"Hillbilly" is a badge of honor to most real country folk.
Thanks for watching ❤️
It definitely doesn't feel derogatory, I like the term 'hillbilly'. Hillbillies will survive!
I am from Eastern Kentucky and Hillbilly as Hell!
I wholeheartedly agree!
Sevier Co., Tennessee way back up in the holler. No near neighbors but help is there if you need it. Call us hillbillies. We will survive.
You’ve listened to Hank Jr for many years “Are you ready for some football”
Thanks for watching
@@o.gyanchiii8323 Hank sang the NFL song for many years. Couple of decades I think. Millions of ad spots all over the US.
Wish they still played that. Miss it
He might be too young for that.
@@NoneYaBidness762 I didn’t think of that it’s been quite a few years I guess being an old man time flies by and I don’t realize how long it actually has been.
Hillbilly is a term of endearment, bro. "Heya, Hillbilly!" My reply: "Howdy, City Slicker!" No one is offended and we move on with our day.
Thanks for watching ❤️
good times...
His Father was a Country Legend, with the same name, so Jr had a lot to live up too.
Thanks for watching ❤️
First time seeing him was in 1982 in Dothan, Alabama, never forget it, when he was 26yrs old, he was hiking in Montana back in 1975 and fell almost 500ft off a mountain, "Country Boy Can Survive".
Thanks for watching ❤️
I was 15 in 82 and saw him in Dothan at the Houston County Farm Center . He had a place on PC Beach for many years in the 80's
Born in Lake Charles. Grew-up in Texas. Only a really good friend would get away with calling me Hillbilly.
My wish…ignorant people stop taken offense to being addressed as ma’me. It’s a sign of respect!
Hank Williams Jr is a legend and so is his dad Hank Sr. Check out Family Tradition. Hank Jr is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and is one of those people that can play many instruments, fiddle, banjo, guitar and piano for sure.
Thanks for watching ❤️
Great reaction! You should definitely check out Hanks song Family Tradition next. It's 🔥!
Thanks for watching ❤️
Real country folks are the most friendly and welcoming people you will ever know. However, don’t try to take advantage of anyone in their particular community or you won’t like the results.
Thanks for watching ❤️
Try that in a small town fits true country folks
This song was released in 1981 , but could have been yesterday because the subject matter is still relevant.
Thanks for watching
Hank Jr. was born and raised in Shreveport, La.!! He's a Real one! His Dad was from Alabam, but his Mom was a Cajun! His song "Born to Boogie" is a brief Bio of his life and a real Jam!!
Thanks for watching
His dad is the GOAT of GOATs
Thanks for watching ❤️
Now you need to listen to Hank. William Sr. He is where country music got started. He is the Goat of country music.
Thank for watching ❤️
Nickname hillbilly is a term of endearment!❤
Thanks for watching ❤️
When it first came out in the 80's. But, I've always been a Hank fan, and a Hank Sr fan.
Thanks for watching ❤️
I was a little child, around 4 or 5 years old when I first heard this. I'm 33 now. Been listening to Hank Jr my whole life.
Thanks for watching ❤️
You should read the story of Hank Jr. falling 500 ft down a mountain while hunting. He had a friend and his son with hom. The friend hiked back for help while the son stayed with Hank trying to keep him awake. He had severe face and head trauma. Its why he wears the dark glasses and beard to hide the scars . God bless!
Thanks for watching ❤️
Hank Williams Junior is outlaw
Thanks for watching ❤️
I'm a country girl, I was 24 when this song came out and yes Hank Williams Jr would be a fabulous rabbit hole to go down. I've fished from dusk 'til dawn and loved it, and no you don't miss anything when you are fishing! His father Hank Sr. was a great singer too and his son Hank III is pretty good in his own right!
It was his friend that lost his life for $43, but you paid pretty good attention.
A country Anthem!!!!! Hi from Indiana.... I am 45 and I listen to this song all the time :)
Thanks for watching ❤️
Hanks got a bunch of great songs he's our boy here in Tennessee 😅
Thanks for watching ❤️
I’m from Louisiana and when you said real country people don’t even know they’re country I almost cried! Great reaction!
Thanks for watching ❤️
On Feb 5th, we lost a great Country Artist and Patriot - Toby Keith.
You must dig into his music. It will feed your soul.
I’ve been listening to Hank all 50 years of my life, he’s my favorite country singer and being a country boy he resonates with us country folks.
