- Tevi Troy talked about his new book, "What Jefferson Read, Ike Watched, and Obama Tweeted: 200 Years of Popular Culture in The White House", which he calls a tale of how presidents have been shaped by culture, and how they have helped shape popular culture. He talked about the reading and movie viewing habits of many chief executives and he described the White House movie theater and its many uses over the years. Mr. Troy said that President Obama prefers "dark and gritty" television dramas, while Michelle and the children opt for more light-hearted sitcoms. He also spoke about how he researched the book, his mentors, and the role of social media in the White House. He suggested that social media will become much important for future administrations.
