Just made this hat as a gift for my aunt abroad whose coming to Trinidad 🇹🇹I'm in love ...I'm gonna get more yarn to make one for myself ....the way you explained and didn't rush the whole video was just chefs kiss
tysm for this tutorial!! i tried so many but this was the only one that worked for me as im a total beginner :) your explanations are calm and clear and perfectly paced plus your voice is super lovely!!
I really like how the writting of the pattern stays on the screen and you repeat over several times!!You make following you really great !! Please keep up the good work !!Thankyou very much 😊
Honestly, this is the best tutorial I have ever watched!!! I have failed so many crochet projects and this one is sooo well explained as well as easy to follow! The slowed-down parts appeared right when I needed them. c: Keep up the good work and continue to inspire people to craft more! Love from Germany
Like the majority have said, you explain very well and my bucket hat actually came out like one that I will wear and wear with pride haha! Please make more vids about cardigans and vests, thank you! 💖
I ordered all the materials and super excited to try! Thank you for your time and patience to show us. I hope to learn to make a variety of things for my family.
I love your directions! You are a great teacher. For some reason the sides of my hat kind of puff out instead of going straight down. It still looks good, but do you have any idea what mistake I made?
You’re quite pleasant to take direction from. Your voice is calming and clear, not hissssy. 😅 Well done. I’m planning to use your pattern. I made a brimmed by mistake when first starting out without patterns, just experimenting in my own. It was too ruffled for my taste and yarn color change didn’t look right. I removed ruffles and kept as beanie. All fine.😊
Thanks for the detailed tutorial! This is the first project that I hardly make mistakes! A question - if I would like the back brim to be slightly longer than the front, how should I add the stitches? Thanks in advance!
OMG thank you so much for your video tutorial . After so many times that I tried to make this bucket hat, this time I perfect it. With the help of your very clear video tutorial. Thank you so much , 💓♥️♥️ I will subscribe and like your video.💓💓💓
Hi, love your instructions on this Bucket Hat it’s the best I’ve seen yet. Is it necessary to have that ridge from the back loop, can I just continue without it?
You'll do great! If you're brand new to crochet, definitely check out my videos on the magic circle and half double crochet. I'm here if you have questions!
@@Yarndrasil thanks for the tip! I finished it, I messed up somewhere so it's much bigger but hey, I get a nice sun hat instead 😅 I'll have to try again
I used Lyons brand white cotton it is not as firm as yours so it is too soft however I like your pattern I have tried 2 other patterns and yours is the best more classy
Hi, this is the best pattern I’ve seen for a bucket hat, I have one question, I want to make this in single crochet, do I use the same numbers (8) in the magic ring?
Is your name Rhonda? I make “ The I Feel Pretty” hat and your voice is like her’s. I play her videos anytime I’m making the hat even though I know it by heart just because I love her soft spoken voice.
Hi! Is there a way to alter this pattern to use a size 6 yarn? I started it 'as is' but it came out too large and was wondering what I could do differently
Hello. I'm new to crocheting and I wanted to know if you can use the lion brand cotton yarn for crocheting a baby bucket hat? Also do you have a pattern for crocheting a baby bucket hat? Thanks for your time.
Awesome video! One question: my yarn is smaller so I added two extra rounds to the top to make it to three and a half inches, making my stitch count for each round until the brim 96 stitches instead of 80 you had. I want to start the brim, so should I start increasing after 6 double crochets (on the first round of the brim into the front loops) and repeat that pattern, instead of increasing after 4 double crochets? Does this make sense ??
Love the tutorial but I’m a bit stuck. I’ve followed to tutorial step by step but I’ve somehow ended up with 72 stitches ending on round 5 (going into 6). Would starting over be the way to go or just doing one HDC in each stitch to catch up to what round 7 should have???
Unfortunately, I would start over if I were in your shoes. My best guess is that there were too many stitches worked in one of the first rounds, so the increases kept compounding. If you were to keep going with what you currently have there would almost certainly be ruffles or warping at the top of the hat. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news dear ♥️
Ps I hadn't even tried it on its still too big I made the base head smaller but it's still too big so I have to figure out reducing everything else cause it's to big all around
Hi Gloria! If you’ve measured the crown diameter and it’s as stated in the video then adjusting the pattern to make a smaller size is easy. I would start by omitting round 10. So work round 9 and then go right into round 11. This will decrease the overall size of both the crown diameter and the hat. You’ll also want to adjust the brim by working it up only to your desired length. Periodically try it on and then stop when you’re satisfied with the way the brim looks! Really hope this helps!
If you've measured the crown diameter (14:15) and that looks correct, I would work one additional round of increases before moving on to the next step. That would look like: *1 hdc in each of the next 9 sts, inc, repeat * around (88 sts). Alternatively, if you're a beginner and you're intimidated by messing with the existing pattern, it *could* work to go up one hook size. This normally isn't recommended because it might make the gaps between the stitches too visible. Hope this helps!

Terrific tutorial but I find the brim too “wavy” for me. Due to a lot of increased stitches. How do I configure to make it way less? Thanks so much.
Great video! So easy to follow
Thanks, Joy! Happy you liked it ☺️

I really love this pattern I'm making it now.
Can you do a pattern for the Moses cradle?
Hi...thank u for the tutorial 😊 Can spiral method applied to crochet a beanie?
Loved the pace of this video and very detailed! I want to make a rainbow colored one for my kids so how would I switch between color of yarns?
How many rows would you have to do for a childs hat to match a grown up???
Your voice is amazing
Thanks ☺️
I arsked about making the top of the hat bigger do I just do hdc all round with no increase
Благодарю за видео. Связала прекрасную панаму, ношу, не могу снять, ахахах

It’s a great yarn for babies! I don’t have a pattern for that but it is such a cute idea that I think I’ll make one ❤️

The goal is to have the increases evenly spaced so that sounds right to me!!
@@Yarndrasil awesome, thanks so much
Thank you for the tutorial! If wanted to make it bigger, would I make the crown diameter wider?
You’re welcome. And yes, exactly! One additional row of increases worked on the crown diameter should take you up a size 😁

I used baby wool and it didn't come out well

Can I use 3mm or 5mm hook?

@@Yarndrasil do you change r23 or does that stay the same
Finished hat is different than modeled at beginning of tutorial.
Is there a pattern for this
why my top is not flat😮💨
Can we use sc instead of hdc ??
Unfortunately no. That would result in the hat being much smaller.
i need help i re started mine 5 times its too tighttt

Don't do circle. Grr
I think i just missed some steps☹️ the diamater look smaller 🫠 … how to add it to make 6.5 inch ?
