How to Avoid Ricing in Soap | GIVEAWAY | Cold Process Soap Making

- In my last video ( • Making Two Soaps in On... ) I dealt with ricing and subsequent acceleration from the fragrance oil I used in my cold process soap. I decided not to give up on my fragrance oil but to try our a different soaping technique that would help to avoid the ricing. I had a lovely spin swirl design in mind but made sure to have a contingency plan which I ended up using in this soap. I hope you enjoy watching and don't forget to subscribe.

This turned out very pretty. I had a batch rice and separate on me yesterday, using a Cedar fragrance. I had to pour all the separate colors together back in my big pitcher and use the stick blender to get the oils combined again. I was pretty disappointed because I then just had brown soap. The Cedar fragrance smelled wonderful.

I have a FO from Bramble berry and it says that it rices and accelerates.
Some colours accelerate trace too.
These actually turned out beautifully! I have ideas for soap names but they sound silly to me. LOL!
Also, I still smell like man soap as does my entire house as I rebatch (in a crock pot) my 2nd of the weekend failscapade soap . XD Pretty sure I'm not ready for making large batches just yet like I tried this weekend.... It's amazing how quickly we adapt as soap makers. I had planned an in the pot swirl to use in my river rock silicone mold but oooof, it trace before even getting the main batch out of the pot! (I used mango butter for the first time with my regular recipe so i'm thinking I should figure out calculations because maybe I used too much? So hard to trace back to figure out errors. LOL!) Your adaptation of your initial idea, ended up looking gorgeous! It reminds me of a cotton candy colored sky.
