  • Today I'll try to get my revenge and show you a unique, quicker and also delicious way of cooking wagyu beef ribs! This way of cooking ribs has been a tradition in Latin America for centuries and for some weird reason it is not popular here at all and that is why I wanted to show you this different and amazing way of cooking beef ribs! For that, I was able to find these amazingly beautiful wagyu beef ribs in a supermarket near me called Broward Meat and Fish and as soon I saw them I realized I had to cook them! The marbling and size of these ribs are exactly the types you know you won't find every day.
    I truly hope you enjoy this video as much as we did. Like and subscribe for more!

    First time I post...tremendas costillas! I don’t know why I thought you were south. Didn’t occur to me you were in Broward.
    Outstanding job on that, I’ll try it on my Weber. I guess it’ll be low indirect heat.
    Excelente trabajo! Sigue así!

    Were those Short rubs? The multiple bones said so? Not rib bones? Here in Tennessee, smoked beef ribs are quite popular. Still, your recipe looks wonderful, and as always your mastery with the vegetables/condiments are first class all the way.

  • @baileypawsplays1047
    @baileypawsplays1047 3 роки тому +1

    Those ribs are popular here but it just depends on what city and state your in. Usually in Filipino or Korean areas (southern cali) they are everywhere. (Asian supermarkets/non Japanese) Usually they are slice thin through the bones (3 bones per slice) it takes a marinade good and cooks for a 10 min. You can always find them uncut too, just gotta ask. Cooking them whole as you did here is fun as well. 👍

    The guy on the left obviously couldnt chew it and swallow, so hes keeping it in his cheeks to spit out later. I know that sign. The infamous chewy part that you have to store in your mouth because you're too embarrassed to spit it out there and then.

  • @HeavyMetalMike
    @HeavyMetalMike 3 роки тому +1

    How would you do this on a regular grill? Seems like it'd be hard to control the heat without the lift of the Argentinian style grill. Also, do you cook it to the same temperature as smoked?

    • @SaltyTales
      @SaltyTales  3 роки тому +1

      Same way as I did it here. just make sure you can add more charcoal as you need to keep that temp low and that's it! 😀😀

    • @spacedoutcowboy8621
      @spacedoutcowboy8621 3 роки тому +1

      You can make a snake out of your charcoal only lighting the end or the middle, depending on your charcoal structure. Check out snake layouts on You Tube.
      Use your air vents on grill to fine tune. I wish I knew the temp he brought those ribs to......

  • @donny2859
    @donny2859 3 роки тому

    What was the internal temp when they came off? Medium rare or 200+?

    • @baileypawsplays1047
      @baileypawsplays1047 3 роки тому

      Up there around 180 to 200. If you take these full racks to only 130* it will be unedible. The thing with these is that they won't dry put like that and even at those high interal Temps... it will still be pink inside. The key is just like smoking.... take your time getting them up there.vthey are tender and delicious. Low and slow with these things is key. If you want to do them hot and fast get them sliced 3 bones wide. "Kalbi/Korean style) its about a 10 min cook direct with high heat. 🤟👍