Thanks for watching
I’m from Louisiana too!! Hank Williams Jr. is the bomb!! Thanks for the video. Yes he is playing the guitar!!❤️
Thanks for watching ❤️
I am a 64 year old woman who has lived in the country my entire life. Live in the middle of the woods now. Love it!!!!
hank can play dozens of instruments brother. I go back to his dad who was like elvis to that generation ... dig deeper ❤️
Thanks for watching ❤️
I may be wrong but I think it was his friend who called him Hillbilly was the one who was killed, check out Johnny and Edgar Winter Tobacco Road if you haven't already, great reaction
Thanks for watching
Any song Hank Jr plays is a hit. Check out "Man of Steel", "Mr. Lincoln", "Blue Jean Blues" ...I could go on and on. You can also check out George Jones song "He Stopped Loving Her Today" or Red Sovine's "Roses For Momma" or '"Teddy Bear"
Thanks for watching
I LOVE Louisiana! I was stationed at Polk for 6 years.
Thanks for watching
The best concert that ever went to was in 1983, It was in my hometown of Wilmington NC for the Azalea Festival. The Warm up act was a Young and up and coming group Alabama and the Headliner was Hank Williams Jr. I was working as Student security since the Concert was at the University I graduated from. I was also in the North Carolina Army National Guard at the time.
I was only a few feet from the Stage. They were amazing performers. Alabama and Hank Williams JR both were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Please react to the Hank Williams JR song Family Tradition.
Thanks for watching
Not sure when I heard this one first.. but the first song I heard from HWJ is : All My Rowdy Friends!! love it!! xo
Thanks for watching ❤️
I first heard this song when it was new. I was a child at that time. I'm 52 now.

Thank for watching ❤️
I’m 54 years old and have heard this song probably a thousand times. I love it.
38 years ago. I grew up on this music. It wasn't his uncle. It was a friend
Family Tradition in 1979 when i really started to listen to Hank Jr, i more of listened to Hank Sr before that.
Thanks for watching ❤️
'Love this song. If sh*t hits the fan, I'm hangin' with my country neighbors!
Thanks for watching ❤️
I first heard this about ten years ago. I was very surprised to find it was released in 1981, but the video feels more 1990's. Perhaps a re-release. Great song and video. I'm sure his Dad would be proud.
Thanks for watching ❤️
It was probably about 40 years ago the first time ❤
Thanks for watching
I got your back when you got mine.. unity!!! xo
Thanks for watching ❤️
In to get some barrels of chain this past summer.. Warehouse guy says.. "Gonna be a few minutes wait boys (2 of us); our forklift guy is running late"..
"No worries bro; we got this!"
4 50 gallon barrels of chain up and on the deck of the F-550... thanks fellas.
There was 4 warehouse staff standing there watching with jaws hanging low.
I winked before i hopped in my truck. "COUNTRY BOY STRONG FELLAS"
Thanks for watching ❤️
I was raised up listening to him. Back in the 90’s he intro NFL Monday or Sunday night football
Thanks for watching ❤️
Hank Jr. is the MAN! Love him ❤️🥺
Thanks for watching ❤️

Thanks for watching
It's really like a different world growing up in the country. We made our own honey from bees, got our own maple syrup from trees. Gardening, hunting, fishing, raising and butchering animals, canning and preserving that food... I just absorbed it all not knowing that not everyone knows how to do these things. I feel very blessed. You hit on this exactly when you said it's just normal to where you think it's typical and normal to eat squirrels and rabbits... And then I grew up and realized people find that very weird.
Thanks for watching ❤️
I grew up on a farm here in Nashville still work and live today. Nothing in my life I'm prouder than
About 12 when I first heard it!
This classic Hank Williams Jr. is awesome! You really do know him if you were a football fan in 2016 when Hank's views made him too country to sing the "Are you ready for some football? anthem.
Anyway, he was always dealing with tragic issues. I never was a big fan of Hank Williams Sr., a legend in country music, but I absolutely LOVE Hank Jr. You can see, hear, and learn about Hank Junior's challenges in life. He does many great songs, some are not mainstream but they are still awesome to listen to and they explain his unbelievable journey of the man.
