@Sn1Per3000 yeah me too did the same upgrade, but 1070 was more impressive for its time, 3070 is ok, i love that card, but only 8gb of vram again is a little concerning
Contrary to 01:21 I picked up a partner GTX 1060 6GB for £210 a few days after launch, and they were readily available on multiple sites for around the £220 price point, significantly undercutting the outgoing GTX 970, which still sat at around £250. The founder cards really were seen as collector pieces, and priced accordingly.
These Founder cards are so great looking. Especially the 700 - 10 Series. I love these cards, they have such a unique design and I honestly really love blower style cards, they just seem so interesting to me for some reason. As always, another wholesome and thoroughly enjoyable video. You know, I'd love to see a "GTX 1060 vs RX480/580 in 2023" in RGHD style. Are you willing to pit those two GPUs on a one on one?
@@RandomGaminginHD I gave my RX 590 to my younger son and he's been playing the latest stuff at 1080p and is very happy with it. I got myself a RTX 3060 12GB and I'm also a happy camper. :)
@@RandomGaminginHD G'day I'd really like a 2023 comparison in new games too. it is not hard to see why the GTX1060 was Steam's No 1 for so long but it really confuses me why RX580 wasn't right next to it on the User GPU list, especially considering how good RX580 performance to $$$ has been over the years.
I always thought founders edition to be the "best" version of the base model of the gpu. Anyhow, I'm surprised you can still use this card on those games you've tried it on those 6gb really does make the difference v.s. 3/4gb gpu variants.
The 3 GB was always weird. the 1050 Ti came with 4 GB and aged better, but back then the RX 470 also existed and was an even better deal, unless mining destroyed the market. But both were clear recommendations over the 3 GB 1060 even when they came out.
@@HappyBeezerStudios In 2017 I bought a 1060 6GB over a 580 because the miners were all buying up the AMD cards, so I picked up a 1060 for £180 compared to almost double for the 580 and had no regrets. I even sold it for £180 (I could have got more by scalping but I was more than happy with what I got, in my use it cost me some thermal paste when I sold it and I cleared it to a gamer so win win in my book).
@@darthwiizius for me it was a slightly different reason to get a 1060 over a 580: power draw. that reminds me, i have to repaste mine as well soon. warranty is long over and cool is better than not cool. (not that it has any issues with that)
@@HappyBeezerStudios Yeah, so low power consumption the 1060 that really added to the reason to buy one. I upgraded from a 770 which had already fallen off the cliff performance wise despite pulling about double the power of the 1060 for half the output in actual gaming.
Motion blur and Depth of Field do have an impact on perf. Whether that's significant depends on the implementation and quality of said effects. Some games have very high quality motion blur, which takes loads of samples, therefore the effect would be a bit demanding.
My gf still has this card in her personal mini itx build. Not the founders but the Aorus edition. That card is a beast, overclocked by default and oc a little more by me and even in Hogwarts Legacy remain near silent at 68 to 70 degree. Love that mini build
i still have a tiny GTX 1060 3GB lying around that i bought after your recommendation back then. i've upgraded twice since then, but never sold it off because it wasn't worth that much and i figured it wouldn't hurt to have _something_ available as a backup

Glad to see how well the 1060 is holding up. I helped a friend build a PC for him and his son, had a 1060 laying around so I gifted it to them as a stopgap until the 4070 non-Ti release.
Pascal series were a big step and great in terms of performance, efficiency, price and still hold up pretty well. I still run my GTX 1060 6GB, still enough for me. Thanks for the video. :)
Dont get me wrong having high end gear and cranking settings to max with great fps is cool and all. But something about mid range gaming and tweaking for more fps on gear that costs half the price is what really makes me smile in this hobby.
