What a fabulous review of the beautiful classic flap. I’m trying to look for one that was made in my birth year and it’s so sweet to know that they hold up for so many years. Don’t worry your baby will forgive you for considering to replace her ❤ haha love itttttt
Hi Trisha! I hope you haven't sold this Chanel purse. I purchased my Paris-Bombay Large flap in 2014 at Chanel Boutique here in Antwerp, Belgium and I'm keeping it forever and I've already passed most of my designers purses to my one and only daughter. As it is large, it has been my go to purse when i travel (dring flights) and i switch to my Chanel LeBoy small, Dior Bobby, My ABC Lady Dior small, LV Reverse Monogram Trunk Clutch at my destination . And i love all the Chanel purses you have in Black. 🖤
@@TrishaCamille smart, girl! I'm adding a Chanel vintage from 1995-2000 in my collection. A Re-issue would be my Top fave but a Medium Flap is alright as long as it is in colour Cognac or in Brown this time. Can't wait to go back to Japan on the 1st trimester of 2025. 🙏🤞
There is a little mark on you CC logo (turn lock), right? If so, your bag is a treasure. Gold alloy plated hardware plus caviar leather, is the most sought after Chanel CF. You can pass it down to your daughter. Don’t sell. 😃
When you spend so much money to buy a bag, you don’t need to consider the quality and cost-effectiveness. But the price of a bag is beyond recognition. It can no longer be simply called a bag. It is more of a decoration. It is not as good as high quality and low price. *condup*
Can I give you some really honest personal input on this . Logically I would say don’t sell this. It looks amazing, leather better quality, real gold etc; but I recently bought the same bag direct from the boutique. I could’ve bought pre loved and I expect the leather would have been better quality and real gold etc but, BUT, I so enjoyed buying one fresh from the boutique and knowing it came direct from the boutique. Don’t listen to me this is terrible advice but it made me so happy lol and I’m still happy about it. I have the same bag but with shw I bought in 2018. The leather is better quality imo. But I wanted gold hw. And for such a special piece I wanted it direct from the boutique. And there are no defects with the bag. I was worried about that from what others have said but mine is perfect. My SA showed me 3 and one had less shiny leather but I think that’s more a difference in the leathers than a defect, I chose the one with shinier leather. And I inspected my bag closely given the recent concerns and there are no issues. Other than I would say my 2018 is shinier and puffier but I’ve since decided not having leather too puffy might be good as my 2018 one has some creasing, as it’s softer. My vote is to do what makes you happiest, life is short. Being a bit more sensible, if you are worried you might regret giving up the current one, why don’t you just go to the boutique and take your current one and compare them and see what you think maybe? And that way you could also have a fun day in the boutique? And then you can really compare and see how you feel? You might end up comparing them and seeing that your current one is far far superior in terms of leather quality and the gold, and then at least you know maybe?
Thank you so much for this! I did end up going to the Rue Cambon boutique, but only left with an SLG. I realized maybe its also not my time yet to buy new. I did however make a pact to myself to return to Rue Cambon when I'm older to get a classic flap from there. Getting something from the flagship is just something so magical!
@@TrishaCamille ah that’s lovely you went to the RC boutique, I hope you post a vlog of that! I’d love to go some day. Sounds like you made a considered decision and will have a future purchase and trip to look forward to! You can always decide to sell your current bag and another one maybe in the future at any time to pay for a future classic flap for a special occasion maybe!
Hi girl! Great video and super interesting. I have to say that in my experience when you buy from the store, if you were to have an issue with the pop stitch they would repair it for you without a problem and free. I know because me myself I had a loose stitch on one of my bags and they repaired it super quickly less than 2weeks and free. Ive also had issues with a belt and some jewelry and they repaired it. I know we mostly hear about the negative stories but just wanted to share that I had a good experience so far with needing any kind of repair. (Im in Canada though) And I would say keep it and instead buy something else from the Paris store hehe
Thank you!! I did end up visiting Rue Cambon but felt like it wasnt time for me to get a new classic flap yet. I did get something else instead though, albeit small. A little souvenir from Rue Cambon to remember my trip by! ❤

Every bag has its own story, and every story is a part of you. Why care about other people’s opinions? Live with confidence and do what you love *condup*

I think you better don't buy a new one, because the older bags I heard have better quality.
