Hi Gareth, a beautiful video showing that the effort you put into the planing paid off. I often think that angling should be called The Great Expectations Adventure! That was some fantastic hook ups. Cheers mate. Harera
Thanks Gareth, Love your videos, it's such a cool looking river, appreciate your work you put in to make these videos, great gob and look forward to the next episode, Cheers Mike
Great video, those little game changers are so much fun. Tied some and fished them in Chile in March on the Paloma, good times. I tie them with one hook at eh head. See you guys use two hooks. Which hook did you get the most hook-ups?
@@thewonderwok hey Greg Dustin will do very limited custom orders. I’ve asked him to reply to this comment. Now my question to you. I am hoping to to a riverside open fire catch and cook this winter. Any basic recipes you can suggest ?
@@TroutHuntingNZ well Gareth - I think my steamed fish recipe would be fantastic on the river- we should have a WhatsApp conversation & I will gladly give you my thoughts on how I would do it😆👍
@@jayk.2276Huge is a relative term…we don’t have big fish in Idaho. I think Utah is the spot for sure. People should go to Utah. I read it on a forum. Must be true.
Hey Gareth great video - can I ask who Dustin is talking about when he mentions the guy that he follows in making the streamers as I would love to have a crack at making some of my own? Keep up the good work man!!!
Glad to see you having some epic times and looking happier than previous video. Good job! :D

Cool video. That first fly I think is a Drunk and Disorderly. It was invented by Tommy Lynch. Or sure looks a lot like a D&D.
Could be. I’ll ask Dustin
Mate what an awesome video.
Just wondering what gear where you using to transport that beast of a fly to the fish?
Blue mountain ducks present cool
Lamson, Scott, simms…streamers…check, check, check, check. You are ready for north Idaho. If only our cutthroat were that big. Love the vids. Cheers.
Didn’t someone just set a record for a huge cutthroat caught out of the snake last year?
@@jayk.2276Huge is a relative term…we don’t have big fish in Idaho. I think Utah is the spot for sure. People should go to Utah. I read it on a forum. Must be true.
😂. Yeah man Idaho looks amazing I’ll get there one day for sure
Are those migratory steelhead or rainbows?
Seem to be casting/hooking as many or more by fishing upstream and across, rather than downstream / across?
Honestly most fish come on a down or across stream strip. Way more the the traditional down stream swing
Those streamer eats are soo sick. Are you guys using a floating or sinking fly line with the streamers? Cheers
Subbed. Would have to win the Lottery to get out there and fish your area but these vids provide nice dreaming material.
Hey Gareth great video - can I ask who Dustin is talking about when he mentions the guy that he follows in making the streamers as I would love to have a crack at making some of my own? Keep up the good work man!!!
Hiya, I wondered the same thing - the pattern is the Unholy Diver, by Andreas Andersson - a fair bit on UA-cam etc with how to tie.
What weight rod do you use to throw those large streamers?
7wt
Mantul mancing nya
Did the streamer have two hooks or one? Just want to try and recreate it :)
Thanks
Just picked up a streamer X too.
Best line for the job
6:11 why is there a goat 🤣
They are feral goats overrunning the native forests in that area, unfortunately.
@@thor_6886 can’t hunt them?
Streamers are the bomb, such an aggressive strike. Dustin is tying some awesome looking ones. Would be be interested in selling some? cheers mate
Hit him up . He will sell but the time and materials make them not cheap.
But we’ll worth it.
What does it say on your hat?
You can achieve the same results with a single hook, zonker strip and some rubber legs. No need to tie a $20 streamer.
sometimes it’s about the fun on streamer fishing
wow man who tf asked or cares
Maravilhoso
Thanks
Why dont you fish with Alex anymore?
Cause Alex is wrapped up in his own importance