Lovely card! I had tons of fun with it when it came out! It was the "budget" king! - when mid range cards cost 300 euro instead of 600 -.- I bought it for 240 Euro used back then (shortly used). I had the Jetstream edition which looked to good, but after i changed it to the Aorus Xtreme which was an absolute beast of a card! If u have a good cooler the GTX 1060 overclocks like hell. I hated that u cant SLI them. This would have destroyed the market im sure. 6GB Vram where more then enough back then. 2 of those cards would been epic.
Ah, the 1060, my first-ever GPU I bought with my own money (and a shame that it was a dud from ZOTAC). I bought the cheapest one off B&H half a decade ago for $220 and it had microstuttering issues and I played with that for 2 years before upgrading to a 1660 Ti XC from EVGA. The used market for the 10 series is also wild. I snagged both a 1070 and 1070 Ti for $85.
Fun fact: Nvidia didn't come up with the "Founder's Edition" branding until the GTX 10 series (Pascal architecture). Prior to that, they were just called reference models like AMD's cards. Controversially, the 10 and 20 series Founder's Edition cards were priced higher than the MSRP, despite most AIB cards out performing them in thermals and noise.
My 1060 is still going strong! As of a few months ago its become more of a backup as I’ve upgraded to the 5700xt to hold me over until I can find a fairly priced 6650/xt. Much love for this card as finding this for $100 in the gpu shortage allowed me to build my first rig in quarantine! Even when I eventually get my hands on a 6650 this card will continue to serve as my contingency GPU.
The 6650xt honestly would be more of a sidegrade to the 5700xt... I'd honestly keep using the 5700xt until the 7700xt comes out to get a significantly upgrade. Hopefully by then AMD will have the bugs worked out of the drivers and 7000 cards will offer better stability. Or you could go with a 6900xt which still offers some excellent price/performance if you get it at a good price. Currently they can be had new for $650 in the US, while offering RTX 3090 levels of performance (with RT off anyway lol)
Pascal was brilliant when it came out, huge leap over 9 series, the 1060 6GB basically doubled the performance of the 960 while sipping on electricity. Loved my old Zotac 1 fan version which I can assure you makes that blower sound whisper quiet by comparison. Yes I upgraded it but my 1060 is still my fave card because the performance boost I got over my 770 for the £180 I paid for it in 2017 was just awesome, it was a 90 Quid net spend at the end of the day.
Great video. I love the design of these cards. I have both a 980ti and a 1080ti founder's Edition. I just love the look of them. The 1080ti will likely be in my main rig for some time yet.
I had a 1060 3gb and shortly after 6gb version back in 2016 and 2017 but in 2018 i switched to 1440p and 1060 wasn't cutting it for me in AAA games anymore so i upgraded to 1080ti and one year later in late 2019, early 2020, i switched to 2070 which is basically a 1080ti with lower power consumption and access to DLSS and this one served me well until late last year. I remember the 1060 being excellent for 1080p gaming, very low power usage and realiable.
Maxwell was a good architecture too. I had a 980, a 908Ti, and a Titan X Maxwell. Impressive performance, and they could handle as much power as you could push in to them! Pascal is a mistake that Nvidia will not make again. It was too good.
Recently upgraded my 1060 6gb, so I played every game I play now with it. On low settings it was mostly running at around 60 fps, which is why I adore this card. 6 years later and still keeping up, the 10 series was pure value
gotta love the 1060 6gb. back at launch i tested all my old and not so old games at 4k on it, and was amazed to see how well it performed for the price... pascal was so good i immediately upgraded to the 1080ti and what a monster that gpu was...
In my rig I have a EVGA Gefororce GTX 1060 with 6gb Vram and runs like a dream. I bought mine a couple months ago from CEX for £130 with a 2 year warranty. Thank you fro a very informative video.
Holy crap I have the same set up but gave it to a friend of mine now I have a 6700k with a 1080ti. But that 4790k with the 3g 1060 was still putting our great performances on cod 2.0
I was using an i7 4790k together with a 1070 up until yesterday. Got myself a Ryzen 7 2700X used for 80€. The 1070 is still plenty capable, even for hogwarts legacy on Medium Settings :)
I always thought the 1060 was a great card. Glad to see that it's still capable with more modern titles. I used to have a 1060 3gb. I loved that card. I have since upgraded to the RTX 3060.
