    I got this tint in clear on my 95 impala and I paid $600 for all of the windows including the windshield. Makes a big difference, car is alot cooler even when it's 100 degrees outside.

      I'm getting it on my '21 Forester next week but subarus have those sensors in the front and I'm afraid the windshield tint might affect the operation even if it's clear tint.

      @@jeffghant4760 *The crystaline tint didn't affect the daytime running sensor eye on the windshield of my impala. Headlights still turn on at night and off in the day as usual.*

    I just had it (Crystalline) put on just my windshield 2 days ago. It's still "settling in" nicely. So I love the look. On the downside, it reflects the dashboard a little more than stock, but just buy polarized sunglasses, problem solved😎, even without this tint that trick works on stock windshields.
    Listen people save your eyes and get this tint. Your going to keep buying expensive sunglasses to save your eyes regardless and you'll always forget your sunglasses somewhere. Besides, you'll never lose or sit on your windshield!😆. Night driving it really cuts the glare. I have CR-50 tint it's fine for night.
    It should take a couple weeks to settle in they said (water in between the tint and glass has to evaporate).
    I had the windshield done for $100. In Panama City Florida (Tint Station). 5 stars! Side and back done with 3M Black Chrome $340 so $440 with windshield. Black Chrome is not good for all color cars (my preference) because it has like a slight green tint during the day (this is because of the factory tintings, the more green in your factory tint the more it shows) So it's kind of futuristic look and how and where the sun is plays on it also. I was told the chrome reflects the sun/heat. I hate the look of just plain legal black tint it's about as decrative as your black wall tires! Everyone loves it. My silver Sonata looks great!
    Charcoal, green, brown dark green cars would look especially awesome with Black chrome, because of the green on your factory glass is enhansed and will match your car color.
    This mirror tint was illegal but in 2001 they took out 50 percent of the "mirror" and now it's legal in Florida. Check your state.
    I'm getting this for my daughter's car windshield only, she has script eye glasses and never wears eye protection.

      they mustve given you the wrong film lol. its impossible to look out ceramic tints with polarized glasses. youll see a rainbow hologram reflecting back on you. looks like an acid trip or car oil mixing with a water puddle in a parking lot...

    3M's statement "Maintains Vehicles Original Appearance" means it DOESN'T change the appearance. Presenter is trying to say the "shading" improves appearance "100%". Lol, these are contradictory claims. The whole idea is the ceramic film gives UV and IR rejection without dark tinting, so your car looks "original" and you don't get stopped for tint. More importantly, it doesn't block as much visible light, so your vision is not degraded. If you you think dark windows are "badass", this is not your tint.

    I have a new VW Tiguan and I was wondering if 3M Ceramic IR15 is a good option for all sides and back? Does it offer good visibility for driving at night?

    Curious, what would be the outcome if you put a dual layer of Crystalline (CR40) film? Would it cut the BTU to almost zero?

      Yes but it would look like shit. It would be basically translucent.

      It's not really dark. Privacy tint is like 5% limo. This stuff it pretty transparent because it blocks IR light as its main goal.

    I had my truck tinted out with 5% 3m tint. It does a great job block that heat but when in direct sunlight it’s very cloudy looking. Is that normal

    • @p2o8wer
      @p2o8wer 6 років тому

      SIDA I’ve been getting my windows tinted since I was kid. I’m asking a question to “3M” not any of you. I already know how tint works and the drying time not curing time. The problem is is it’s still very cloudy and has a blue hue to the film. My installer doesn’t have to explain anything to me. I know already. 3m said they had bad film go out and have been getting a lot of calls about t staying cloudy. Thanks for your opinion tho.

    Dont be fooled as long as its dark black its gonna heat up.i learnt that the hard way living in a tropical country.i use chrome tint with metal in and i see and feel the difference as the mirroired tint reflects the light. 3M lumar etc dont work for me.

    my 3M Crystalline is already falling apart it is so weak and poor quality. Its already have small pieces coming off just from the small weak suction cups from my winsdscreen sun shield that I used on all my other cars with other window tints with no problem. Very disappointed with the cracks forming in the 3M crystalline windscreen tint.

    • @JT-ld5kh
      @JT-ld5kh Рік тому

      Yea, 3M is known for making post-it-notes and sh!t. They just have millions to spend on marketing. Go with a company KNOWN for making tint. Global, llumar, Madico, maybe Xpel. 3M is garbage for what they charge. It delaminates within 5-6 years and a lot of tint shops are going to realize they should have just stayed with the brand they used to use.

    There only way this is valid is if you compare apples to apples. Ceramic to Ceramic, dyed to dyed..

    I wish you can do the demonstration for a longer time few seconds ain't nothing, I bet you if you leave on for at least 10 min that number will be way off, so unless you show a more convincing proof , I rather pay way less for the same results.
