Amazing list. I highly recommend COLLECTION of SaGa FINAL FANTASY LEGEND. They were originally on the Game Boy but are now on Switch. I played II growing up and it was my first JRPG.
Tales of Symphonia also is fairly classic, but minus that I think you got about everything!
It is a great pleasure to see the HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne here because it is one of my absolute favorite games of all time. While the remaster didn't improve everything it could have, it did still improve upon some important things, like now being able to manually select which skills a demon will inherit in fusion instead of having them randomly generated with some having a higher possibility of appearing than others. This quality of life feature will save players a lot of time when fusing custom demons because you can choose you skills instead of entering and exiting the demon fusion menu until multiple skills show up that you want your demon to have.
So even if this remaster didn't improve everything you want, it's still the best way to play the game because of what it does improve and you can get the console versions at a discount price and the PC version becomes considerably less expensive when it goes on sale via Fanatical. There are also mods for the PC version that improve things that the console version didn't, but be be careful to note that the base game in the console and PC versions are not the same. The PC version is the original version that was released and it doesn't contain the additional bosses, dungeons, and the canon ending for the game that were in the Western release of the game.
However, all of that content with once exception is available as free DLC called the Chronicle Pack. The only difference is that the appearance of Dante from the Devil May Cry series is replaced by Raidou Kuzunoha from the SMT Devil Summoner series. If you want Dante in the game, then you have to pay for $9.99 for the Maniax Pack. These games are the same with the exception of the swapped character, which you most likely have to pay for to cover the licensing fee that Capcom charges for Dante to be included. This is the version of the game that was released in the West, so if you went into the PC version blind without knowing this, then you might be surprised when the game has less content than you were expecting.

BOF2 is my favorite SNES era RPG even though I played it on GBA 🐉 🔥

Romancing saga great tip didnt know about the series. Added it on my wishlist will try it out if its on sale
I would also recommend the Sega Mega Classics collection, There are so many jrpgs on there, even the sega online has good ones.
Even if Star Ocean 2nd Story R & Super Mario RPG aren't exact ports, remember that many of the Final Fantasy games that came to the Switch included features to make the games more accessible like no random battles, game speed acceleration, or infinite gil depending on the game. (Sorry for the run-on sentence.)
All-in-all a solid list.
Oh man, Final Fantasy XII and Star Ocean 1 is my favorite games I’ve played it on the PSP and PS2. And I’m happy now that they brought it out for current consoles, since it’s to those who haven’t tried it from when it came out.

this is the best fire emblem game for me, ive replayed it more times and it never gets old. it seriously needs a remake so bad tho, even if the sprites are the literal best
Hey man love your content but I have to ask..why do you come up with quarky titles for your timestamps. It makes it really hard for me to go back after watching the video and reference the list if I want to check on the ones I'm missing later and I'm listening to or watching the video at a point where I can't write it down. Is there any chance you could start putting the time stamps as the actual game titles or attaching an actual list in the description?

Nocturne is the only SMT mainline game I have played come on Atlus release SMT5(and the rest) on PS4/5 already.

Imo, I'd put Breath Of Fire 2 over 1,
There's a better soundtrack (Memories is onw of my faves), better graphics, more side activities, a more in depth narrative, narrative choices which effect replayability, a town builder subsystem, and most importantly:
The party has more visble options this time.
In the first game, you will alnost always have a party of Ryu, Nina, Bleu, and Karn's fusion with Gobi, Ox, and Bow. Because Mogu is almost useless.
Meanwhile BoF2 has 9 characters who are all viable, unlike BoF1 which only had 4 of 8 who were good. And most of those 9 characters have different builds as well.
Please play Shin Megami 3 Nocture. The patches really helped this game to run better.
Dragon quest 1, 2, 3 collection would be much better if that was a snes port. Unfortunately it's a mobile port with questionable graphical changes.
Most of these were fine back when I was 14..
I'm 46 now every time I play a RPG anymore i find myself wishing for one targeting a older audience.
I have yet to find any myself.
