It is fascinating I'll agree. Feel like some serious pitfalls with that machine could occur though.
Someone reinventing the wheel. They tried it 45 years ago and called it the Uni system. It did everything and excelled at none of them
Its interesting. Maybe an operation farming tens of thousands of acres will take a punt on one, but not most farms
Nice concept im just wondering about upkeep if it breaks down you can't spray pick or plant. Sometimes multiple pieces of equipment can get you out of a tight
I'd say it goes both ways, multiple implements in one, compared to having 10 different implements and 3 tractors. If I remember right the bi-rotor combine had a similar idea but I think the compaction would definitely would have been a factor to consider with that design. I think the NEXAT has great potential! I also don't know if it will be a thing in North America for a while, even if it does come on the market.

1100 hp up to 24m tool carying ability reduction in soil compaction, reduced outlay in multiple machines which previously were stand-alone units . only downside is if it breaks down your entire system beaks down o and cant use it in 2 places at the same time as compared to stand alone systems

Ok so, farm hand here. This is a really cool machine that might work eventually, but probably wont take off for several years. First off, I see nothing about cost on here. Id suppose this machine and all its attachments cost well over 1.5 million dollars. I guess it’s electric? Cant imagine how much draw that thing has to charge it. Not to mention this will replace every piece of machinery a farmer has. No ones gonna sink an astronomical amount into this thing when they already have equipment that does the job. Parts availability and upkeep on everything will be super expensive .
In comparison, I got myself a john deere 7000 6 row corn planter for free that I’m rebuilding. Ill have about $1k into it. Next on my list is a tractor, I found a 4430 for $16k. Ill also need a no-till seed drill, they go for about $7500 where I am. Used combines are about $25k. Used semi and trailer for $30k.
So comparing cost setup being $1.5 million vs approximately $80k. For a beginning farmer, I’ll stick with the machinery that works
The machine has 2 engines inside it, apparently they have an electric drive for the tool change. The machine is also not meant for beginners, but rather for big farms. In a german video they talked a bit about the details of the tools. It must have been something about 20 rows of planting or something. You cant comapre this beast to a 6 row planter. It is simply a whole new level.

@@droneactiongermany my point was more towards how this is a good idea, but will be too expensive for many years to come. No farmer I know will buy this to replace their current equipment that does everything they need. My bosses brother used a 6 row planter for 1,200 acres. And I still wonder the price for this behemoth. You can get a 2020 John Deere 1775NT 24 row planter for $300k. A 300hp tractor for $200k. A good used combine for $100k. It’ll be cheaper to buy the current equipment over something new until it depreciates. Its a really good idea and concept, but I dont see a ton of people buying it for many years in the US
@@Cordell- You may be right, but especially farms with a lot of investment volume may invest because of even more reduced soil compaction. And you only have one machine to do everything. But it will take years of course.

What a brilliant idea. Imagine seeding at night, only to get a trash block on the end you can’t see because literally right up the other end of the machine, or drop the end in a stump hole. I wonder how it fairs when some twisting torque is applied.

Yo this thing looks insane! Makes me want to be a farmer 😃 a huge new take on multifunctional farming equipment. Just hope it’s not extremely over priced for the multifunctional innovation….companies who take advantage of that doesn’t help people better their farms or productions, just creat more pains. Although, amazing idea and I can’t wait to see more!

This is cool and all it how easy is it for the average farmer to operate and how much is maintenance?
Wirklich, ich hoffe dass diese Maschine hält was sie verspricht. Sie hat mit dieser Doppelmotorentechnik und , wie nennt ihr das ?, mehrfachachse über einen Aufsatzarm nenne ich es jetzt einmal, so dermassen revolutionäre einsatzmöglichkeiten geschaffen. Man könnte ihn ja auch nutzen um ihn nicht Breit sondern über die Länge zu verwenden , eventuell um tiefer zu pflügen z.b. weil sie die PS auf länge ja enorm steigern, und noch viel mehr. Alleine die flexibilität durch das einfach wechseln der Werkzeugträger. Absolut mindblowing.
Só faltou ser elétrico, aí completava o pacote futuro com sucesso.

Sure it looks cool and efficient but I almost don't want to know how maneuvering that thing around pretty tight roads is easier then moving a quad trac around. Still a good idea. I might want to invest?

i wonder how well it would work on hilly terrain, and also how hard would it be to drive on roads, especialy in europe small willage areas. it might be a good concept for large scale farms

@@birtasconstantinsamuel5678 When you think about it, it doesnt do much more than a tractor, its only abbility to outperform tractor is that it can harvest crop. Spraying, seeding, discing, all that is done by tractor today. maybe one day we get harvesting implement for tractor, but it has tried before and failed. And a machine that does everything dont do great at anyting.
@@MegaBomboloni and also if it breaks down you can’t do anything, you just lost a machine that does all the steps on your farm and all the tools you have are useless because they only work for 1 machine

I’m not sure y’all really understand the purpose of a traditional grain cart if you are listing it as integrated in to the harvesting machine.
I would think they meant holding capacity of a grain cart, which, let's be real, is Achilles heel of modern combines.

Anyone got even a ballpark price on what something like this would be for the unit itself? As well as what a picker, sprayer, planter, etc would be a piece?

Great concept but I want to see it in really wet conditions. Also when it's planting it only seems to be between the tracks so on the next lap is there overlap or will there be a gap where the tracks are.
based on what it was showing it was leaving track gaps in the field that can be used for future working of the crops and keeping all compaction at those points exclusively.

Why does it go sideways? Is that to limit the soil compaction as stated?
It changes directions so it can obey EU road laws while still having a good working width. It's long and skinny to fit down roadways and then transitions to field mode and can be wide to cover a fair amount of ground.

That's quite the concept. BUT, you're saddled buying all of your mating equipment from them. You better be farming half your county to have any chance of paying for such a radical design.
I do believe some huge farms in Ukraine are already using them. But there are less than 5 in the entire Ukraine.
Jumps around so much you can't even see how the machine works or really what it looks like. I doubt they have to worry about anyone copying it.
Works good on flat ground, but on hilly ground and uneven terrain? That's my question.
It looks like the frame is rigid, so it'll be hot garbage on hills and uneven ground. Although, they might have some type of hydraulic system that allows it to flex that is pinned rigid for transport. I think that while it's a neat idea, history has shown that things that try to do everything end up being merely mediocre at all of it at best.
