… Rock music is explained like this: there is a lead guitar, an organ, a bass, a singer, a drummer ... and there is DEEP PURPLE !!! A MASTERPIECE 💎!! There is nothing more to say! … 🎸🎹🥁🎤 Thank you
You just stumbled on one of the greatest rock performances ever. Live on TV, no auto tuners click tracks, no pro tools. This is live no BS. DEEP PURPLE is a legend 💜.
You are spot on John...... that song was the cause of Ian Gillan leaving the band after constantly fighting with Ritchie. Ritchie refused to understand that vocal chords can’t be fixed or replaced like guitar strings...... he wanted Ian to sing that every performance. Ian tried to tell Ritchie that he needed many days break between singing it or his voice would just blow up.........and be lost forever.
They were all such great musicians at their particular instruments. The great Richie Blackmore is considered to be in the top 5 Rock guitarists of all time, and the other guys are top shelf as well. Iconic "Classic Rock" era Band.
Deep Purple tourne encore , mais la femme du chanteur Ian Gillan est décédée il y à moins d'un mois , courage à lui , je l'ai ai vu trois fois en concert , que du bonheur !!!
I like your reactions so much, young friend. You got class, you're so professional. Greetings from Italy. Excellent job 👍⚡I saw Deep Purple in Torino .....PURE FIRE.....
The album "Deep Purple IN ROCK" had - gladly - a heavy impact on my life and to my passion for music! I heard this record as a six year young kid when I had to go bed to sleep. My sister heard fairytales and horse stories to fall asleep and I heard my Deep Purple vinly on my headphones, so I don't have to hear her lame girly cassettes. The impact: I became music addicted and now, I am working in the music bizz since decades! :) Thanks Deep Purple! (< btw. DP was the favourite band of my mother when she was young ^^+gg). A must have record is "Deep Purple - Made in Japan"; one of the best live albums ever. It's the "greatest recordings" of the "Deep Purple - Live in Japan" concert-vinyls.
Correct! No (or minimal, crappy) monitors. No one picks up on that. Yeah, the situation sucked. One did one what could. All the more impressive when you consider state of things at the time.

Ian Gillian played the title role of Jesus in the Broadway theater version of the rock opera "Jesus Christ Superstar". (Not the movie version). Unbelievable! I have both versions on vinyl LPs. I heard it for the first time in Catholic High School religion and music classes.
Dude, I'm glad you liked the music. But struggling to read the wikipedia article, not knowing anything the people, and nothing but begging for cash on the screen, gotta say, not that impressed.
I was 10 years old and loved deep purple 💜
I loved growing up in the 60s 70s. Was a great great time
Masterpiece.
70's was just fabulous 🌟
Now you see why us old "Hippies" say we had the best music.
Does my heart good to see young people appreciate it.
What amazes me most is that even though he got disturbed by the camera man his voice kept continuity - flawlessly delivered.

Probably my favorite vocal performance of all time on a hard rock song.
Don’t end there! The best live rock ,pop, heavey, soft singing performance ever!
Nicht nur für 1970, sondern für alle Zeit.

I highly recommend Deep Purple's live album titled Made in Japan.

You my good man experienced excellence at its best won’t find better !
I was 18 in 1970. Anti-war ballad! Very fitting these days. Don’t wait for the ricochet boys❤️☮️👵🏼

Of all of them I would say Lord is the pinnacle, top three at the very least.
Great song, and a great reaction !!
The great bands of this time were something to see. 70-73 was peak Deep Purple.
Totally iconic…imagine if this had come out a year earlier and they had played Woodstock 🤯
All are master musicians. Ian Gillan also played Jesus Christ on the original album More amazing vocals from him and many others
Yes, he was Jesus Christ Superstar, then later joined Black Sabbath. Life rarely gets weirder than that!
Deep Purple tourne encore , mais la femme du chanteur Ian Gillan est décédée il y à moins d'un mois , courage à lui , je l'ai ai vu trois fois en concert , que du bonheur !!!
Ian’s father was in music and I believe his uncle was an opera singer. I know father or uncle was and they taught him well.
Coerrection: grandfather was the opera singer and uncle was jazz pianist.
Deep Purple best selling album is Machine Head, l think 😏 anyway l love every song on it Great reaction!
Four Thousand Subscribers! Congrats John.
Try and have a listen to their 1972 live Made in Japan album. Every track is superb, one of the best live albums ever.
Love this track, and as you say he is pitch perfect on the scaling up rwps.
Burn by deep purple is an absolute acidnrock mind bender. The solos man The solos
Yes, great album! But practically a different band: both Gillan and Glover are gone by then. Definitely worth a listen here though.
@@SteveJonesHimself still deep purple 💜
@@SteveJonesHimself Ian Paice, Blackmore, and Jon Lord was still there, though.
@@irvxan Yep, great album. One step closer to Rainbow. Hughes and Coverdale really brought something good to the mix.
You need to listen to Made in Japan. The whole album smokes
to my mind it's more bluesy hard rock than anything else

Dude, you should apply as a broadcaster on PBS with that smooth ass voice
Or NPR🤣
Have you reacted to Stargazer by Rainbow? it's the same guitarist Ritchie Blackmore
Little homage to flight of the bumblebee on the organ solo if you listen only couple bars but there.
Have a listen to "Smoke On The Water". The story involves another band you have listened to a lot on your channel.
2nd try, ignore it first actually worked. Love Smoke on the Water :)
Last round with Gibson

Oh I have those same lights as you. Lol 🤣😆
It's about the Cold War
my first concert... salem oregon... tickets were 2 dollars and 50 cents... 1969 gas was 23 cents a gallon...
because the live band video is more interesting than your full screen vieo

Please check out Dream Theater's cover of this cool jam.
what was the 1st cover of this song that you listened to?!
am I the only one that's bugged when the music audio is half a beat off sync with the video?
Aren’t you better than your moniker. ??
Great song but you lost the video at the start, so you lost me…😮
