I'm sure glad you had fun with your family. Always looking forward to your videos. Can't wait Nothing in the world better than having your own tire mounting machine and balancer.
Yea Pete , I would not trust those old tyres either . Best to do away with them . Thanks for the catch-up video, good to see what you are up to . The backhoe is coming along nicely, On the paint I think a good clean and buff up would be the way to go . Scott 🌵
Hi Scott, thanks for the input. Based on your recommendation (and on my laziness!! Ha ha!), I've decided that a quick 'cut 'n polish' will be all she gets! Back when I was a struggling apprentice, I probably would've just moved the old tyres to the back and run them out. These days I think a new tyre is way cheaper than all the panel damage caused by a potential 'blow-out'. You're a wise man, Scott!! :-)
@@pete-mate3524 Maybe a little wise , But still kinda cheap ! The tyres on my own Toyota Venza that are 3 years old and have done about 53000k have gotten very noisy . Tread are very good , but they sound like they are of cement on the road ,🤷🏼♂ Even though it hardly ever rains here . they are awful in the wet . They are a Dunlop Grandtrek PT-20 , a dreadful tyre in my opinion . New tyres are expensive , I'll just see how long I can handle the noise . Have a good week mate . 🌵
Thanks Mr Dirtmover! And welcome aboard!! I'm trying to find some free time to check out your video's. At a glance, it looks like you've got some pretty cool vid's, there! Thanks again. :-)
hey Pete if your balancer puts weights 90 deg from each other the machine needs calibrating mate ,,,, easy to do you just need the 60 gram weights I have to do mine every 6 months or so with big tyres Rob Nowra NSW
Thanks Rob. I finally got the information today on how to operate (Yes, I've just been guessing up until now!) and calibrate the machine. So that will be an upcoming job. Another thing to look forward to!! Ha ha! :-) Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
@@pete-mate3524 I use a 14 inch safety spare as my calibration wheel , make sure you have the 60 gram weight handy , the instructions are crap mate , if you get stuck message buddy
Hi Keith, yep that's a 4BT Cummins in the backhoe. I believe Case had some kind of deal with Cummins for a few years where they used 'B series' engines in a lot of their ag and construction equipment.

Thanks Brian. There is an amazing sense of satisfaction in being able to do these things myself. ......and it's way cheaper, too!! :-)
