" thick ..... it was a real bear wrestling that stuff with nothing but a torch and the minimal milling equipment I had at the time. You did a wonderful job and it's been fun watching.
this was an awesome series!!!!
That is the Sickest weapon that I have ever seen in Manga. I love what you did to making that heavy sword feel like an actual weapon made from actual steel, which I have to say is awesome! 🤘😎
A magnificent thing from fantasy and imagination, brought to reality. What a sight to behold, I'm happy to have seen each step in the making of something so freaking awesome
Rad, this has been fun to watch. Maybe you could find one of those creators who've built an exosuit and challenge them to wield it...
Fantastic effort, keep it up 🤙🏼
I watched all 10 parts, and I learned a lot about machining from it! I doubt I'll ever fabricate something this hardcore, but I'm excited to reference your build for my own cosplay build. Kudos!
😍😍
Work of art achieved through absolute dedication. Respect.
that last pic with you holding the dragonslayer is so coldddd 🥶
insanely talented, came out perfectly ! Incredible attention to detail !
Now just imagine getting hit full force with that fucking thing
It would likely split you in half from the force alone.
Ladys and gentlemans, the first Dragonslayer in the world.
beautiful work bro, Miura would be proud.
your blood/sweat/tears and hard work paid off!!
Kentaro Miura would be quite amazed if he saw this (RIP)
Great edit of an absolutely insane project. Been following it since the first video 👍
This man really needs more recongnition
super underrated
Hope this beautiful video goes viral. You deserve it. Can't wait for more content!
This is the most accurate Dragon Slayer in real life I've ever seen.
Kentaro Miura would be impressed and probably awed at your dedication to accuracy if he was still around. It was a great build and you should be proud.
All the more impressive that the Master Smith built and forged it by hand in a year…
What makes this the absolute PEAK of all Dragonslayers made is that it is actually made like it was in the manga. not some fancy bunch of complex bullshit, Just a sharpened slab of metal and a handle. Truly beautiful to see a quite literal "manga-accurate dragonslayer"
The absolute best thing you've ever made.
Thank you!
Masterful craftsmanship. Godot would be proud.
Absolutely amazing!! This has been an awesome journey 💜
The sword is simply beautiful! And your work on creating it has made it even more amazing!
man's need to be in the pantheon for real !
I've been watching the series in the shadows from the beginning truly amazing.
It was very fun and exciting experience to follow every step of this project. You are incredible and your work is amazing. Looking forward to your new projects 👍🏻
"It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron."
I loved following the process of creating this behemoth. Truly amazing!
Absolutely the most accurate dragon slayer ever made
Will never get enough of this masterpiece! Outstanding and more than deserving of a format of this nature.
You deserve way more subscribers for all that work you put in your swords man
That's very nice of you to say, thank you.
Imagine the destruction that could do if someone could actually swing that like guts does.
crazy how Godo did this without machinery
A legendary blacksmith to be remembered for ages. Incredible!
this is the best video ive seen this whole month
