Hope you enjoyed this dopamince concept from Anna Lembke and how it relates to breaks! ⭕ This is 1 of the 30 challenges we do inside the 30-Day Executor. If you want to start 2025 with laser-focus, and build on that foundation for the rest of the year, you can join before it closes Friday 10th January midnight CET: cutt.ly/7e0Jegiz
As well as the right breaks, I find alternating between cognitive & physical tasks throughout the day helps a lot.E.g 1-2 hrs of cognitive work then a break, then 1-2 hrs of physical tasks then a break and repeat till end of day and as the day goes on, you choose tasks that are less intensive. Helps a lot with energy and burnout.
The actual problem here is the tackling of external hyper-stimuli which instantly rewards us for not doing much work such as social media. Doing the above is actually a pretty decent break! so good job on having it :)

What activities keep you occupied during boring breaks?
When I realised the breaks are themselves distracting me, I started doing wim hof breathing in between of long hours of study or programming.
Hello! I've got a question for thee 😊: would snacking on some fruit or daydreaming count as a "boring break"?
The actual problem here is the tackling of external hyper-stimuli which instantly rewards us for not doing much work such as social media. Doing the above is actually a pretty decent break! so good job on having it :)

@@OutperformMP it's a joke regarding abs, meaning the anti lock brake system found in most cars. They are so much safer than cars without them
