Mazda 6 MPS acceleration + top speed

- Tried a top speed run in my completely stock 6 MPS. Started at 100 km/h, almost reached 250 but got stuck behind a Golf at 210. Then went from 210 to top speed. GPS showed 238 km/h, speedometer 250.
The top speed is crazy
Yeah, Golfs are always getting in the way lol
Did you see how slow he shifted of course they would get away
@@santerivuolukka read bro. he said get IN THE WAY
Golf's are slow asf
Hahahaha
i love my mazda but im too chicken to do this on quebec roads lol
The SQ don't fuck around when it comes to excessive speeding haha
How quiet is the cabin at 130kmh? My moms corsa is way too noisey and i have to buy a car for my own. its important for me since i have hearing damage
really quiet
get some nice tyres and it is a comfortable ride. I have an aftermarket exhaust on it and at freeway speeds I can hardly hear it
Look at the Fuel Tank meter at the beginning of the videoand of the ending :D
i am sure it will run about 20L/100km on vmax prob. more
and? what do we see? Oh right, it consumes fuel...wow...
@Iedy Iedy sad gas price at our stations around 1,50€ /L :( i will get soon my speed6 :)
Well you ain't gonna get that performance in a skoda fabia 1.9 tdi which consumes 5.5 l/100 km. Everyone is looking just at fuel consumption but not what you get for that fuel consumtion.
Since many years ago, the fuel tank meter shows an average of autonomy depending on the fuel consumption, not the real amount of fuel..
With a little Cobb ap v3 tune you’ll max the speedometer
I have 2 questions: is it awd? and is it limited to 250kmh?
Der typ der immer die gleiche Hose an hat Yes it's AWD, and the limiter is at 240 according to Mazda. In the car you feel it suddenly stopping the acceleration!
That’s a AWD but with a strange setup. The distribution of torque and power is on the front wheel and when the tyres don’t grip then the torque and power is passed on the rear wheels.
Noan Mousy normally its the other way around right?
On many car you have a base distribution for torque and power superior in the rear where the rear wheels have like 60/70/80 % of the power and torque and when you oversteer the power is lowered on the rear and increased in the front.
The objectif is to have a car with agility.
But yes, here that’s completely different.
Some says that the car can understeer and change the comportement instantly because of the distribution of the power in the rear. This car looks effective but less fun than a radical AWD wich have more power on the rear.
Thats not true, its been proven otherwise. its never fully FWD unless e-brake is on
I'm guessing you're quoting the MPS6 brochure where it says "data is fed into the Active Split All-Wheel Drive system which adjusts front/rear torque distribution between 100:0 and 50:50".
The problem is that this statement is sufficiently ambiguous that many journalists created misunderstanding about how the AWD works after they failed to do their research and published factually incorrect descriptions that claimed the MPS6 was "AWD on demand". ''
Put the car on a dyno, jack the car up. you will see all 4 wheels go.

Was that real? Damned, that cabin even shaked! Impressive these Mazdas

Good first car for car guys 255 hp is pretty good
260
I think it's 274 HP in North America
Marty TDD probably not to the wheels though
@@Aaronaitor Since when do car manufacturers announce their hp in WHP? DURR DURR
Bout to buy one of these
Nice, still loving mine, have fun and be careful(-ish)!
Did you buy it?
Kurde Mazda Gwiazda
Rund about 254... but GPS 250
You gotta broken GPS then!
155mph
Well stock Mazda 6 MPS for example is not very fast, it's a fast car but nothing woow. I race against it with my tunned diesel Astra J GTC 2.0 203hp/463nm, stage 1 remap, dpf, egr, cat delete/off, downpipe, full free flow exhaust, KN intake, AP coilovers, 9Jot wheels 20", 20mm spacers, 4H-Tech short shifter, etc...I was on MPS ass all the time, in cornes 1m behind it, and on straight 10m behind it...If that MPS was tunned the story would be totaly different.
🤣🤣 stories from an Opel driver
@@luca7590 more corners than straights, my car is more "track setup" vs friends STOCK MPS 6(260hp). Trust me, even I was shocked. I was thinking he would wipe the floor with me in corners bcs of 4x4 and that 2.3T has some torque around 350nm I think. Mine was on 203hp/465nm on 4200rpm where is the top end for this engine, and on 4200rpm still producing 360nm...so I think that is the reason besides "track setup" I could keep up..bcs he has 350nm only on 3000-3500rpm and on 6000rpm he is under 300nm.
Maybe, depends on the MPS state and driver. When they came out it beat the MItsu EVO 😬
Drove both in the days, can say it is true, the EVO beeing more hardcore and better for tuning.
200 ps diesels in a hatchback fly too , and won’t costs an arm and leg in fuel 😢👍
I don't know where you live, but if you look at his channel, you can see that he lives in the EU, and there extensive car tuning is borderline illegal / costs a metric fuckton of money, so when someones racing someone, it is essentailly stock vs stock
Dude you funny, you say you spent thousands on a sad Astra to race a stock MPS. Question is, how reliable has that Astra proved to be over the long term, because I see MPS with 400k miles on autotrade every month for less you spent on goodies
Not top speed, dude. Try again.
They are limited to 240 normaly
@@simonolsson2396 They are not limited, normally or ever.
lol guys pretty sure they are limited to 250 here in Europe
@@luca7590 Nope. No limit on that model.
@@arthurserino2254 ok why did my mz6 have that limit
why did I have to change the software to get rid of the limit
Why does wikipedia say they are limited to 240
why
Painfully slow. These cars aren't this slow though, this guy just driving stupidly slow.
