Keep in mind, too, that Chakas would have had no personal knowledge of those vessels, as the Battle of Charum Hakkor took place approximately 11,000 years before he was born, and the last of them were supposedly scuttled on the wolf-faced moon by Yprin Yprikushma around that time. Therefore, Lightbulb wouldn't have had a frame of reference for the mystery ship's design, even before he partitioned off his memory.
We know humanity has been on Zeta Halo since 2555, in the novels, though, and seemingly have not found ancient humans? unless they kept some VERY big secrets...
It would be really cool of the Zeta human civilization did exist and set up a secret empire outside the known parts of the galaxy and due to learning from their geas ans perhaps reverse-engineering Forerunner tech from the ruins and facilities they left absolutely everywhere, they would advance and recognize their previous history with the Forerunners and thus when the Created are repowering all the Forerunner police brutality machines (Guardians), they would recognize their ancestral enemy and commit forces to stop them for the freedom of life in the galaxy
I'm sure there are plenty, but in short, the Mantle of Responsibility is a philosophical concept and, well, an actual responsibility that states the holder species is responsible for a number of duties, among them being: - Safeguarding biodiversity; - Maintaining order and *relative* peace in the galaxy; - Ensuring evolutionary independence of various species among other things. However, there's a catch: much of what the Forerunners believed about the Mantle was fictitious, having been created by them after their war with the Precursors. What, if any, actual precepts of the Mantle remained intact had been likely rewritten to fit the Forerunners' agenda and their superiority complex. The Librarian even expressed doubts as to the validity of the Mantle numerous times, and to The Didact no less.
I know this is an oldish video at this point, but I just now saw it. I love the theory, it's pretty good. I think in the Greg bear trilogy tho, the humans on a halo couldn't advance very far because of the lack of real resources on the halos. I think it's just dirt and rocks to the base of the halo, and not all that much depth either I think. I don't think they would've been able to advance unless they got off the halo in some manner, maybe by teleporting using the halo's grid perhaps?
The first thing I through of when you said that campfires were indicative of a 'primitive culture' was "yeah, that sounds right; the marines are likely heating up their MREs"
1:23 I think that they *did* develop effective countermeasures and the flood had to retreat or be destroyed. with its psychological malevolence it would never admit such when it could lie and cause more fear and suffering
When 343 Guilty Spark was a monitor he no longer had the memories of being a human. And Chakas was the result of the forerunner devolving the humans, so he had absolutely no personal experience of ancient human spacecraft. /video...
It makes sense that the librarian would leave the future of the mantle on just one planet. A rogue space rock could easily wreck her plans. It’s a big universe.
The head lights could be the Chief and the torch from the pilot guy. Might not be so interesting. I *am* interested in the runes though... It's a deliberate attempt to record something.
I don't believe that all ancient humans were indexed and devolved after the war as some factions might have scattered and settled in hidden worlds or maybe left the galaxy. If they were so technologically advanced and had access to precursor technology, they could've built ark ships in order to save the species. The UNSC built the Infinity for the same purpose in case they lost against the covenant.
Yeap 343 screwed this up just like H5, so much material to pull from, but no good writers to bring that lore 2 life. Ancient Humanity have a story that need to be told from their time as an Empire to their two front war with the flood and the Forerunners, also how modern Humanity (UEG/UNSC) rediscovered them after finding the AH ship whose servitors were still functioning and with this knowledge ,a joint task-force was put together and sent to the system where the AH/AI guided them 2 prior to the great war ,just imagine what could've happened had the UEG fully reverse engineered the tech from the AH vessel
The firing of the halo would’ve killed everything on it. And didn’t the grave mind infect everyone on that ring before it fired? It’s been a while since I read the book but didn’t the grave mind use the humans geas to lure them to the palace of pain, where they were assimilated?
A point made was something along the lines of “what made the devolved ancient humanity become more than hunter gatheres?” About 5 minutes into the video. No offence but stupid question cause humanity as we know it in actual real life did that. What reason did we have? Probably curiosity.
The new microphone idea sounds nice. Would add to the immersion of the content. Also, epic as always bro.
Good guy flood looking out for us
We know humanity has been on Zeta Halo since 2555, in the novels, though, and seemingly have not found ancient humans? unless they kept some VERY big secrets...
is that what Chief says under his breathe in the infinity trailer looking at the ring? 'they took the humans?' or 'they took the Light Workers?'
@Jordan Genge yeah I don't think he does
oni does this a lot..... wait why do i hear knocking on my door? =o
The book cryptic tells us that chakas (spark) was around 1000 years AFTER humans where regressed.
Chakas never saw an ancient human ship.

And that might tie into the video about the mystery crashed ship in Halo CEA terminals?
Zeta human then - now we call this Zeta as in Reticuli [The Greys]
Is there any videos that breakdown of what exactly the mantle of responsibility is, and why it's worth fighting over?

Can not wait for the ancient human story line and their covenant like religion they probably have for Precursors.
Ur theory need more view man..superb one

Nice video liked before watching
it would have been cool if 343 remembered ANY of this

I love your videos bro keep it up

Everything is really good bro!!
I hope Spark comes back. I can only imagine chiefs reaction.
Then Spark explaining, he's human.

Walter Kirkland plot holes and more plot holes.
@@punctuationman334 Just like your existence.
DAZZAKE what was the point of that insult?
@@punctuationman334 What was the point of pointing out non-existent plot holes?
DAZZAKE how is it a nonexistent plot hole? No need to be an ass.
I am hoping we get to see a city of people made by the Zeta Halo Humans. That would definitely be interesting.
Presumably abandoned?

I think this is going to lead to the UNSC going to war with the other humans.

Yes on all levels.
sooo stargate rings?

Silly humans! That is for other humans!
It’s sad that hunters in dispoved this theory
You "de-evolve". Regression is the term.
Many times humans have advanced and regressed.
The dark ages for example.
We disnt de-evolve. We regressed.
Well, we just lost knowledge. In the case of humans in halo. They actually had their biology altered.
A point made was something along the lines of “what made the devolved ancient humanity become more than hunter gatheres?” About 5 minutes into the video. No offence but stupid question cause humanity as we know it in actual real life did that. What reason did we have? Probably curiosity.
What’s a gesh
GEE-us
why do ancient humans looks like amerindians??
Nah
It's pronounced gees not gesh.
I have heard this every way possible and if you look it up it say 'gesh' and plural is 'gesha' so we know what we are talking about - tomato/tamata
