I've had this several times in The Netherlands it's delicious. It cant be bought here in the UK so to make it is the best option and it's wonderful, thank you for posting, but the amounts of ingredients would be appreciated. :) Eet smakelijk x

I made it. It was delicious but too sour. I used Zaanse mosterd (spicy wholegrain). I like the taste and spiciness but not sour. Should I use dry mustard seeds instead?
Mustard soup should be slightly sour, which can be countered with the "optional" toppings. This video shows that they're using Groninger Mosterd, which is the local produce. I don't know if it's less sour than Zaanse mosterd, but I don't think it's that much of a difference. Add some more cream or - though I don't really recommend - a sweetener, such as sugar or honey, but that's far from a traditional ingredient. Scallions instead of leek is also nice as a topping.
There is a delicious limburgse milde grove mosterd that goes perfectly with this, problem is that it's no longer a Groninger mosterd soup
to make it sweeter you could add soft fried unoins (slowly fried in a frying pan till caramelized)
