    I have the C400 coming TODAY!! I am gonna sell one C70 and keep the other. The C70 has never disappointed me. A true bad ass all-a-rounder. The C400 with triple ISO and better AF and 6K should future proof me just like the C80 is gonna do for you. IT took a while but Canon dropped some bombs. Nice work.

    Man bro you making me want a C70 again. I was just about to get another R5C but this will hold me over for video work. Ion know man this gone be tough.

      I mean whatever fits the work flow best go for that obviously. U still have a dedicated photo cam? That R5C hybrid could be hella solid. Especially being full frame for the 28-70mm

    I’m digging this. Loving the low light shots. I’m definitely gonna pick up one to use with my R6 mark ii. Are you able to hot swap SD cards? Or do you have to turn the camera off first before doing so?

    • @ShotByCurt
      @ShotByCurt  3 місяці тому

      Appreciate u. That’s actually a great ass question. I’ve haven’t ever been in a situation where I needed to. U can dual record and relay record tho if that helps and even proxy record if u into that. But now ima go see I can hit swap.

    • @Q4MediaSolutions
      @Q4MediaSolutions 2 місяці тому +2

      Yeah, you can hot swap. The new card will get the last 4 seconds before the swap and then everything after.

    All-I is XAVC as well, You have the options of LGOP as well under that menu, but All-I has it's advantages in post if you have the storage and processing to use it. I pretty much only shoot All-I these days for commercial work, but I know it's still overkill in most situations given the amount of space it takes up.

    • @ShotByCurt
      @ShotByCurt  2 місяці тому +1

      Damn u know I didn’t even think about that! Thanks for clearing that up for me u are absolutely right. I use the LGOP. I would like to use the ALL-I but the cards I have is too small for the long for stuff. But for short stuff I use it every so often. I appreciate u!

    Good review - I’ve owned a C70 for 9 months now coming from a C100 M2. Good starter 4k cine camera. Great battery life, built in NDs, built in audio, Codec choices - a lot to like. Coming from a super 35 sensor camera I knew the limitations before hand. That said, the things I don’t like - camera is useless outdoors without a EVF - don’t know why Canon doesn’t have a option for this. Also the image is soft - still solid, but the lack of downres is apparent. The camera serves me and I don’t feel the urge to run out and buy the C80 or C400 just yet. For a run and gun shooter like me it’s still a respectable, reliable camera with solid image quality.

      I appreciate u!! Yes!!! Outdoors the monitor is trash! And most the time I don’t use an external monitor because it’s probably a run n gun so I go minimal. I know they changed the nits on the c80 but I doubt it’s super better than the c70. I love my c70 but need a new A cam because I do quite a bit of 2 cam setups. Glad it’s serving u tho!

      😂 all good! It was in San Francisco. How do u like it so far? Or have u even got a chance to mess with it like that?

      @@ShotByCurt *adds San Francisco to my travel list* maybe I'll come to the area for a Valkyries home game and try to find this location. I've got it "rigged" the way I want and have setup the custom function buttons the way I want. I haven't filmed anything yet though. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday when I get the xlr to mini xlr cable.

    Bruh I am now shooting with a 12 year old c300 mki, Canon cinema cameras have always had the dopest images , from what I've seen the c80 might ve to sharp for me kind of like Sony cameras

    • @ShotByCurt
      @ShotByCurt  3 місяці тому +1

      Yea can Canon definitely been clean wit the image! I like the idea of the C80 because with my R5 I shoot over sampled because in post I can crop in and get different types of shots from the one shot. So it’s more so a flexibility thing I guess.
