I love how basic and slab sided it is then turn it around and there's a spectacular movement. The balance just looks amazing. I don't think winding it every day would grow old either because you don't have to pull out the crown, just wind it as you go about your day
That's a riiight chonky-monky.... 42mm? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeet I thought they were 37! 38/39 would be perfect but I ain't gonna rock a 42mm... no way Jose.
Thank you for this review. What sort of performance in terms of accuracy does this watch have? I can see the beauty of the craftsmanship in the three quarter plate and elsewhere, but I’d love to know how that affects its accuracy in terms of +/- seconds per day. Great to see the hacking seconds feature too.
@@UA-camComments I have seen several I would buy on Chrono24. I prefer a "Central Seconds" and most have the small seconds complication at the bottom of the dial. I just think it looks classier that way.
this watch is for the true watch guy, no flash, no hype, just pure watch made like 100 years ago...
totally agree.. truly understated beauty.
Yes, same as Hublot. Agreed.

There’s a 38.5 mm version too.
Thanks for the video, have your thoughts changed on this watch over the many minths, do you still enjoy it?

I haven't worn it too often so I'm not sure how accurate it is now. Dornblueth claims accuracy from -2/+6 range.
Such a elegant timepiece
I love the anti-Rolex approach. Beautiful craftsmanship and planning to buy one soon.
how/where? Directly from d.d.?
@@UA-camComments my first will probably be a used one and maybe in the future will go to Kalbe when I visit my sister in Germany.

'Snail' pattern on the barrel. Not 'sunburst'. Nice piece. Enjoy.
When has DD&S ever made a chronograph?
so this was in the package that the postman trow on your porch nice...
No.. not this! Thank god it wasn't this.
im from brazil i'd like to read your thoughts on brands such as jacques lemans tonino lamborghini
42 for a dress watch? Too large. They make this type of watch in a 40 with the same movement from tourby. Stowa is 41.
To say this is the same movement as the Tourby would be a gross overstatement.
should be 38mm
Did you just say Stowa? Compared to a handmade watch, made by 9 krauts, in a German watchmaking haus? Good one.
@@malthus101 38,5 on the website perfect for me
