my driver's leather seat is looking close to bad but not horrible in the usual outboard bolster area - not in need of complete replacement. since about 95% of the time for the life (thus far) of my '03 highlander, only the driver seat was occupied and thus there is very little wear on the passenger seat; can i simply swap the driver and passenger seat+heater+cushion? they look identical from what i can see in your very well-done video. thx much, km
Hello ,I haven’t swapped any . Could be possible. Passenger side cushion has an occupied airbag sensor that would need swapping. Also FYI Never turn ignition on while seat is unplugged
Thanks for the video. So If all I needed to do was the replace the heating element (no longer working), would I need to take the entire seat out ?? From this video, it does not look like it. I can simply take the seat cover out, and the seat heater is actually seating right underneath it.
Understood, thank you kindly. Would you know where I can find the part number for the heating element for a 2012 Toyota Highlander SE ? Or where to find a compatible aftermarket equivalent ?
Thanks so much for posting this. I needed to replace the seat cushion pad and your excellent video made the job a breeze.
Very useful and straightforward
What an awesome craftsman. He works quickly, accurately and clean. Not his first rodeo.
that comment makes it all worthwhile THANK YOU
SO informative! Been wondering how to get the big bottom trim piece off to better connect my seat covers.

fraisdegout , you will need to remove seat ( 4 bolts and a few electrical connectors to disconnect)
Makes it easier
