  • I decided to do a video showing step by step details on how I make soap frosting. It gives the best techniques to ensure a really lovely frosting for cold process soap. This soap uses a discoloring fragrance oil and I factored that into the making. Enjoy.

    Thank you so much for putting this video out. I was having a difficult time with soap frosting. I see now, I just need to wait. Patience is not my virtue 😂. I so appreciate when shapers share their tips. Thanks again!

    Thank you! I have seen others use the heat transfer method but they didn't talk about what they were doing in the videos.

    Where does someone get those large plastic buckets round and/or square so many of you use?? I’m very new to soap making. I’m still watching TONS of videos to learn all i can first. Also i have lots of experience in cake decorating so that part should be easy

      Just seeing your comment. Honestly I don't even remember where I bought mine but I think it was a soap supplies type of website. You can also check on Amazon. Having done this for so long though, I'll tell you for sure you may not really need the super large buckets to start with because you'll always want to make smaller soap quantities to start with.

    What if I don’t do the heat transfer method? Can I just microwave my hard oils and soap melts ?

    • @CreamySuds
      @CreamySuds  2 роки тому

      I actually sometimes microwave my hard oils and then pour in my liquid oils once that is melted. So sure you can do that..

    Do you find that this combo decreases the sofa ash?

    • @CreamySuds
      @CreamySuds  2 роки тому

      I find that there's wayyy less soda Ash if the soap gets to a thick trace as it is when piping. I didn't have soda Ash on this one.

    Do you keep the frosting at a cooler temperatures that your base soap?

    • @CreamySuds
      @CreamySuds  10 місяців тому

      I didn't try to regulate the temperature at all because I needed it to get thick enough to be used as frosting.

    I know it’s a year since you posted this video but I hope you called this soap chocolate pie; that’s all I could think of while watching you make this 😊

    • @CreamySuds
      @CreamySuds  2 роки тому +1

      Hahaha I love that name!!! I still have a few of them available you know and it's such a creamy thick lather I may find its formula and use it more. I think I'll be changing the name on my website to Chocolate pie 🥰❤🤎 Thank you for watching too 😊

    Nice video! The use of gloves while handling your hard oils would be great for video presentation. 🌹🌹

    • @CreamySuds
      @CreamySuds  2 роки тому +5

      Thank you. I see what you mean but the only reason gloves are worn is soap making is really because of the Sodium Hydroxide. Remember it is soap and not food and even when cooking, you really just need clean hands.

      Honestly I don't rememebr the recipe but you can try a recipe from this video. It won't make much of a difference for the frosting. ua-cam.com/video/dcs3rdSmR-g/v-deo.htmlsi=rl0x4Pdvqrg9ZdfX