I bought a EVGA hybrid 1080ti for my work rig a few months ago. It keeps up with the 3060ti in my home machine. The 10 series were amazing and such a large leap ahead of the 9 series. We don't see that much anymore.
I just switch from this a couple months ago to a 3060 TI. I love the founders edition shrouds so I was able to find one on eBay for a really cheap price. It's a really solid card still if you don't mind playing at lower settings
The 1070 Ti was the only Pascal card I've ever owned, but man...that thing was a beast. Unfortunately it wasn't the beautiful founder's edition, but rather a Gigabyte Windforce 2X so at the very least thermals weren't ever a huge deal.
So your the one that bought it off the cash converters website! I noticed it had sold, lol! I did think about buying it for my collection, but decided to leave it for someone else who could put it to more regular use. Nice to see it was listed with the original box and paperwork, looks in great condition as well. I guess you will be moving it on after the benchmarking.
It would also be very interesting to test a RX 480 and see how it compares to the 1060 now, as AMD Drivers improve performance over time, at least many people say that.
The RX 580 was generally faster than the GTX 1060, depending on the title. But the RX 480 is about 10% slower than the 580, so it may be just a bit behind the GTX 1060.
Love these FE cards. My 1070 Founder's Edition (that I haven't had too long) just crapped out and I'm gonna replace it with basically the same thing but this time going up to the Ti. These shroud designs are timeless.
I still have it even if I changed CPU recently from 1600 to 5800X3D. Of all the games I play Edge of Eternity is the most demanding and it still in 1080p does 60-80fps on high settings with FSR enabled. With a card like that I might wait a little more and avoid being ripped off. I remember buying this card right when crypto madness was starting to hit. It was the last piece in the last store available at a decent price. I didn't know I made the best deal of my life back then.
This was my first graphics card ever in 2015. Unfortunately it got water damaged because there was no back plate to protect it... but i moved on to better things. To an RTX 2080 FE, now im on a 4080 FE.
I'd love to see this card compared side by side with a 1660 as they are both 120W TDP cards and 6GB. I'd also LOVE to see this card modded with a 1660 (single fan) heatsink and fan setup to shorten the overall card length and see what it does to the temps/performance.
The fact that older Gen cards can STILL play the majority of AAA titles without any stutters is just amazing, even if Graphics settings is set to the minimum
The 6Gb do a great job. The 1060 3Gb hit the memory limit . Wel 1050ti 4Gb is lower but more stabel fps So really 1050ti on the long run than a 1060 3Gb model. Personal i have vega 56 what have the same speed like the rx5600xt . The 2Gb extra on vega make les dip and you can more textuur options.
@@dyslectische i dare to say that a 5600XT is faster than a vega 56. @@barbusbogdan7 no not really. A vega 56 custom designed can be on pair agians a vega 64 blower model That is the reason a vega 56 win against a rx 5600xt on 1440p and higher. And hardware Unbox use vega 56 and 64 blowers in that game. A vega blower vs custom cooler . Is about the custom one by the manufacturer about 15% faster. Reason that vega 64 sucks is that the memory speed is to low for that cars. The vega 7 model the one that come out after vega 64 is a lot fastee thanks to the faster memory speed. The vega 64 is hold back a lot . Wel the vega 56 is more balanced and do not have to wait in the gpu.
I have the exact same card, a GTX 1060 Founder's Edition. 🙂 When it comes to their looks, I find the GTX 10-series Founders Edition the most beautiful of all video cards. And still holding on today indeed. With the blower style fan, you have the advantage that all hot air from the GPU leaves the case immediately. For small cases or PCs with bad airflow, this can make a difference.