BTW, this was my first reaction from you. I love your musical understanding and thoughtful insights. BTW, take a listen to the live version of The Charlie Daniels band's "The Devil Went to Georgia" for a mind-bending treat. These artists are not like the mainstream country out there. They are in a genre that these artists called "Southern Rock".
Thanks for watching ❤️
A lot of times home ain't there no more! Once you leave there's no going back
Thanks for watching ❤️
His father, Hank Williams, was born in Alabama. He was a famous singer too, but died at 31. You should try Hank Williams.
Thanks for watching ❤️
Family Tradition is my favorite song by Hank Junior.
Hank Senior is a great as well.
Also love “Midnight In Montgomery” by Alan Jackson. It’s a Tribute to Hank Sr. about visiting his gravesite in Montgomery Alabama.
Thank for watching ❤️
His reason for including the one part I think is to show that out in the sticks you know your neighbors. It's harder in a big city, and it wouldn't happen because a country boy is prepared to defend himself. Hence the message that in the country, it's easier to survive.
Thanks for watching ❤️
best concert I've ever been to, he is a showman and was playing all kinds of music
I believe this is 1979, it’s an old ass song either way, and still works
Thanks for watching ❤️
I suspect that quite a few folks first time hearing Hank Jr was the Dukes of Hazzard theme song. I'd also be willing to bet they never knew it was Hank that wrote and performed the song.
Thank for watching ❤️
this was written back when nuclear war was a serious thing movies like Red Dawn ect, this was a way of saying we will survive no matter what
Thanks for watching ❤️
“Whiskey bent and hell bound”> (it’s a tribute to his dads music) “tear in my beer” >(with his dad but his dad died when Jr was a kid) “family tradition” “all my rowdy friends are coming over tonight” “outlaw women” >with Gretchen Wilson who is a female outlaw country.
Oh and “if heaven ain’t a lot like Dixie”
Thanks for watching ❤️
Thanks for watching ❤️
I heard this song when it first came out and have loved it every scene! Country GOLD!
I had the pleasure of meeting Hank the third(pretty good)... Hank Jr is great and badass, he has continued Hank Williams (country legend) legacy with attitude and style🤠
Wasn't his uncle it was his friend in New York that died. And you have to do Toby Keith's Courtesy Of The Red, White, And Blue offical viedo. GOD BLESS EVERYONE🙏🙏🙏😇😇😇❤️❤️❤️
Us country boys got them survival insicts 😂
Hank can play anything. Seen him in concert and he can play multiple instruments.
West by God Virginia born and raised, don't call me redneck, I'm Hillbilly. It could be said as an insult but it makes our hearts happy. Most of my grand paps are the first settlers of WV so technically I'm Hillbilly royalty... proudly.
First time i heard this song inwas in the womb. 😊
Thank for watching ❤️
Randall "Hank" Williams "Jr was born in Shreveport, LA May 26 1949 when his famous dad was doing the Louisiana Hay Ride; but Hank called Alabama home; and for many, many years now calls Paris, TN home.
Started listening to Hank Jr. in the very early 1980's. It's an anthem to take care of your own and have values to live by. Eoad the story of why he always wears sunhlasses and a beard. Great movie about him.
Loved Family Tradition
Thanks for watching ❤️
Started following with your Bird reactions.. but I like where you are taking this!
Thanks for watching ❤️
That harmonica makes this song lovely.
So glad I saw you reacting to the Righteous Brothers.. and now I can here you listen to some Country Music.. Hank Jr.. is the country royalty.. his Daddy was a country legend way back in the day.. my grandparents era.. I've always loved Hank Jr.. been blessed to see him 3 times in concert. just love my country Outlaws.. and Hank Jr. country outlaw.
i was raised in a suburb of Detroit by parents from Kentucky & West Virginia. i tell folks i'm 1/3 Buckeye & 2/3 Hillbilly and i'm proud of it. (Buckeye comes from being born in Ohio)! i currently live in Shreverport (NW Louisiana) and fit right in with the southern way of living! my husband, born & raised in Georgia, is a REAL country boy and i love it! he shows me country things all the time and i show him the northern way of doing things! we blend together so well. we're not afraid to be ourselves, even tho we were from different parts of the country. this is my first time seeing you react and i look forward to more reactions! lots of love, linda
Hank and Hank Family are the thread of country music I know IAM 64 and still love it and yr right I love in the a Texas big city and before I die want to go back to the country and live my last days of my life.
