2:28 honestly, I would consider machine to have gotten one of the bigger changes seeing as booyah bomb got nerfed. Of course no changes to the main weapon but having a nerfed special can make it less oppressive
Similarly, Crab got nerfed indirectly because its counters got buffed. Ink Vac and Reefslider's damage buffs mean they can more reliability break Crab now. Vac especially is a good Crab counter, not only offensively, but also defensively, since it can absorb its shots. Zipcaster duration buff also helps, because it could already be used to get behind Crab, but now it doesn't end before you can splat them.
Well, machine did get slightly nerfed indirectly from the bug fixes as it won’t deal damage to players on the other side of thin surfaces it hits. Apparently there was a spot in Undertow where this was a problem, but the main thing that matters about this is that it doesn’t bypass brellas anymore. It’s more of a brella buff than a machine nerf, but if all the weapons that changed how they interacted with brellas, machine was the only one with two motes changing its damage interactions.

Some advice to improve the video, you should've synced up the footage of the change demonstrations. You can't even really see the difference for the line marker at the start for example, and the bow inkage is a little too hard to see
its not bad for team fights or displancement now by any means. Still annoying but not basicly a near constant smash bros style stage hazard now which should make when it is used alot less frustrating. As much as missiles is hated better they are just less toxic then nerfed so hard they are basicly not in the game like angle shooter.
teams are still going to run missiles since they are still a good special for displacement and disclosing enemy location, but I've already noticed that is MUCH harder to spam missiles even on reeflux which is definitely an improvement I'll take over nothing

This was a great, informative video. But if I may offer some feedback. The text could have stayed on screen a little longer, as the video seemed quite frantic. (I mean it's a quick game, so it's expected) but I think it would give time for the info to sink in if the video was a bit longer and slower. (Meanwhile I'm just gonna go watch it again and slow it down in YT!)
Angle shooter needs the ability to move around like lasers after placed. Also, angle shooter needs the ability to do more damage the closer the opponent is- heck make max damage 95 if they are super super close….
I wish they did more stage changes. A lot of the initial stages just stink. Especially mahi mahi and hammerhead bridge. The change to undertone spillway has little to no effect that I can see in the long run.
Possibly wishful thinking on my end, but I'm assuming that the reason these maps didn't get changed in this patch is because they're getting even bigger changes (maybe even getting reworked) in the next patch.
I think hammerhead is fine, there is good snipe spots for me, while also giving good space for flank routes. Mahi mahi sucks for everyone. I hate mahi mahi. The stupid water when you run respawn punisher makes it even more annoying lmao.
The bloblobber is way too OP. I picked it up for the first time and got 14 splats without even trying. I'm a seasoned dualies user, I can do that with dualies or an umbrella, but I shouldn't be allowed to do it with a weapon I don't even know.
Cus sloshing machine is better than bloblobber, in terms of range, versatility and power. The only thing blob does better is damage but 2 slosh directs are better than the 1 hit kill but easy to avoid bloblob
Wait... that if you hold the tenta missle and launch them just before the meter runs out so by the time it ends the missles are still going. And it gets charged again
@@randommoth4978 ah.. but we don't know that. All we know is that the meter was not close to empty when he used it so it could still refill. so, anyone who spams tenta missiles might just need to hold the special for a longer time in order to get a recharge
Yeah but doing that just wastes more time than if you release it early. Releasing instantly lets you move around while you have a cooldown, waiting just has you doing literally nothing for a few seconds
I hope they scale back the tenta missiles nerf so the cooldown ends when the last missile lands (which already takes forever) because its extremely unsatisfying having those bars when the special is already over, wtf. Why did they have to put that special on Goo Tuber and Reef-Lux? Its frustrating to use tenta-missiles now, but Goo Tuber with torpedo and tap shots is nice, plus its a unique weapon with partial OHKO charges. Reef-Lux is kinda like a Squiffer just with angles, but Squiffer has a nice and fun special and you can jump any time. This is the most bandaid patch for a special I've ever seen, yet that special was in Splatoon 2...how did this happen? Imagine putting lingering cooldowns on any other special once the special is done lol. Please do it to Booyah Bomb and Crab Tank.
@@EXFrost super funny and interactive getting two shot from a safe distance with a good painting, good fire speed and mobility weapon that apear out of nowhere, and can protect itself with a wall of a billion hp, they should make its painting horrible like in splatoon 1 so it can be balance

I understand that the channel host is trying to be the first to upload this content before others, however you went through the changes too fast in my opinion. It is a blink and you miss it kind of deal.
Tentas are one of the most powerful specials in the game because it can reveal their entire team, and it forces people to move or die, which can be a big deal in a competitive setting when the anchor really needs to post up on their little crows nest at mid, but tentas just dropped and now your whole team has to reposition or fight in unfavorable circumstances.
Assuming "tentas" refers to tentamissiles, it's the same weakness other specials like inkstorm and killer wail 5.1 already deal with. The original purpose of missiles (forcing deplacement for a short period) is still relevant and possible; you just have to be smarter and know what timing to use them rather than just pitter around shooting off as many as possible in a separate world from the rest of the match.

You can still see exactly where your opponents are even through walls, you can still force the entire enemy team to give up their position or immediately die, and you can still kill anyone anywhere in the map from the safety of your own base. All this nerf does is make this not happen as often. This shouldn't have been a nerf, this should have been like this *at launch*

My goodness, wiper was already one of my favorite "just for fun" weapons, but now it's going to be one of my favorite "just plain good" weapons.

Mahi Mahi is absolutely trash compared to the first game. I was just playing Splatoon 1 Mahi and marveling at how much space there was. Way more fun.