Yeah but the bad part is that blower fans are noisier and they wear out faster because they are small and have to spin at higher rpm than a bigger regular fan
I’ve got the EVGA GTX 1060 SSC 6gig 👍 This GPU can do 1440 no problem and is rock solid on 1080. I got it for $200 cad 5 years ago! Intel Arc maybe my next upgrade if they keep improving .
Still an impressive GPU and a very cool design indeed. A comparison between a 1060 and the GTX 1650 would bei great because they can be bought at the same price used these days.
I believe the 1060 is still a better performer than the 1650, though I've picked up a few 1660 Supers on eBay in the $105-120 range and those are 1070-level performance. I love the 1070s but the 1660S is a better used buy, I think it's overlooked in the secondhand market.

I am still using a GT1060 6GB and works fine in all titles I use, Sniper Elite 5, Mafia Definitive Ed, Tomb Raider (the shadow of) Elite Dangerous with no issues and lots more besides
Holy cow, I did not even know these existed. If it is quite audible, as you said, you might want to replace the fan, they are available on aliexpress and they do make a difference, if the card already has some mileage on it. Yours looks dust free on the fan thou, so I am not sure it is really worth it. Fun fact: these Nvidia FE fans fit at least some reference AMD cards and seem to make them more quiet. I own a high miles blower style silver rx 470 (xfx?) and the FE nvidia blower fan fit right in and made it significantly more quiet. Love the content, keep it coming, pls.
Such a legendary card. It deserved to become the perfect budget-build card. Instead, it's an overpriced old card that I wouldn't buy on the used market unless I were 100% sure the owner didn't use it for mining.
Mine currently isn't in use, but I'm torn about selling it as it's still quite capable. I may build a SFF pc out of it and a 10100 I have laying around and gift it to a friend or family member at this point, seeing as I won't get much for it on the used market. That or use as a HTPC for a while.
On one hand it's pretty nice to see my 6.5 years old mid range gpu still holding up in most titles. In worst case scenarios like a plague tale requiem you have to settle for 30fps at low settings. If I were to use my 2004 6600 gt in 2010 I'm not even sure it would have been capable of running HD youtube videos smoothly, let alone video games of that era. On the other hand, it used to be exciting to build low to mid range PC and being able to double performance every two years on the cheap. Obviously you can't have your cake and eat it and I'm happy with long lasting PC components now that I have more expensive hobbies.
But im honest. 99pounds are kinda a lot for this card, especially for the hot blower founders edition. I would rather wait a bit and buy a GTX 1070 for 120 bucks. If u search for it, u will find some cards that sell for that amount. Alteast in my country. Or buy the older GTX 980, it costs like 70-80 bucks in my country. The secret master bargains are the GTX 970 and R9 280x nowadays, some go for 30 bucks. :) (i just bought a 970 for 30 bucks and a 280x for 25 )
its certainly usable but it is at EOL in terms of new games its gunna become a severe issue around rtx 40 series really sad to see that good of an era being at deaths door and gaming wont be the same as the 2010's ;( Im keeping hold of my strix 1080ti for this reason, replaced by my xc3 3080 for daily use yes but its forever in my heart as the best time i if not all of us had in the online scape

I bought the 1060 Phoenix 6gb a week ago 'cause my Hd 6950 was dead, for 90€ its a steal. At 1080p in 2023 i was surprised. Played with: R5 5600X, 16gb cl16 3600mhz, ssd nvme Kingston 500gb.
The higher end cards like the 1070 and 1080 ti have still held their value REALLY well, I snagged a broken PC with a 1080 ti in it for $345 USD and managed to get it going for free! Sold it for $600 USD after so that's quite good
My GTX 1060 FE after many years started reaching 87°C and counting while gaming. Opening up i was surprised how much dust collected in the fan and heatsink. After a dusting and respaste back to quieter lower temps. So many older game titles yet to play, i haven't been pushed or yearn to upgrade to higher spec just yet.
10 series was the last great series from Nvidia low power requirements across the board, the best designed cards from partners and more importantly weren't overpriced.

