I enjoyed how close id be able to get it to a first person pov, but the little plastic guide rod snapped on me leaving it unusable sadly. Definitely needs a stronger design. Maybe instead of a plastic spring holding the top and bottom portion together with a tiny guide rod, they can be two separate pieces where the lower bit of the mount has the plastic spring but the upper part of the mount has grooves on the inside so the entire lower bit can slide in so there isn't any need for a guide rod.
Best camera mount for helmet hands down. Now make a v2 of the hat mount that flips it vertically and gets the lens lower 😀 I miss the POV angle! Alternatively: send me a copy of your 3rd eye goggle mount for those sexy ADS shots!

I have an Atn 4k 5x-20 Spotting Scope - but it has no auto focus. I also use a gopro 6 black with a 50mm lens. In your opinion, the best camera today would be your 90mm 4k runcam ???
hi. Does this work with the Hero 7 black ,with the super suit case? can you lower the angle with that case? I mean that i don't want to point the camera to up...from your video,i can see a limitation for lower angle shoots,because the camera is touching the helmet and thats it. If the arm is not long enough , you are not able to point the camera down.

If the hat cam got any lower you would be seeing the bill of the hat. The hero 8 version is very minimalist. Have you seen it?

Crank it down. Maybe use some pliers if you need more leverage.

Ive heard of guys using them, maybe toss the helmet bungees around to keep it from moving even further.
This can be even greater if the hat had a battery bank case so we can shoot All day video

Fits em all well might need to have the L tabs removed off the back which takes a few seconds.

Should work. You can always add a short gopro extension arm if you need to fudge it

Would not recommend. Will not work with my helmet, appears to large.
If you are using a non replica you need to cut off the 2 L shaped tabs on the back to get it to fit.
