These vintage IKEA furniture are actually worth a lot of money!

Today IKEA is for most part associated with cheap furniture made from chipboard, cheap to buy but also impossible to sell on the second hand market. But there are quite a few exceptions. Back in the days IKEA was nothing but i retailer, selling furniture made by different furniture manufacturers all around Scandinavia. In this video were showing you some vintage IKEA furniture actually worth quite a lot of money.

Agree. It's really annoying IKEA wont reveal the names of the creators who designed most of their vintage design objects.

I just had my IKEA Illo chair by Niels Hammelgaard reupholstered in leather. I got it for free when I worked at IKEA in 1987. It turned out beautifully.

The demand for 1980's IKEA pieces is actually growing. Guess most of them have been thrown away by now, and the supply is not that big.