@@shaneeslick It is the power usage and drivers..Classic stuff.
@@Djare915 I've never had a problem with my RX580 Drivers
I always thought founders edition to be the "best" version of the base model of the gpu. Anyhow, I'm surprised you can still use this card on those games you've tried it on those 6gb really does make the difference v.s. 3/4gb gpu variants.
Yeah I praised the 3GB card when it came out but now seems like the time to finally avoid it to be honest
The 3 GB was always weird. the 1050 Ti came with 4 GB and aged better, but back then the RX 470 also existed and was an even better deal, unless mining destroyed the market. But both were clear recommendations over the 3 GB 1060 even when they came out.
@@HappyBeezerStudios
In 2017 I bought a 1060 6GB over a 580 because the miners were all buying up the AMD cards, so I picked up a 1060 for £180 compared to almost double for the 580 and had no regrets.
(not that it has any issues with that)
@@HappyBeezerStudios
Yeah, so low power consumption the 1060 that really added to the reason to buy one.
Yeah good idea to keep it around. I’m glad my video helped you make your decision back then :)
Love the content bro keep it up! As a fellow person from the uk i know how amazing cashies is!!!
It’s a gold mine haha
@@RandomGaminginHD Thank you so much for the reply! your content is amazing and I love all of the content you produce my favourite type of video is the benchmarking videos but it might be cool to see some gaming videos? just a idea, I hope as a fan we entertain you as much as you do for us keep up the work you make my day!!
The memories, great work!
Glad to see how well the 1060 is holding up. I helped a friend build a PC for him and his son, had a 1060 laying around so I gifted it to them as a stopgap until the 4070 non-Ti release.
i find these kind of videos from you the most entertaining
Thank you
I don't care if blower style cards aren't as practical in the majority of builds, they just look so much cooler
Pascal series were a big step and great in terms of performance, efficiency, price and still hold up pretty well. I still run my GTX 1060 6GB, still enough for me. Thanks for the video. :)
The 1060 6gb was first GPU I purchased when I built my 1st computer. It was a insane upgrade compared to my old laptop!
Dont get me wrong having high end gear and cranking settings to max with great fps is cool and all. But something about mid range gaming and tweaking for more fps on gear that costs half the price is what really makes me smile in this hobby.
Back in the day i used to binge watch your gpu benchmark videos and bought the 1060 still a very good card
Lovely card!
I had tons of fun with it when it came out! It was the "budget" king! - when mid range cards cost 300 euro instead of 600 -.-
I bought it for 240 Euro used back then (shortly used).
Yeah sli would have been so good. Can probably use different sli auto to use two together though, even if next to no games support dual gpu anymore :(
Ah, the 1060, my first-ever GPU I bought with my own money (and a shame that it was a dud from ZOTAC).
These founder cards are the best looking cards ever made imo. I finally got my hand on a 980 founders edition and I absolutely love it!
Still rocking my 1060 6gb laptop 🔥
Do you care I have a 4080 and you dont?
Pascal was brilliant when it came out, huge leap over 9 series, the 1060 6GB basically doubled the performance of the 960 while sipping on electricity. Loved my old Zotac 1 fan version which I can assure you makes that blower sound whisper quiet by comparison. Yes I upgraded it but my 1060 is still my fave card because the performance boost I got over my 770 for the £180 I paid for it in 2017 was just awesome, it was a 90 Quid net spend at the end of the day.
Upgraded from GTX 770 2GB to 1060 6GB and MAN was that and upgrade! Mind you I'm still at Pascal with my 1070 Ti ;D
This was a good deal back in 2016. For $250 you got a card as powerful as a GTX 980 with 2GB more vRAM.
Im following you since you had under 100k subs. I really loved your videos doing benchmark with different hardwares... Keep it up
i just picked up an EVGA 1060 FTW 6 gb a week ago for $100 nice to see it's still capable in newer games.