I am a hillbilly! Raised in the backwoods of West Virginia! No running water no electricity. Nearest city Sutton almost 2 1/2 hour drive
Thanks for watching ❤️
A hillbilly is not a badge. It's a fact. Compare to city folks, I am sorry

Hank Williams Jr is a legend, and a real survivor. You should look up his biography. And look up his father, Hank Williams Sr. His father was a genuine country legend. Kawliga, I's so Lonesome I Could Cry are just a couple of songs by his father. And his family origins are Alabama.
Thank for watching ❤️
I'm a Metal head from way back, BUT this exact song is what broadened my tastes in music... well, this song and some Parliament Funkadelic. Yeah, I know. 😎
Bring this brother. We love him too.
That base line holds it all together.
I remember back a long time ago "many, many moons ago" hearing "all my rowdy friends are coming over tonight" in a classic pick up truck going down a dirty country road. Oh I know of one country song you'll need a box of tissues with one Ricky Skaggs "go rest high on that mountain" and I can't remember who sings it "whiskey lullaby"
Thanks for watching ❤️
I love this song & his delivery of it. This song is as relevant now as it was when released (1981). Thanks for playing this & your comments. I don't know if you've ever heard Home Free's rendition of "Man of Constant Sorrow" & Loretta Lynn's autobiographical "Coal Miner's Daughter" but they're both fantastic.
Freaking love this.
I first heard this song about 30 years ago. The first time I heard Hank sing I didn't really like him all that much because he primarily sang his dad's songs and I had two problems with that. First, NO ONE can do a Hank Senior song like Hank Senior did it and the music by Hank Senior was just not Hank Junior's kind of music. When Hank Junior stopped singing Senior's songs and started singing his own style, I loved him and I've been a fan for decades.
I was raised in Jamestown, Tennessee which is up toward the eastern part of the state and in that neck of the woods jobs were few and far between and when young men graduated from high school, a lot of them would go to Muncie, Indiana to get a job at one of the plants up there. They worked in Muncie but every Friday after they got off work they headed south so they could spend the weekend with their families in Jamestown and then Sunday afternoon they would get on the road back to Muncie so they would be ready to go to work on Monday morning. It was just a thing that they all came home for the weekend.
There was a joke that a Yankee died and went to Heaven and the first Friday that he was there he was astonished to see Saint Peter chaining a lot of men to good sturdy trees. He asked what those men had done that they needed to be chained and Saint Peter said they hadn't really done anything. He said, "They're all from east Tennessee and if we don't chain them up on Friday afternoon they will all leave and go back home for the weekend."
My favorite songs by Hank Jr. are Rainin' in My Heart, Heaven Can't be Found and Eleven Roses. If you want to check out another song by Hank, try one of those songs. If you want to check out Hank SENIOR, react to Be Careful of Stones that you Throw or Mansion on the Hill. I enjoyed your reaction to Country Boy and you picked up a new subscriber from Nashville.
Thank for watching ❤️
Squirrel, rabbit, deer, quail and fish.😂 My city neighbors complain about my hens but 😂
This video was the 20-year re-release. The song is from the 1980s
Thank for watching ❤️
Great Commentary.......
You commented "I'd don't know if he a friend if he never calles me by my name... Just Hillbilly.."........ When I was Growing up, one of my Uncle's, was called "Junior" not his birth Name.... and I have Firends in the Military, Veteran, and Biker Communities that I have not called/addressed by their "Government" name in Years......
Other Hank Williams Jr songs to check out...... "All my Rowdy Friends are coming over tonight," "The Conversation" with Waylon Jennings, "Tear in by Beer" which is a Remix of him singing with his Dad who passed away when Hank Jr was only 4/5 years old.....
Thanks for watching
I saw Hank with confederate railroad in Cleveland great show!! His daddy was popular!!!

@@o.gyanchiii8323 your welcome. If you ever want to broaden your reactions to a few classical songs let me know. I know some good pieces that will move you and invoke emotions by frequency. XXX Tentacion has researched this topic thoroughly. The use of hertz megahertz and kilo hertz is fascinating. Stay brave young man.
Love your reactions!! Great reaction
Thanks for watching
Great reaction, country has best songwriters.
😯Boy you COUNTRY country you just said "Ford tough", 😂😂 I haven't heard that since the 90s.
Proud to be a hillbilly from Tennessee..! Southern folks are the best..!
