If you are young you need to fight it because if you let it in, it can get to a point that it will turn to a physical addiction and then…well then it becomes a much different problem and one that no matter what you do, you will spend much time in mortal sin. As a female you run the terrible risk of getting pregnant with a loser who will never love you. Every single time you have a lustful thought you need to address it in this way “by the Precious Blood of Jesus, I rebuke, reject, and renounce this lust, and in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit do I cast it out. Yes Jesus has given us the authority over ourselves to cast out demons in his name. You might have to do this 500 times a day but eventually the darkness will recede I promise. DO NOT LET IT IN WHILE YOU ARE YOUNG, IF YOU THINK IT IS BAD NOW, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT CAN BECOME

Even the Lord was tempted by the devil in the desert - if temptation was a sin - then that is saying the Lord sinned and we know that is not truth. Martin Luther was a catholic monk who after being upset with the church insted of approaching the matter through the tribunal broke his vows and left the church creating his own church and removed 7 books from the bible to accomdate his new beliefs. For 1,500 years prior to him, everyone was catholic and we all believed in the same things and temptations are not sins. A mortal sin is when you know something of a serious nature is sinful have sufficient reflection on it and decide to do it anyway. A veniel sin is when you do something not of serious nature and don't do it with the intention of sinning or defying God.

That is a very good point. I don't think it is as problematic as you assume though. He very probably would have been condemned for not following his vocation (and what a vocation!). It is very hard to get to heaven without following one's vocation, don't you agree? But the example holds true for everyone. We cannot take sin lightly. Giving in to one temptation could take you down the ramp to eternal fire. Of course, we could repent, but who can guarantee that? Usualy people who take their future repentance for granted, don't ever repent. Tell me what you think.

If we don't ask for grace then we cannot complain if we don't receive it. Isn't it so? 1 John 8-10 doesn't give us the permission to sin. It merely emphasizes that we can receive mercy for our sins, and that no one is righteous without God's mercy/grace.

If someone is about to enter a zone of fire, where he can easily be hit by a bullet, it is an act of charity to tell him, that one bullet can kill him so as to persuade him to NOT enter that zone. On the other hand, it is irresponsible to tell him about his chances of coming out alive without ever talking about the imminent danger. More so when dealing with occasions of grave sin. Mortal/grave sin kills the soul