Using a 6 gig 1060 with 4790k, honestly this system's longevity and capabilities been a great help through the tough times :D
Was on that same setup. The 1060 died in 2018 though but my 4790k kept going with an rtx 2080 fe. Now im on 12700kf, rtx 4080 fe.
@@theicewitch9328 congrats on the mad upgrades (:
@@jponz85 still a very nice setup as long as games continue supporting that CPU 👍
Lower settings on a 3060 ti :skull: the only time this is true is if you want very high refresh rate 1080p or 4k
@@supercool_saiyan5670 I was talking about the 1060 🤭. I can play anything 1080p 144fps with the 3060 TI. It's a massive jump
The 1070 Ti was the only Pascal card I've ever owned, but man...that thing was a beast. Unfortunately it wasn't the beautiful founder's edition, but rather a Gigabyte Windforce 2X so at the very least thermals weren't ever a huge deal.
I'm still running the zotac mini 1060 6gb, Mine overclocks really well and I clean it often so it runs cool and loud
I had a 1060 for about 3 years served me very well, i still keep it on display on my desk for years now and for many years to come
I often imagine the games would could experience if all low end GPU owners would upgrade to at least a 3060.
I’m still running this exact card in my rig paired with a Ryzen 5800x. Love the look of these founders cards
Well, the CPU helps. It would not be the same with a 4c/4t CPU like and old i5.
@@takehirolol5962 indeed
The 6Gb do a great job.
The 1060 3Gb hit the memory limit .
Wel 1050ti 4Gb is lower but more stabel fps
So really 1050ti on the long run than a 1060 3Gb model.
Personal i have vega 56 what have the same speed like the rx5600xt .
The 2Gb extra on vega make les dip and you can more textuur options.
@@dyslectische i dare to say that a 5600XT is faster than a vega 56.
I had a vega 64 in 2019 and in 2020 my cousin bought a 5600XT and paired it with his ryzen 3600 while mine was paired with a 3900X.
In certain games his gpu was waaaay faster, in most of them was on par with my GPU. And i believe vega 56 is lower in terms of performance than 64 unless crazy OCed
@@barbusbogdan7 no not really.
A vega 56 custom designed can be on pair agians a vega 64 blower model
That is the reason a vega 56 win against a rx 5600xt on 1440p and higher.
On 1080p the rx5600xt is little bit faster than a vega 56 .
This is the memory Botlek of the rx5600xt
Last is a test by hardware un box with the game from the new Harry Potter games (what ever)
And its test even a vega and the old rx serie.
See that one.
I upgraded from my 1060 6gb to a 3060Ti and the difference is night and day, but God Damn I loved my 1060! It's in my sons rig now
I used to have a 1060. Glad to see that it's still holding up in 2023.
This is amazing classic graphics in 2016 . your founder Edtion very special
Beautiful card, like!
I have the exact same card, a GTX 1060 Founder's Edition. 🙂
When it comes to their looks, I find the GTX 10-series Founders Edition the most beautiful of all video cards.
About time u did a 1060 review, wow, brother, u are rocking lately.
I’ve got the EVGA GTX 1060 SSC 6gig 👍 This GPU can do 1440 no problem and is rock solid on 1080. I got it for $200 cad 5 years ago! Intel Arc maybe my next upgrade if they keep improving .
The king of value! Man i love the pascal generation.
Not only did that NPC in cyberpunk fall over, but they got ran over too! must have been having a really bad day :D
Great to see how this card is holding up. Would love to see if the RX 580 8GB is still just as good.

Wayback when I only play in a laptop with a 840m gpu, having a pc with a 1060 was my dream. Just 3 years ago I built my first pc with a 2070super. I might get a 1060fe one day to display it on my shelf, that card still has its place in my heart. 😁
great video man
Thanks
Literally just swapped out my 1060 3gb but never really ran I to any issues. It's sitting in my htpc now where I use it to play older titles and party games on the tv. Great investment considering it's now 6 years old and still perfectly viable!
