    RE-TWIST TECHNIQUE
I focus on the perimeter and the part area, which are the areas readily seen in the various style I wear this hair in. I put my hair into a ponytail and begin in the front at the part. I did two rows along each side of my main part and a couple twists from two rows at the back of the part, one row going across the front, two rows going up from my temples, one row along my ears and went two rows up in the back.
I take my time and unravel the twists by unrolling it with my fingers until there's a space large enough for my finger to fit into then I pull out to the ends. I do this a few times on the twist going up about an inch or two each time. I try not to go up too far because if I transferred hair at any point while twisting, I don’t want to pull in it to quickly and cause tangling, in my hair or the twisting hair.
Once I get to the top of the twisting hair, it easily slides out of my natural hair. I get my rat tail comb and carefully begin taking out the braid at the base. Really take your time with this step, you don’t want to accidentally rip out your hair by trying to undo too much of the plait at one time. Feel free to use a detangling conditioner during this step if your hair needs a little help unravelling and detangling. Once the plait in undone, I little comb through the hair to remove any shedded hair.
Now to re-install the twist I go in with the Magic Fingers Shine-N-Jam to prep and smooth hair. And I begin plaiting my hair. I pass the strands of hair about 9 times, then I combine and split the rest of my hair into two sections. I take the twisting hair and align the middle of it with the base of the plait and begin rolling each side of the twisting hair with my hair. Once attached, I continue twisting the hair to the end.
To curl, I wrap 3-4 twists around 1 rod. I start wrapping right underneath where my natural hair ends on the twist. Next, I dip them in hot water. I use a towel to squeeze out the excess water and the take the rods out after they cool. As I take the rods out, I separate the twists. I set the style with mousse and then tie it down.
Because I have a scalp condition, having the extension constantly touching my scalp can be a bit irritating, so I love this install method because it keeps the extension hair off of my scalp and I can still achieve a seamless and natural blend. I usually keep this style in for no longer than two months and do at least one wash and re-twist at the halfway mark.

Totally gorgeousssssss, thank you for sharing so much info. Your mini twist series is exactly what I was looking for! I’m gearing up to flexing this style. I wanted to ask you if you find that this is a good style for retaining length in your experience so far? How are your ends doing after takedown? Thanks in advance x

These are the kind of comments I live for!!! Thank youuuuuu! I'm so glad the series helped!!! This style is great for retaining length. Because of my scalp condition, I moisturize and oil my scalp/hair almost daily with this style, so my ends are fine after takedown! Hope this info helps!!

Yay! The retention and resting my hair from manipulation is what I’m after. Also the wearability xxx