Yeah certainly got your moneys worth

Probably my desk chair under all the pressure 😂
I had a Palit 1060 6gb which I upgraded to a 3070 Ti and even though it's the cheapest model of the 1060 series it still performs really well today even after 6 years I had it for. Makes you think how good the 1000 series holds up
Im still using it‘s competitor, an RX580 8GB and pretty often, especially with Forza horizon 5, I’m shocked how good this still runs while looking great on my 6 year old mid range PC
I've got a 1080 ti founders and I bought it in 2020. Awesome card and they're pretty
Mine died sadly, never was sad about a piece of electronic, but this one was like a companion, good bye friend
:) (i just bought a 970 for 30 bucks and a 280x for 25 )
You friggin legend!
its certainly usable but it is at EOL in terms of new games its gunna become a severe issue around rtx 40 series
really sad to see that good of an era being at deaths door and gaming wont be the same as the 2010's ;(
Im keeping hold of my strix 1080ti for this reason, replaced by my xc3 3080 for daily use yes but its forever in my heart as the best time i if not all of us had in the online scape
I have Evga gtx 1060 sc 6g and very happy with it in 2023.
it makes sense why this is now popular. all titles can be played 40+ FPS with high setting in modern games.
My previous card was a Zotac GTX 1070 Mini which I bought in 2018 for around £224. Still have it sitting around my house.
It kept me going until September 2021 when I finally managed to secure a 3060 Ti for the normal price.
my gtx 1080 that i got for christmas is an absolute beast, it will run anything on max settings as far as you have the fan speed high enough
I bought the 1060 Phoenix 6gb a week ago 'cause my Hd 6950 was dead, for 90€ its a steal. At 1080p in 2023 i was surprised. I played various AAA games like Hogwarts legacy and 60fps in medium with no fsr its impressive. I like this card, when i bought it i know that i need to lower my expectations, but im happy.

Played with: R5 5600X, 16gb cl16 3600mhz, ssd nvme Kingston 500gb.
Wow, was not expecting this performance at all.
The higher end cards like the 1070 and 1080 ti have still held their value REALLY well, I snagged a broken PC with a 1080 ti in it for $345 USD and managed to get it going for free! Sold it for $600 USD after so that's quite good
The 900/1000 series Founders Editions were cheaper than board partners, then they went premium 2000 series, then the cheaper option 3000/4000 series
I bought a 1080 for my personal gaming pc this year, and its STILL is a better deal than anything else on the used market.
I used to have a ton of these when I was mining Ethereum back in 2017, great cards
I also never knew that these cards exist in Founders Edition!
Something i keep my eye on to find . 🙂
10 series was the last great series from Nvidia low power requirements across the board, the best designed cards from partners and more importantly weren't overpriced.
Yeah my favourite series (apart from 70 of course)
I have a 1070ti founders for sale with original box.
Seems like 10 year from now we will all be here watching a video on how the 1060 is holding up and how great of a card it still is. If you bought one at launch, you won the lifetime value award.
Still using my GTX 1080 modified with Raijintek Morpheous II Core black cooler. Along with this is my 4790K CPU. This combo plays very good on everything I play at 1080p. I am still holding off upgrades until we get more deeper into GPU demanding titles.
Wonderful video as always. My daily card for EVERYTHING is a GTX 1060 3gb which resides in a HP prebuilt. I just cannot bring myself to upgrade as it does everything I ask of it.
Thank you :) and as I always say if it’s good enough for your needs it’s good enough
The 1060 6gb is a wonderful card and the 6gbs of VRAM is really carrying this GPU through the coming years
Yeah the glowing green GeForce logo in a generic black box from the GeForce experience loading window was something I always wanted for some reason and last year i acquired a GTX Titan X 12gb and built it into a generic black box PC and I was so happy with it, mabye even more than my main system
I used one for the past 3 years or so and switched to a used 1080ti recently, both great cards
Its a real shame that blower cards are so hot and loud because they look so good
Yeah they look great. I’ll compromise 😁
